Ideal base for exploring this stunning part of the coast
I recently enjoyed a wonderful three-night stay in the charming Seaton End cottage with my friend and her dog, and it proved to be the ideal base for exploring this beautiful part of the coast.
The cottage is conveniently located just a few steps from the small but inviting local beach, the popular Cod & Lobster pub, and the surrounding picturesque winding streets of the traditional fishing village that is Staithes - full of character and seaside charm. The location truly couldn't be better, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the harbour and enjoy everything the area has to offer right on the doorstep.
The cottage accommodates up to three guests, with one spacious double bedroom and one single bedroom, making it ideal for small families, friends, or solo travellers seeking a relaxing coastal escape.
One of the highlights of our stay was exploring the area's stunning coastal walks. The breathtaking scenery and spectacular views created memories that we will cherish for years to come.
As a constructive suggestion, the cottage would benefit from a little TLC and some basic modernisation in places. Given its age and the number of visitors it welcomes, a few small updates and extra attention to detail would further enhance the guest experience. We also felt that providing a hand towel in each bedroom and more than one toilet roll for a three-night stay would have been appreciated.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a cosy retreat in an exceptional location, surrounded by the natural beauty and unique charm of this wonderful coastal village.
