Don McAllister's ScreenCastsOnline is a reliable, no fluff, deep dive into Mac applications and hardware. I just looked up my profile history on the site, and I have been a member since Oct 2008. That is testament in itself.

I have been very happy with my subscription to ScreenCastsOnline and have learned a lot about my Mac computers and iOS devices!

Very useful content to discover new apps and learn how to use them or get a refresher on previously owned apps.
The videos are very instructive.
I highly recommend to anyone who does not want to read the bulky user manuals that come with almost every app.
Keep up the good work!

I have been a member for quite a few years now. Not all of their topics I am interested in, but for several, that I was previously not interested in, I am now interested because of their presentation. Highly recommend it.

Hi. Great variety of subjects. Always happy to find an e-mail from Don in my mailbox. Of course some (many) 😉 shows are above my head but it’s good to see what is available out there. I am more and more focusing on iOS and iPadOS shows. Congratulations to your team. Really. I’m proud to be part of this community for years now. All the best.

It is a pleasure and fun to see the new screencasts every week and they are already awaited with anticipation.
Thanks also to the great presenters.

Consistently excellent content!
I have benefitted from Don McAllister's ScreenCastsOnline's superb tutorials for many years. His is a service I happily renew annually. Not only do I learn how to use applications I already have, but also learn of new ones I didn't know about. If you are a Mac-user, I believe a subscription to SCO is a must and well worth the reasonable cost.

There is always a topic to wet your appetite. I have learnt more about Apple and its apps from 15 years of SCO than anywhere else.

I 'm one of those who cling as long as possible to an old and perfectly working system and set-up. That's why I gave 3 stars only: I don't benefit much from new posts, for , hah, some yrs now already. Yet I give 3 stars because I 've benefited a lot in the past, and every now and then I look up old screencasts, to learn again about some program, which I like very much.
That's why I keep endorsing; I'd say: keep up the good work!

SCO is the best way of learning how to use your Mac, and is also a great source for discovering new software. All the lessons are clear and comprehensive. Truly great stuff!

For years SCO has been my go to place to get introduced to new software, learn more about the software I have. I love it when they go in to depth on updates to software that’s been around for a while.
Don and crew explain things in a way that the average computer user can use.
I highly recommend SCO.
PS: I love

I have been a member of Screencastsonline for over ten years now. Starting as someone who knew nothing about Macs. In the early days I found the tutorials invaluable when making the jump from Windows to Mac. The fact that all the historic tutorials are accessible to members is a real boon, it’s great to be able to refer to past items.
The tutorials are really well done, the level is exactly right. Very good at explaining even quite difficult concepts so that they are easy to understand.
I particularly like the new version updates. Whenever a new version of the Mac or iOS comes out, Don and other contributors look painstakingly through and often do several tutorials on things that are new, or have changed since the last update. This saves a lot of time and frustration.
Also great are the in depth items on various apps. This can really make the difference on purchase decisions when you can see if the item meets your requirements, and is easy to use.
In summary Screencastsonline is highly recommended.

Very useful source for reference and information, especially on updates and new features in the operating systems and key applications.
It appears that the ScreenCastsOnline magazine app has been removed from the US App Store. How do I restore it to my iPad?
I am about to migrate to a new MBP and I suspect many others will be upgrading to Apple Silicon Macs in the near future. A tutorial or reference on apps that have to uninstalled or deactivated on the old platform such as MS Office and the Adobe CS apps would be very useful. Thank you.

I have nothing but the highest respect for those at ScreenCastsOnline. Though there are other places in which to get to grips with some other software apps, few do it better than they do here. ;)
