Charles Schwab has the best customer…
Charles Schwab has the best customer service, anywhere.
I have been a Charles Schwab customer for over 30 years. I've found no company of any type that offers better customer service. When I call I can get promptly connected to a highly competent human who has the tools to do what I need. Their website and app are among the best--full featured, fast, reliable. I have had minimal problems with Schwab in my 30 year experience and everyone I know personally who uses Schwab has had a similar experience.

Empty promises regarding my withdrawals. Topciphertrails got involved and changed the situation. I got a refund swiftly.
Fraud…
I noticed money moved out of my Ira called Charles Schwab reported it. Someone wired $30000.00 to a bank in South Dakota that was not associated with my account. Been calling haven’t got any answers. They have not reached out to me once to explain what’s happening. Don’t even know what information to give to police cause they have it all. Terrible guardians of my money even worst customer service.

They do everything they can to hold on to what's yours. Dealing with support feels intentional, like it's designed to wear you down. Simple requests requests turn into obstacles, and nothing moves forward. It's exhausting trying to access what should have not been a struggle in the first place.
My experience so far with #Stovëx #Global has been simple. When I requested a payout, it didn't take unusually long.
Go to PAY MINE, They are #more #consistent
The negative reviews are absolutely true , Charles Schwab has a lot to fix, The returns on investments and customer support is poor . Please avoid if you can .
Horrible Service!
I have a significant account with them and I happened to run out of toner. To transfer funds into the account I need to sign a form and the signature cannot be electronic. They do not have means of taking care of this electronically because they only use DocuSign for companies. That is, if you are not a company you are not important enough for them to get the privilege to use this service. So I will need to take a trip to a public library to print the form. I bet any money that the cost of using Docusign is a lot less than the mailing of the form (which they offered to do) and which would take at least two weeks with the snow we have around here!
Not Worth The Fees & 1099 Issues
Schwab has too many corrected 1099 forms. Some come in so late that tax filing extensions are necessary. They just can’t get their act together on this point. Would recommend using another platform such as Vanguard, E*Trade, Fidelity, etc. Beyond that my experience with Schwab advisors is that their fees are not worth their insight. ETFs beat advisors consistently because fees wipe out so much of the gains. There’s plenty of information out there on it. “The Retirement Gamble” documentary and the book “The Simple Path To Wealth” by J L Collins are two great sources on smarter investing.
I have been waiting with no answers…
I have been waiting with no answers while they keep blaming technical issues. It has been dragging on far too long over something that should be simple. If this is how they act now, I can't even imagine what will happen when I try to access the rest. It feels like I have been robbed and lied to.
I have been with #Stovëx #Global for some time now, and things have been consistent. Requests are addressed without unnecessary delays.
Lost $500 in interest. No effort to rectify.
I deposited $10,000 in August of last year at the local office in Sioux Falls. I discussed current money market rates and decided that was a better option that a CD at that time. When I downloaded my 1099 this year, I noticed that the total interest was $3.36. I called then and asked why I had received no interest on my $10,000 for over a year. I was told that the local people said that I did not request a money market deposit and there was nothing they could do. That was an outright lie to cover their asses. I don’t know who ended up with my roughly $500 in interest, but I can tell you who didn't. DO NOT do business with these people. They are shady and not willing to admit an obvious mistake or even TRY to resolve the issue.
Restricted trades
They won't restrict trades on companies that constantly dilute, but let a ticker that gets a good run and I have to call and place a trade (ELPW, TCGL) with a broker. What's the point? How about making those stocks non-commission free if I'm going to do it electronically. It'll save a lot of time having to call and wait on a broker. By the time the call is answered the price of the security has already doubled in price. Seriously looking into finding another brokerage firm to at this point. I went through so many different companies running today on a restricted trade. This makes no sense whatsoever. A risk is taken on every trade.
Took $600 and will not return it.
Sat down over holidays with stepson to open a brokerage account to help him get started making passive income. Used the phone app to do that. Submitted drivers license and other ID as required.
Account was created. He logged in. I wrote him a check for $600 to use to buy his three young children a share of NVidia each.
He deposited the check into Schwab. The check cleared and was cashed out of my account.
Next morning he goes to login to the app to buy the stock. And he is locked out of the app.
A call to Schwab service and they tell him they need his drivers license, again, and a copy of a W2 faxed to them. Who has a land line for a fax anymore?
Next day he gets a phone message from Schwab saying he will need to visit an office to unlock the account.
He calls them back the next day and tells them he cannot afford to take a day off from work to drive 60 miles one way, through traffic, 120 miles round trip, to open an account.
Schwab says tough luck.
He asks them to write him a check for the $600 and close the account.
Schwab says tough luck.
Schwab then agrees to return the amount of the check to my checking account....at Schwab BTW.
It's been 7 business days and that $600 has not been returned.
It is my opinion that Schwab just stole $600 from my stepson.
I would advise you to avoid these people like the plague.
Sophisticated large yet scammy firm
This is very sophisticated large yet scammy firm that sometimes tricks you here, sometimes - there. They lured me into opening account promising that as an European I will trade US ETFs through them. Not really. They openly admit it once you board, that the sales misled me. Login/Authentication to the account works just sometimes. Maybe it will work today, maybe I get stuck in the authentication page when their software refuses to send me SMS/call with code, and in that case I have to call them. Avoid at all costs. Typical American business attitude.

