Worst service ever…

I’m sitting on the floor in the parts corridor as I’m writing this, been here around 40 minutes, rang a door bell several times…. Nothing not an iota of service or anything to sit on even though I repeatedly wait for up to an hour!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Don't use them

I will never use S&B Commercials Welham Green, Hatfield, again. I used them twice and both experiences have been awful. Kept my vehicle overnight to do a wheel alignment and when I went to collect the next day they said nothing was done as I need to change a tyre. They did not mention this before to me, either on the phone or when I gave them the vehicle, Nor did they think it was fit to call me and let me know. Not to mention the reason is absolutely rubbish. You can definitely do a wheel alignment before changing tyres (did it before) as the only difference a worn tyre would make is a change to the vehicles ride height which given today's steering and suspension design should be negligible as most experts agree. But I would not have minded doing it if they would have told me when I explained to them that I have a worn tyre. They did not mention at any point that they will not be able to do it. I also asked them if they can change the plastic on my mirror. They said of course, its easy. Next day they said nope cant do.. you will need to spend £300 on a whole new mirror, the plastic cant be changed. It was clear to me they were in no mood to do any work and decided they won't do it. They were also very rude when I asked for explanations and for something to confirm my vehicle stayed with them overnight as I do not trust them one bit, after the experiences I had with them. The first experience I had with them was when I asked them to activate my pro connect services on a van I bought somewhere else. They initially refused saying I should have bought the van from them, and the guy gave me a lecture on how I should not go and buy from others and come to them for activating services (ughhh... dude, you are a Mercedes Benz approved dealership and when I called Mercedes they told me to call you as yuo HAVE TO do it). When I said I will complain to top management about this appalling behaviour, they changed their mind and said they can "of course" do it. I just misunderstood. Of course it took 3 weeks to activate it as they were too busy for this. Awful customer service

EXTRAS NOT SUPPLIED

I took delivery of new Commercial pickup June 2020. I paid for extras that were not supplied. 7 months later I am still waiting for a refund or the supply of the extras. They just ignore my calls and Emails

Do not use this company. They are Cowboys. They take your money and run

The customer service was abysmal

The customer service was abysmal, I'm not sure what goes on behind closed doors but it is clear they hold little value to a customer.
I found it incredibly difficult to get a call back, get answers to any of the quite simple questions I had asked.
I did speak with a director, he was slightly more conscious (yes - more awake than the other staff) but really worried me that he spoke to his staff like he was Jeffery Epstein :/

I went a bought a van from Ford, Stevenage.

Appalling customer care

Appalling customer care, service dept and warranty. Their business model is based simply on selling large volumes of vehicles. Luckily there are good Mercedes dealers out there who will look after you so make sure you look around.

The worst of the worst!

Took a Vito van in for a replacement water pump and head gasket as instructed. Went to pick it up they also fitted a new radiator without asking me first. Had to make them go back and re-fit the old one which took another day. Must have annoyed the mechanic having to do that because on the way back discovered the alternator had failed. Took it to an independent dealer who showed me that the alternator had been sabotaged and doused in new oil all over.

Abismal - I couldnt throw my money at them!

Company is clearly understaffed or can't keep their staff. Attempted to buy a Mercedes Benz Van, had the same conversation over and over again with various sales staff (male and female) - just repeating myself each time, promised quotes, details etc only to then not receive calls back.

I had to call them on a number of occasions - and got to the stage that I was asking if they even want £30k of my money. Clearly the staff at Mercedes are earning far too much money to deal with us normal folk.

Finally spoke with the boss - seemed like a proactive chap but had a really pushy, antiquated sales technique that might have worked in the 1980's - very bullish, arrogant and not something I respond very well to.

Went elsewhere and wont be going back to S&B Commercials ever again
