The replies to customers reviews from Shaffers Company should be telling enough to warn you NOT to sign up for this service. They gaslight and are very defensive towards customers and show no care towards their complaints. The 90 day required waiting period is harsh and makes them appear selfish and entitled to your money even if you're unhappy with the service before then. All that being said, if you subscribed to a get rich quick scheme, and are unhappy, thats your own fault because they're all shams!

My recent experience with Shaeffer's Investment Research has been very positive. In particular, my account advisor/executive (Eric) has been most helpful in guiding me around their extensive website -- such as the Alert versus Bulletin services. Also, in helping me to identify the products that I consider best suited for my use.

My interactions with John Voss have been informative, respectful and extremely helpful. He has all the attributes that one would hope for as a customer service representative. He reflects greatly on the integrity of Schaeffer's investment research. He is simply "the best".

Ryan was very knowledgeable, courteous & polite.
He went above & beyond to assist me. Every time I called him, he would pick up & never left me without an answer. He has been a tremendous help to me.

My experience working with John Voss from Shaffer Investment is excellent. Over last few years I have talked to him many times and he has taken time to answer all my option questions. He even took time to discuss strategy and provided me information I requested about certain product like win rate and other strategy. He is knowledgeable and friendly that I feel comfortable to call him anytime when I have something on my mind. He never shown frustration on my continuing to ask questions and always happily helped me. I wish I can find someone like him at other investment places.

I have my reservations about Alex Jackson but everyone else has treated me with respect and are extremely helpful! This service is well worth the cost! And, I recommend it to everyone, especially if you don't or can't be at your computer 24/7!

I wouldn't even give them a one star. These people are rude, dishonest, and very deceptive. Don't have anything to do with them unless your looking too throw you money away.

Very dangerous con. The reviewer that stated you would be far better off to do the exact opposite of what they recommend was spot on, exactly right. I am initiating an SEC review of their practices. It cannot be legal and it surely is not ethical to sell this "service". Shameful

I subscribed to the Elite options service in late January with a 75% refund after 90 days if I were not happy. Long story - lost about $6,000. Contacted them for refund before the 90 days (wanted to make sure I was due a refund). Was told they couldn’t refund until after the end of the 90 days. Contacted them right after expiration. It’s been over two weeks and NO refund. Was told the refund had been processed but it does not appear in my current transactions which I monitor daily. If the refund isn’t processed by next Monday I’m contacting the credit card company and reversing the entire charge for breech of contract.

This company obviously does not have any fiduciary responsibilities with their recommendations. A vast majority of their recommendations are losing trades. In addition they try to get you to enroll in multiple services, all with a poor record. Novice or experienced, I would stay away from this investment advisory service.

I hate to admit mistakes but with investment advisors, it seems the vast majority are mistakes! I erred buying into Schaeffer's about 10 years ago. I bought the super trader in hopes of being rich by now. It was also with the understanding that Super Trader" included all advisories now and in the future.
Early in the system, I made the decision I erred big time. I paper traded for a while and decided they didn't know SQUAT. Frankly it seemed then and remains apparent, do just the opposite of their recommendations.
I looked at the results of their last 100 recommendations for the program I signed on for - they're batting about a 25% win rate! That means a 75% lose/wrong rate! You'd need a 1:4 risk to reward ratio to just break even!
Schaeffers has even questioned this post - I paid about $4,000 for super trader (OK I started out with this was an error!) Having purchased several advisories, let me emphasize, there are few useful advisories!!!

I paid for a couple of their services premium trader where you sell a spread however it's usually a 5 wide which is $500 and you collect about $30 so essentially you tie up $470 to make $30, unless you have a big account, its garbage and Expiration Week Countdown where they say exit instruction are provided and claim " It doesn't get much easier than that to make some big profits" I tried to get a refund 2 days after I purchased I had not even received any alerts yet and they refused said they can give me a credit towards another service that was about $3500. Alerts are garbage maybe 1 in 8 workout, the service seems reasonably priced, however factor in all the money you are going to loose from there alerts and its thousands. Save your money

Very helpful when I signed up for a product . Guy said he'd be there for me. My account balance is minimal , the first recommended trade went south. So I called to cancel, the original guy doesn't take my calls. The next guy explained that my purchase is pro rated , & that I can't cancel til after 90 days ?! I don't remember it being explained that way.
I upped the rating number because they have finally replied to my concerns. Thanks .

I am quite pleased with the servicing I get from the highly skilled and highly trained professionals over at Schaeffer's Investment Research. I have been taught so much in regards to options and trading. I am definitely getting back what I put in.

I have made money with almost every option trade alert. They are not "perfect" but they have an amazing success rate and the wins far exceed the losses.

Just received e-mail for my newly opened account:

Clearly then know NOTHING about security and double opt-in confirmation. Also, sending and STORING my password in the clear, in their database, so they can send me openly via e-mail? In 2020? Come on. So poor.

EDIT: Reply from Schaeffer after 2 years. Wow. And their reply is poor excuse why they not hash/salt their passwords! Its 2022 already and they still haven't learned. YOU DO NOT store passwords in the clear in your database - you always hash/salt them. Get some intern IT guy to explain you this.
