DO NOT BE SCAMMED! I placed an order on February 26th.
On March 2 I received a tracking number stating the package was shipping from California.
I paid for two day shipping.
On March 6, I contacted them asking about the status of the shipment with no reply because it had not shipped in four days.
I contacted them again on March 10 and they replied back “ will ship you another one”, with no tracking information and no signature on their email. I was basically treated like I was an inconvenience for asking about my order that never shipped.
There is no clearly verified public record showing who owns ScentsEvent. It appears to be a privately run online decant seller operating from California, but the individual owner or company entity is not clearly disclosed.

Not only did the package arrived damaged due to poor packaging, but smelled like absolutely nothing! It was so watered down and the juice didn’t even match the color of the authentic fragrance. They said they would replace it, but as soon as I called them out on receiving a watered down product and demanding a refund, they disappeared. I had to dispute the charge with my bank. They are thieves. This company should not be getting away with this! I’m a fragrance collector and know a fake when I see one.

Just received my order from scent event 3-2-2026 Nishane Papilefio, Xerjoff Louis XV 1722, Dior Tobacolor, 1 Million Oud all four of the bottle where leaking two of them where only filled three fourth. All of them did not smell like what I sample at the store. I own several bottles of each brand. To be warned Order #388937] (February 24, 2026)

I ordered 5ml decant of Bois d'Armenie - Guirlain perfume. I hadn't had the chance to try this fragrance before. When I received the package, I realized 5 ml wasn't enough—I loved it so much. This perfume has been discontinued. After trying unsuccessfully to find a full bottle, I decided to order a 15 ml decant from the same website. It cost $70 plus about $20 for shipping. When I received the package, I was perplexed. It was a completely different perfume! Not only did it smell different, but the color of the liquid was different. I showed both samples to my sister and asked her to compare them. She also thinks they are different scents. I wanted to leave a review about this on the ScentsEvent website, but I couldn't log in to my account. I decided to write about it because I'm still in shock.

I placed a substantial order for 8 different niche perfume samples/decants totaling $171.16 Upon delivery, the situation was immediately alarming:

Damaged & Leaking Goods: The package arrived in poor condition with leaking vials.
Counterfeit Fragrances: As an owner of authentic bottles (e.g., Roja Dove Sweetie Aoud from Neiman Marcus), I conducted a direct comparison. The products received had zero projection, negligible longevity, and an entirely incorrect scent profile. They were clearly fake.
Do not risk your money. STAY AWAY.

Sample scents are fine but the company has an issue with their order processing. Even when you pay extra for expedited shipping, the say it’s shipped when it’s not. The order notes and status are misleading. If ordering make sure you order at least two weeks in advance of when you expect to have it and do not pay for expedited shipping. You’ll just be out money for no reason. When I raised issue that item was not shipped as noted in the order (only label created) they took days to reply and only replied after it was dropped off at the post office days later which by then it was too late for me to receive on time. They would not refund the extra money paid for 3 day shipping.

Company offered to correct the problem

The decants were diluted with alcohol or something. I had others to compare and they were weak and colorless. obvious they were not authentic
I returned on my dime and they kept 20% and they will likely sell the fakes to another sucker like myself.
This is a fraud company and stay away. many more sellers online and try ebay, etc before these frauds.

As soon as I took the bottle out of the package I knew it was off because the colour of the real perfume (which I own) was not the same as what I got (pink versus yellow). I decided to give it a sniff anyway, and sure enough, screechy, alcohol “somewhat” reminiscent of what the perfume should smell like but it had a dollar store quality to it. Absolute garbage for $200 (vs the real fragrance at $600).
I emailed these scammers and went back and forth, at first said they can refund, then they said they couldn’t, then finally they could. I asked for a return label and was denied, implying I should ship it back at my own expense.
I contacted my credit card company and asked them to step in, which they did.

Bottom line - I was weary of these negative reviews - and I’m posting because the perfumes they sell are INDEED FAKE and God knows what chemicals are in this.
YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!

This is your sign to NOT buy from Scents Event. Do not buy. These are fake scents, poorly packed, they came spilled all over the place. I have tried other brands like MicroPerfumes and ScentsSplit and it's a completely different experience.
Do not buy, don't waste your money.

I have been a customer of Scentsevent for a few years, now. Always good selection, good prices and professional service.

This company is sending incorrect fragrances . Buyer beware!

I ordered three scents from MFK all of which I have smelled before.

I have the official MFK sampler which is how I picked the scents I wanted. These are not even close to the original. They have a strong bit of rubbing alcohol and smell terrible after just a few minutes.

Add on: this company is trying to dispute this review before they have even responded to my customer service inquiry. RED FLAG.

Add on: after reviewing the official Maison Francis scent wardrobe ordered from the official site the decants from scentsevents are not even the same color. When I sent pictures to scents event they claim that the official scents must be old and that’s why there colors are different. These are not even close to the originals they claim to be.

Update: scents events is trying to pressure me to remove this review as a condition of my return. They have emailed me over 30 times. Borderline harassment had to block them.

I alternate between this site and decantx for my samples. They each just have a slightly different selection and slightly different pricing. All samples have been authentic and packaged well. I had an issue with my reward points and it was handled well. Overall highly recommended for authentic samples at low prices.

Ordered 2 decants and smelled like foul rubbing alcohol and nothing like the original. I am busy and order a ton online so a bit hard to keep up but I emailed to exchange and no response. Beware! I found multiple threads on reddit with the same experience and receiving a completely different perfume. Run! Save your money!

I ordered 2 decants that I have worn before. Both arrived quickly, but I immediately noticed something "off" about one of them. The sprayer/atomizer STUNK and contaminated the whole bottle. I reached out immediately for support... nothing.
I reached 3-4 more times, over numerous days, through the various contact methods provided (chat, email, web contact form) until someone eventually responded.
I was asking for a replacement or return of the problem sample. I was offered to exchange for a different fragrance, being told that I would likely have the same experience with another decant of the same fragrance... Apparently they have lots of stinky atomizers.
Support eventually agreed to send another sample, but that was 10 days ago and I haven't heard or seen anything since...
AVOID!

EDIT: Sep 12, 2024 - Still waiting on a replacement to arrive, 7-8 days after I was told to expect it. Reduced from 2 stars to 1.

Shipping was on time and fast. Package products well. Experience was great and will be exploring other products soon.

Never received my order, emailed Scents Event multiple times with no response. Filed a claim and appeal with USPS and was denied.Total waste of money, Would stay away from them.

This company sends fake fragrances. I became suspicious when I purchased a sample of Le Male Lover. I ended up purchasing a full bottle from Jean Paul Gaultier and it was NOTHING even remotely close to the sample. I decided to test more, and Louis Viutton Imagination was completely wrong as well. Not even remotely similar in color or scent. Stay away. These people are scam artists.

Excellent Service. Very happy with my first experience with Scentsevent. My order was shipped quickly and packaged well. I appreciate the Fragrances that Scentsevent has available for purchase and will be doing more shopping with them.

Ordered for the first time. Every sample was clearly fake or watered down to the point where you couldn't smell the fragrance.