Love Schwab’s ThinkOrSwim platform
Love Schwab’s ThinkOrSwim platform, but hate that they block so many trades without explanations for their rationale.
If I could leave no stars I would
If I could leave no stars I would. Had a savings and checking account and wrote my first check. With twice the amount I needed in my account, they bounced my check due to "signature irregularity." No email, no text, just a phone call that I didn't answer because spam! They left a scammer message telling me to call back, and when I googled the number, it came up as probably a scam.
Need I mention that I've had the same signature for over 30 years! I called after they bounced the check and they apologized and told me to have the company re-deposit the check, which they did. You'll never guess what happened! They bounced it again, with no scammy phone call or any other contact whatsoever. Closing both accounts as fast as I can and letting people know to avoid this bank at all costs!
Too easy to establish Schwab accounts
Schwab does NOT have enough security in place to open a new brokerage account. They allowed a new account to be established with my husband's stolen ID information and then they followed up with a debit to his personal checking account and transferred money to the fraudulent Schwab account. When we called on Monday to report the fraud, we were told the money would be transferred back to his checking account and someone from the Fraud Department would call the next day. After no one from the fraud department called on Tuesday, we called Schwab on Tuesday to report a second fraudulent account. This person said my husband's bank had to request the money Schwab removed from his checking account be transferred back to his checking account. After five days, no one from Schwab's Fraud Department has called my husband. I cannot believe Schwab makes it this easy to establish a fraudulent investment account. They need more safeguards in place!
Advance to PAY MINE, They are #more #reliable
Not worth it , After 5 years of investment , All i can say is i'm totally disappointed . Please avoid if you can ,
Horrible
Horrible, horrible, horrible. I hate that my employer changed over to this company. They are useless and show that they do not care about customer service or concern. This is the worst company I've ever dealt with in my life as far as my employee 401k.
Schwab Has Some Serious Problems (Updated)
Schwab makes it hard to find the number on the account. They only show the last few digits and the "Mo" barely visible at the right is not what one would suspect where the number is. A low IQ person designed this. Then if you type "fund account" anybody but the address to send a check comes up, which is not common sense. Moreover, they misspelled my name on my brokerage account and it was an obvious mistake that anybody with an average IQ would have caught and it still (!!!!), after many weeks, has not been corrected which is complete idiocy. To make matters worse, they just stent me a form to fix it. Really? That 3rd world bureaucracy because one of their low incompetent workers was too dumb to put in basic information that a 10 year old could put in? Another problem is they blocked my account because the system did not recognize my address, which is asinine. This they fixed after a bit of time and a phone call. Then when I sent them a check to fund a Global account that I had opened ,they deposited the check in the regular account instead of the Global account. You would think they would have learned to not do this again, right? Nope. They did it again on the 6th of February. Fortunately I can transfer between accounts, but I have to wait until Monday for the money to transfer. The technology clearly exists for this to be done faster. But it is scary that such cretins are working in a bank. Each generation is getting more and more incompetent. I called and let them know and there was a part of the account that still had my name misspelled on a more obscure part of the account still after I told them about the problem. Moreover, they charge ridiculously high prices (19 Euros to trade one share, staggering GREED!), for foreign stocks on their "Global" account compared to their competitor (who charges a few dollars) who has serious problems, too. And their Global account is not well designed in the layout of functions is awful. The currency layout in the global account is not rational if you buy different currencies. The only good thing about Schwab is they do not require 2 factor authentication (which is not 100% foolproof) requiring an advanced cell phone to open an account, which their competitor foolishly requires. And the worst thing of all is that their Global account is very hard to use. A complete low IQ person designed it. They have multiple quote boxes on the screen. When you put in the name of an equity in the search box at the bottom, it is not even for the Global account just loaded, but for the main account. This means you get an error message from the main account, which is asinine. The actual functioning search box is several tabs away which is ridiculous. The stock symbol box is supposed to auto-populate with the name of the equity being spelled out in the box which it does not do. They literally did not have enough intelligence to copy their competitors' basic features. You have to literally know the stock symbol beforehand instead of the name of the company, which is asinine and illogical. All this is because their competitor, ########### ######S is an elitist brokerage and requires an expensive Iphone style phone and 2 factor authentication which excludes huge swathes of the population and demands your name and telephone number if you criticize them. I forgot to mention the appalling customer service of their competitor as their customer support phone reps have poor social skills most of the time while Schwab's customer service is ok, though they vacillate between sounding bored and unenthused to enthusiastic, depending on the rep.
The layout is awful on Schwab. If they had a brain they would pay people to fix the layout, and not hire people, just pay somebody with the answers. Another problem they do not have access to all major EU markets, which is ridiculous. What a massive disappointment. And why do customers after talking to a CS rep have to put their last four of their social security and their zip code AGAIN after they have been transferred internally at Schwab? That's asinine, wasteful and redundant in an internal transfer. My experience is really dreadful with Schwab, but they are the best option so far and at least their customer service reps are nice consistently, which was not the experience (in years past) with their competitor ##########E ######S. (Only one was somewhat questionable in interaction quality.)Schwab's competitor had a dysfunctional currency trading function and they did not even warn us and when we called they did not offer to compensate for the loss caused by their callous pathological negligence and if you criticize this competitor they will ask you for your name and telephone number. At least Schwab does not do unethical things. Schwab has other problems.
i i could leave no stars it would-be…
i i could leave no stars it would-be better they over complicate things to get access to my account they have my social security and like how much more verification do you guys need probably the first and definitely the last to use them for any type of transactions or anything they are truly terrible like you guy’s cant verify my information online i have to drive a hour away to verify my account with a photo ID at a schwab location. yeah thats dumb of them to they expected me to know what my position on my account was like i remembered? i created this account years ago terrible services do not recommend unless you want a million problems just to get access to your account.
