Positive experience with Seajets

We just came back from our holiday in Greece and took the Seajets 3 times. I was a bit scared because of the bad reviews I saw here, but we had a very good experience with the company. The staf was friendly, the service very efficient… we had one delay (of 30min) and received a text with notification of the delay.

Highly recommend!

Complete and utter shock for the lack of respect

Do you know what the worse thing is about Sea Jets? It’s not the delays, it’s not the rude staff, it’s not the apauling price of such a ticket, but the lack of respect th company gives to its guests. No information given, no anoucments, no one to even ask why the ferry is sitting empty for 2 hours and no information.

This is my first time using them and my last. I know now why I have been warned by a lot of hotels to fly to Athens then Mykonos as it is cheaper and faster.

Seajets you should be absolutely disgusted in yourself, just as all your guests are.

No cancellation email

Tried to check in online the day before trip, unable to. Seajets phone line supremely unhelpful - said to call back in the afternoon as she had no information but could see the booking. Asked if I had a cancellation email - I did not. Why would you ask this? Just tell me the ferry is cancelled there and then. I went to the port office and was told the journey was cancelled. I never received a cancellation email but had been receiving emails for a previous journey with the same company so I knew the email was ok. Not the service you expect for a supremely expensive ticket - the same journey booked on a different ferry line at last minute was only €16 for two people. Disgraceful.

Nice ferry, terrible staff

Well we got there without any major drama, but boarding was chaotic as was disembarking. Fair enough, that is normal for all Greek ferries, but a little more care would be nice. However the real problem was the staff. Rude, surly, unhelpful and petty would sum it up for me. Our ferry (Championjet 1) was only a quarter full, but where you could sit was rigidly enforced. I made the mistake of entering the virtually empty "business class" area, which I hadn't realised as the sign denoting that area was very small, and got shouted at by a steward for my trouble. All completely unecessary. It's odd, as everywhere else we have been in Greece and the islands, people are friendly - but not on this ferry. Oddly, our experience a few days earlier on the Sporades Star was a lot better - and it's the same company.

Shocking trip from Paros to Mykonos

Shocking trip from Paros to Mykonos. The previous days late afternoon trip was cancelled due to the
weather but only 30 mins after departure time. The following morning it ran in a rough sea and after 4 huge bumps the front went below the water and one of the massive perspex panels came into the cabin. The rush of water soaked the first few rows, people rushed to the back and put on lifejackets. The water was two foot deep at the back. It was chaos. The boat turned around, they did a fix on the panel, water was swept out but the passengers were traumatised and many were sick. The staff tried hard but it was frightening. We went back to Paros…unbelievably took on more passengers and the same boat went to Naxos where we got off as they had a big ship in 45 mins to go to Mykonos. The treatment of passengers on the quay at Naxos was shocking. The Quay staff behaved appallingly. The big ship was great and we arrived safely but the way this horrid experience was handled was shocking. I dont think we were in danger of capsizing but there was a lot of water, a couple of people had injuries from debris, kids were crying, there was sick everywhere. No apology from the company, its a disgrace.

Seriously?!

Seriously? Almost 100 Euro for a ferry ticket for a 1.5h ride. But the worst was the missing air seats and I probably asked 10times foe them. They send me to a little patch were everyone was smoking. So disgusting, thas not what call fresh air. Worst boat. Blue star ferries is so much better. I loved these ferries.

Awful

Awful, avoid at all costs if you can book with someone else. Paid for a high-speed ferry from Mykonos to Santorini, and was bait-and-switched without notice to a low speed ferry that takes five times as long, taking up more than half of the day additionally from our vacation. They blamed it on the weather, which would be understandable, but to pay premium for a high-speed ferry and in return to get an old rundown ship that moves at a snail’s pace appears like robbery, I don’t know how it’s even legal. Additionally, no communication of this change: they didn’t even send an email notifying of a different arrival time. This means we miss public bus upon arrival and have to pay exorbitant price for a taxi. Imagine if you have a flight scheduled afterwards - you’re screwed. Stay away. And if you call customer service, good luck with your patience - they’re very rude and try to come up with excuses without a single apology.

Everyone in Greece treated us well, except Seajets

Everyone in Greece treated us well. Airlines, airports, hoteliers, shopkeepers, restaurants, everyone really. Everyone EXCEPT… Seajets. As a universal rule, every Seajets employee and agent was nasty, rude, inattentive, and incompetent. The way they board their boats is chaotic and unsafe, with vehicle and human traffic unguided and intermixed, complete with hectoring from crew members to push onboard. The way they treat customers experiencing weather issues, so that when I tried to reroute, they treated me like I was the problem. The way they don’t publish up-to-date information on schedule delays and don’t send email updates when they change schedules. I only have one complaint about Greece and it is Seajets. Whatever you do, find another way to hop islands… even if it appears to add hours or fly through Athens… you’ll be out the time anyways if you hazard dealing with these foul, inept buffons.

Cancellation of booking 8 days before the trip

Either our way to Milos (19.10.) and back to Piräus (28.10.) has been canceled one week before travelling. As we travel with own car and already have a fixed booking for a house in Milos that cause a lol of trouble, we need to go 2 days earlier and have to stay 2d longer to not loose our booked activities on Milos. Seajet was not offering alternativ Trips the Same day. Will never book again with this company.

