I use screenpal due to 2023. The system is extremely simple to use. It does exactly what I need. The free version offers recordings of up to 15 minutes, which is more than enough in my case. The only annoyance is the developer page that opens every time I render a video.

Terrible experience. I downloaded the free version to try it out and it turned out that to capture computer audio, you need to upgrade to the paid version - even without the option to verify that this will work. I paid for a 1 month's subscription and then tried to do a recording with computer audio - it asked me to install something to work on Apple Silicon(Macbook M3). Then after a lot of fiddling and managing to set the computer audio, when I started a capture and played sound, the capture froze saying "The Microphone stopped working" and it did not capture anything. Avoid at all means on Apple devices and in general.

Screenpal works flawlessly and the subscription price is affordable. The team is constantly adding functionality WITHOUT raising the price. The new AI closed captioning is almost perfect, misspelled only my name (which admittedly has multiple spellings).

I like the last feature with AI to generate captions.

It's ok for recording but once i start to save and download the video file to my computer it slows my computer right down?! So if i start downloading a file in the background i can't use my computer without it buffering or sticking?!! So i only download any videos from it if i am not using my computer at the same time to do work or browse the internet! Still looking for an alternative to use instead of this?! I had it when it was Screencast o matic and it was fine but now this software has gone downhill for whatever they have done to it?! So now i wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

So easy to acquire and so easy to use. I was up and running within minutes.

I have been using ScreenPal for a very long time now. I primarily use it to create videos for training for my clients. Downloading the files as well as having cloud-posted links makes it very easy to share and store for the long term. The tool itself is very easy to use and has all the key functions you need for editing (get rid of the coughs, long pauses, mistakes, restarts) without the expense of a production-house tool like Camtasia. Highly recommend.

I love this tool because it assists me with the process of taking notes at my own pace when I review the recorded session of my lessons.

Awesome experience on all of my different devices. I used this product as Screencast-O-Matic years ago and I just came back after they rebranded to ScreenPal. It is better than I remember with even more features. Seems like they are always publishing more helpful features.

As a teacher, I am not able to give individual feedback IRL to every student, however, Screenpal allows me to give my students oral feedback, while they can follow along on the corrected paper.
Screenpal is easy to use and my students can watch the film many times over.

I've used this software on and off for years, since it used to be called Screencast-o-Matic.

I came back to it recently for a couple of projects I was developing, and I love how easy this software is to use, especially as creating videos is far from my favourite activity.

It's well-designed, and when I do need additional help, there are short tutorial videos for everything I've needed to know.

I've also had to resort to contacting their support desk once or twice and their responses have been timely, helpful and friendly.

All in all, it does everything I need, it's reasonably priced, and it's easy to use. I couldn't ask for any more.

Screenpal is my go-to whenever I need to record a video for a course or training! It allows me to do everything on one platform: screen recording and comprehensive editing! This has been a staple in my business for a few years, and the price is super affordable! I've only had to reach out to Customer Service once, and they exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend it!!

Screenpal is the greatest co-teacher I have ever had. Videos replace me in the classroom as well as at their homes. Students are able to learn individually as well as in groups. Parents, are happy to receive the videos in case they are not able to help their scholars. I use the videos to reteach , as well as play them while I'm taking attendance. I learned about Screenpal while I was going to school for my Masters in Instructional Technology from Wayne State University. I am in love with what I have been able to do since using it. The software routinely freezes. When this happens I have to shut down my computer.

I've used ScreenPal/Screencast-O-Matic for more than 9 years, but I'm looking for an alternative.

I used ScreenPal for a presentation project, and it made the whole process super easy. Editing my video was a breeze, even though I’m not very experienced with video editing. Trimming clips, adding captions, and polishing the overall video was really simple and didn’t take much time at all. My favorite part was the virtual backgrounds. Being able to swap out my messy background for something more professional really helped. It was super easy to use, and the options were great without being overwhelming. If you’re looking for a screen recorder, or video editor that’s easy to work with and gets the job done, I’d definitely recommend ScreenPal.

I've been using ScreenPal almost daily at work for several years now, and have been very happy with the product. Easy to use, intuitive interface, and works great on my laptop and phone. I record and edit product demos and product marketing videos, and the video editing tools are very easy to use, and make editing quick. I love the new AI features they've introduced for adding captions, they're accurate and super easy to edit when I need to. Saves me a lot of time!
