Run it's a scam!!

Same story as everyone offered a sum told a lie that there was an engine problem and wanted to offer £50 which was an insult because even the tyres cost more than that. Told them that I wanted to collect it and made several attempts but they failed to cooperate. Police matter

Great service

I recently used this company to scrap my car, and despite seeing a mix of reviews online, my experience was genuinely excellent from start to finish. The whole process was incredibly straightforward — everything was clearly explained, the collection was arranged without any hassle, and the communication was great throughout.

What really stood out was how easy they made the entire process. There were no hidden steps or unexpected issues. The payment was made exactly when they said it would be, and I received the full amount agreed upon with no delays or deductions.

Overall, I’m really pleased I went ahead with them. Fast, simple, and trustworthy. Would definitely recommend based on my experience!

A Masterclass in Deception—Avoid Nationwide Scrap Limited at All Costs

If you’re reading this, run. Don’t walk—run in the opposite direction of Nationwide Scrap Limited (also masquerading as ScrapComparison.com, depending on which mask they’re wearing that day). This company is a con, plain and simple.

They offered me £300 for my car. Sounded fair. But once they had it in their possession? Suddenly it was only worth £50. Why? Because of some mysterious “air combustion issue” they claim to find in every car they touch. It’s a script. A lie. And they’ve been using it on dozens of people—just check the reviews.

They’ll tell you your car’s in Southampton if you want it back (spoiler: it’s not), and the same woman will answer the phone under different names, pretending she’s never spoken to you before. It’s like a bad improv show, except they’re stealing your vehicle while they do it.

This isn’t just bad business—it’s deliberate, rehearsed fraud. They impersonate legitimate companies like ScrapComparison.com, hijack trust, and then vanish with your car and your money.

I’ve been conned. And if you’re not careful, you will be too.

Rubbish, scam merchants

Company that signed documents not listed and now bank details show this Company. Absolute scam merchants. Offered £300, then suddenly £50 due to engine problems. If wanted car back I'd have to have travelled to Southampton to collect.

My car (registration SP61 YPH) was…

My car (registration SP61 YPH) was collected from North London yesterday by Nationwide Scrap, their driver jump started it and drove it on their truck. They offered me £300 for it. This morning, I received a call from them claiming my car had an engine issue, which I never reported and they are offering me £50 which is a joke. My car only had a gearbox problem. I’m collecting my car from these scammers and not giving them the satisfaction of scamming another person no matter the costs.

The woman I spoke to was extremely suspicious and unprofessional. She's rude on the phone and very racist. She even gave me a collection address in the middle of a forest in Southampton (KANES HILL, SO19 6DX) and told me to “come alone”, which is absolutely alarming and feels unsafe.
Let us all come together and expose these scammers on TikTok and other platforms to put an end to this scam.

This company is highly suspicious and I believe they are running a scam. I’m reporting the incident to the police for my safety.

⚠️ Avoid using this company at all costs — they are not to be trusted!

SCAM COMPANY!!!

SCAM COMPANY!!! Avoid at all costs. Was given a quote of £300 to take my car as scrap. Promised the money by 5pm the next day which didn't happen. A few days later had a call saying the car had a compression issue and the new price was £50. They couldn't provide proof of this. The car was taken to Southampton apparently but couldn't provide me with a location to collect the car as I rejected the quote of £50. I have reported my car as stolen and the company has been reported to Action Fraud

Please avoid at all costs.

Please avoid at all costs.
As per all other negative reviews, offered £250 on telephone and £50 paid into bank with no explanation. We have not ‘accepted’ the ‘offer’ as it was never communicated to us. Check name on government companies site when using any scrap firm and ensure it is not owned by this person.

Steer clear!!

Collected my car Friday based on telephone price offer. Rang Monday with a revised offer of just £50 saying the engine had low compression. Told them would call back after advice taken, but now uncontactable.
They had the car re-MOT’d Saturday and it passed!
Not accepting the offer but unable to contact them to find out their location.

Reporting to the police, Action Fraud, DVLA, Trading Standards and Companies House if I don’t hear by ten this morning.

Allegedly, George Hunt has several entries on Companies House, Nationwide Scrap Ltd, Everyday Car Auctions, Hunt Motor Services. All same office address and date of birth. Deep diving further may provide other companies.

Update. They offered and paid £200, which I don’t accept, but impossible to reject and arrange my cars return when they don’t answer the phone. They were supposed to email me the ‘offer’, obviously didn’t follow through on the promise. The car is still legally mine as I haven’t accepted their terms.
