Took over a week and a half for my phone to be returned to me

I sent off my phone to have the screen repaired on Monday 5th and it arrived with Screen Fixers the next day (Tuesday 6th). I was happy with the updating system they have in place but was not expecting to have to wait so long to have my phone returned to me. The website makes it seem as though they will have your device repaired on the day and sent out again to be returned to you, this is not what happened. I received an email on Tuesday 6th after the first update email to say that my phone’s power button was in need of repair and they were asking if I’d like for this to also be fixed at a further set price. I replied to this email straight away explaining that I didn’t wish to have any further repairs. I waited their approximate repair time of 3-5 working days and still received no update that my phone had been repaired and was on its way back to me. I emailed their customer services to ask what was happening and was told that they had not yet started my repair as they were waiting on my reply to the email to see if I wanted to pay extra for them to fix my power button. I explained that I had actually replied 6 days before that this wasn’t necessary and I would just like for them to continue with the screen repair. The customer service assistant I spoke to was apologetic and explained that they would have my phone fixed and posted that day (Tuesday 13th). Of course this was not what had happened and after trying to contact the company via email and phone (I called on four separate occasions and coincidentally never seemed to get through to anyone) another customer service assistant contacted me to say that they didn’t have my full address and would need this in order to post it back to me, fair enough, but I was also sent a mail order pack previously and they had managed to post that to my address with no issues?

In the end they finally posted my device 9 days after I had originally sent it off and it arrived today (Thursday 15th). I’m very happy with the repair work but I just feel a bit let down by their customer service as it seemed that they were trying to find excuses for reasons as to why it was taking so long for the repair to take place.

(Reply to Screen Fixers)
I understand that you noticed another fault with my phone and I appreciate that you pointed that out to me, but, I replied to that email to say I didn’t want for this to be repaired. I replied approximately two hours after I received that email and it was apparently ‘lost’ and the customer service assistant I spoke to said that they had somehow not received my reply. This meant I was waiting for my phone to actually be repaired a week after I’d sent it off to you, that’s not good enough I’m afraid. And you mention something about needing my passcode? I actually wrote my passcode on the piece of paper enclosed with the mail order pack and after doing so I actually decided to just disable the passcode anyway so I’m unsure where you’ve gotten this information from.

For affordability I will give you 5/5 but even more so now I stick by my 3/5 for customer service as you seem to not want to take responsibility for what happened with my order? I don’t feel as though I’ve been unfair with my words as even though one of the customer service assistants I spoke with claimed to have not seen the email I had written almost a week before which prohibited me from receiving my phone back in good time. I also had to cancel a trip away in order to be home to receive my phone which I think is unacceptable, especially as I was told I should receive the device before that time.

Reply from Screen Fixers

Hello Samantha, we feel this is a little unfair. Your device had a faulty button which we had to advise you of before returning the device. We also required the passcode for final testing which was delayed as your reply was sent separately from our email request so couldn't be connected. Also your return address did not have a street name so we had to check before despatching in case it could not be delivered. These were not excuses just our shipping and customer service team trying to ensure your device was returned safely.

Kind regards,

Screen Fixers

Great service

Excellent service.

The service was very quick, with lots of information from them on how the phone was moving through the various stages from receipt, repair, testing and return.

The service was also very cost effective.

Great service

Great service. Went for the option where they send you a package to send the phone in, which I'd recommend. Clear instructions. Very fast turn around and the price was excellent. Will use again when one of my kids undoubtedly drops and breaks their phone again.

Poor replacement screen and slow turnaround.

Sent in an iPhone 7 to have the screen replaced. Despite their claim to repair on the same day the phone is received, it took a few days for it to be replaced and “quality tested”. Overall turnaround was a week. Once I began using the phone, I could tell the replacement screen was of a much inferior quality than I expected. Force touch was temperamental at best and the phone would think different parts of the screen were being pressed when simply scrolling down or across pages. It is very frustrating using it in this state. Despite the good reviews that they seem to have, I am overall unhappy with the service, predominantly due to the poor quality of the screen.

Does what it says on the tin

Does what it says on the tin. Quick turn around. Screen not as good as the original (was checked against my same iPhone). However, this was a replacement screen for my daughter and the price point was perfect. My daughter’s screen is constantly getting broken. I WILL use them again. Cheap and cheerful but components not top notch. But then, how could they be at such a low price. Hope this review is helpful.

Very impressed

From the outset they explained: the shipping and return process, and the potential minimum and maximum costs. At every step they engaged us using plain and easy to understand language when acknowledging: the order, receipt of a broken phone, repair, testing and dispatch.

Top-notch service at a reasonable price.