Please AVOID THIS RACIST COMPANY!!!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!
RACIST RACIST RACIST!!!
This woman was so rude to us. I told her it was my birthday, and she told us to take another ferry. Perhaps it was racially motivated, she refused to sell us tickets or help us find another ferry ,She even threatened to call the police because I took these photos (and told her I would write a review. )
Honestly the experience completely ruined my birthday and my entire trip to Greece. I don’t want anyone else experiencing the same thing while on vacation.

Trapped in Milos island since Sea Jet did not perform the journey

During the trip from Piraeus to Folegandros we were informed that the final destination will be the port of Milos due to bad weather conditions. All passengers were forced to spend the night on Milos island (in rooms to let, not in the boat) without the slightest info from the company regarding the progress of our journey. The local travel agency collaborated with Sea Jets was a fully disaster. The representative of Riva Tours agency directed us to swim to our destination! Next morning, we were informed by port authority of Milos that the weather prohibition has been lifted but still the company did not contact us in order to be informed. I tried to contact customer service phone and while speaking with them explaining the situation the did not hesitate to hang up since they could not answer my questions.
We are 36 people bound for Folegandros and Santorini island stranded in Milos and sea jet company has not showed any interest. They have not send us an sms to let us know the situation! They are forcing us to stay on the island despite the fact that the ban has been lifted! The company is not supposed to cover our expenses. Hence we are supposed to pay ourselves for a room and food.
It is hilarious

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Unorganized and chaotic. Staff had no clue of what was happening. They cancelled our trip and asked us to pay again if we want to travel in the later one and did not refund us our cancelled ticket. They made us pay two times for the same trip

Utter disgrace

Utter disgrace. The ferry to naxos didn’t arrive and was over 1hr late. Then get text to say cancelled. No one to help at the terminal and just told to find alternative somewhere on Naxos beach front. Grabbed the money and have zero concern about travellers.

Now had to find a hotel for the night with no idea how we will get back from Naxos to Mykonos.

Absolute disgrace and 1 ⭐️ is generous 😡

And you thought Ryanair didn't care? Try Seajets!

We used Seajets to cross from Santorini to Ios and back. Relatively on time I must say, but treated like prisoners along with hundreds others. They run late and scream at you when boarding to hurry up, like cattle indeed. Half hour journey, half of which trying to join our seats, scream at you again when checking your tickets, and then huge lines at toilets, bar, etc. When I tried to share my opinion they made it obvious they couldn't care less. That's the beauty of being the leader on a market!

Do not waste your money on the fast ferries

Please , if you plan to take the ferry, do not waste your money on seajets fast ferries. Due to delays in departure times, the regular bigger ferries like the Blue Star ferries get you to your destination faster .

We also paid for the fast sea jets through ferry hopper.com from Naxos to Santorini and guess what, we waited for the ferry for 1.5 hours only to find out that we will be boarding the regular sea jet ferry . So there, we just wasted our money . To think that the price of these fast jets are almost 2x as much as the regular ones

We have spoken to the apartment owners who provided us port transfers and they verified that this company is notorious for being delayed all the time.

We also had a day trip to Mykonos on 9/10 and again, our trip back to Naxos from Mykonos was 1.5 hours delayed. We could have spent more time in Mykonos if we were informed beforehand of the real departure time.

If I could I would give 0

If I could I would give 0, I would!
The staff told us the wrong Port in their office in Santorini which is located in the port which lead to us missing our ferry to Milos.
Costumer service was rude, did not wanted to refund our ferry or give further help! Even tho they told us wrong!!!
We had to pay extra for a new ferry, pay for another hotel night stay plus the hotel stay which we already had booked in Milos.

Sea Jet nightmare

Joined the large queue waiting to board the ship, no signs to advise you if you were boarding the correct ship. As soon as they signalled to board it was a cavalry charge to get on board, once you had left your luggage in the rack it was then a fight to get through a single door. The ship started moving as we were still trying to get through the door, no safety announcement until about 10 minutes at sea. Safety equipment was falling out of the base of several seats. We had booked Platinum seats, my seat was broken, I was told to pick another seat and left to fend off anybody who had booked that seat. Same when disembarking, everyone for themselves and another cavalry charge to get off. The staff at Santorini office were rude and have no customer care.

Worst boat ride of my life!

Worst boat ride of my life!

95% of passengers puked multiple times because it was bad weather and they were rushing and speeding to get everyone to their destinations.

It was like being on a roller coaster ride for 4 hours straight. 5 out of 6 people with me puked.

Water came in through the vents from above and bags were thrown all over the boat.

Never ever again! (zero stars if possible)

Last night we booked the Seajet 2 speed ferry from Paros to Milos. At first we were happy that the ferry left 1 hour ahead of schedule (without justification) there was a very strong wind all day. The ferry arrived in Paros with a 30-minute delay and we were rushed in. Every ferry guest was greeted with a puke bag and the whole boat stank of vomit. We were immediately sent to our seats and were not allowed to leave them because of the storm. After we drove off, the first passengers vomited after a short time (more than half of all passengers in total). The unfriendly employees were only busy handing out bags and wiping up the vomit. When asked if there was water for the passengers, the employee said that you could drink water in the toilet. It ended up being the most expensive ferry at €75 per person with sub-par staff, 0 comfort and questionable handling of severe weather.
