Please do not use this company
We would strongly advise against using Schmid Logistik / Transporte in Berlin for any relocation services. Our experience was extremely stressful and fell far below the premium standard that was promised. They charged for a Rolls Royce Service but provided exactly the opposite. I would go as far as wishing I had never heard of Benjamin Schmid and his company.
Our initial point of contact, Frank Keller, presented the company professionally and gave us confidence through repeated assurances regarding the quality of service. Unfortunately, those promises were not fulfilled, and the entire process became a complete disaster from beginning to end. Contacting him during the process was impossible.
Most concerning is the company’s handling of our refund. More than three months later, we are still waiting to receive €9,730 owed to us. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the matter directly, all communication is now being ignored. As a result, we have had no option but to contact the local authorities and begin legal proceedings against the owner, Benjamin Schmid, in order to recover our funds.
This experience has caused significant stress, financial uncertainty, and unnecessary disruption during what is already a demanding process for any family or individual moving home.
Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Schmid Logistik and would urge others to exercise extreme caution before engaging their services.
