We've been loyal customers of Seat Concepts
We've been loyal customers of Seat Concepts for years and have always appreciated the comfort and fit of their products. However, our recent experience has been disappointing.
Last month, we purchased a new seat for our Husky FE450, and on the very first ride — while the bike was simply standing — it tipped over and the **seat pan cracked in two places and **cover had a hole in it caused by the pan craking. And before anyone asks: yes, the seat was mounted correctly.
We immediately contacted ADV Moto Store, and to their credit, they were incredibly helpful and responsive. They put another seat on hold for us while discussing the issue directly with Seat Concepts.
Unfortunately, after a few days, we were informed that Seat Concepts would not replace the seat, but would only be sending a new pan and cover. About a month later, the replacement parts finally arrived.
We carefully tried to remove the glued foam from the broken seat, doing our best not to damage it — but with little success. On top of that, we had to purchase a stapler and spray glue ourselves, adding another $150 in unexpected costs, just to reassemble the seat.
After all that effort, it's unlikely the seat will look or perform like a brand-new $800 seat again.
We're left wondering if manufacturing quality has declined, even though the price remains high. We've come to expect better from Seat Concepts — not just in product durability, but also in post-sale support.
