Scalapay is an innovative payment service allowing consumers to pay for their purchases in 3 instalments, without interests: the first at the time of ordering, the second after one month and the third after two months.
Scalapay is available on more than 3,000 brand partner websites and in more than 4,000 physical shops. Its partners include names such as Kiko, Twinset, Douglas, Shein, Alpitour and Stroili, as well as fashion, beauty, home and travel companies in 9 countries (Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Finland).
How does it work?
Online, the customer can select the payment option at the time of purchase, register and proceed to enter their credit, debit or prepaid card details. The balance will automatically be divided into three instalments, the first immediately, the second and third one month apart. Choosing to pay through Scalapay has no cost, in terms of interest or commission, for the end customer.
In-store, the customer registers on the Scalapay website, selects the retailer where they want to buy and how much they want to spend. The Scalapay system generates a barcode which, when presented at the checkout, will be scanned to complete the transaction.

Does what it advertises (for the best part) but it's not very good overall
Only not giving one star because their credit limit is quite high and clear. Everything else is horrible, app bugs a lot, customer service is non existing sometimes it can take weeks at a time to receive a reply which is non acceptable when it's an urgent matter. Functionalities like delay a payment don't work 99% of the time (I never once had it appear on my purchases) and there's a lot of conditions that you need to meet that are not advertised and customer service explanations on the reasons change everytime you ask. I recommend Klarna instead since it's way more flexible and customer support is really helpful and you can get a reply in a couple minutes through live chat or call.
