In response to the response from scuba…

In response to the response from scuba crap. You are as stated in your name full of crap!! My computer works just fine, it just needed to be charged. So much for your thorough evaluation process. As for the comments about my stuff being out dated, you guys are lying again. Most of my stuff is actively still being sold on many reputable websites at not so cheap prices. I’ll bet if I sold it to you, it would suddenly become not outdated and you would charge a large price by saying it is “like new”. That’s just a guess but I think it may be accurate. As for the statement that you are a site mostly for trade that’s fine but you DO in fact buy gear. It is advertised right on your site! Im sorry if you can’t understand the wording on your own website! Perhaps you need to review what the word SELL means. After all, it is a word used on your site. Interestingly enough, in addition to the word sell, it DOES say you will buy it. Besides, the trade in value was still insultingly low at 156.00! Your response also mentioned a signed contract. What contract are you referring to? There was none other than the inventory sheet I filled out, If my stuff was so unserviceable, then why did you rate it as excellent? Once again, your response is full of lies not to mention condescending which I understand considering your crappy customer service. BTW, why didn’t you mention that in your response back to me?? I’m just curious. The bottom line is that you guys attempt to rip people off by getting their stuff for next to nothing, then reselling it at a massive profit. This of course is your prerogative, but don’t mislead people by saying you provide a “fair and realistic price”, because it is anything but that. 25.00 for a next to new suunto ion core with pod and 1 dive on it is far from fair or realistic by any honest persons standards. The only thing fair about your site is that it’s fair to say people will get screwed if they do business with you. To give credit though, you DID send my stuff back to me at your expense so I appreciate that.

Watch Out!!!!!!

I looked online for a means to sell some scuba/snorkeling gear. The gear originally cost me at least $250 new. It may have been used a dozen times at the most, so the gear was in very good to excellent condition. I sent it all to ScubaCrap. When they emailed me the value it was for $12. The shipping alone cost almost $17 which I paid. Furthermore, they rated the equipment as POOR. The only "defect" in the equipment was that the snorkels and mask had a little yellow discoloration which is normal over time but there was no other defect in appearance or usage. There was a pair of high-end fins which cost over $100, they were valuing them at $1. Absolutely, ridiculous. Swim far away from these guys before they try and drown you in their ridiculous valuations.

As explained on our website, so you can have all the information prior to sending the equipment to us, we honestly evaluate the equipment and if we cannot come to an agreement on the value we ship it back to you at our expense. We are sorry that our evaluation was not to Mr. Derrico's satisfaction but we returned the items to him at a net loss to us. The equipment that he sent was very old and in a condition that would not allow us to resell it.
