Well I wanted to upgrade from 20 to 40…

Well I wanted to upgrade from 20 to 40 GPM but the website products didn't list it. But calling the phone number on the page allowed me to talk to a human and place the correct order. The previous Watermaker install took 3 days and works quite well, so wanted to upgrade to more capacitate.

The only experienced watermaker company

As usual great advice to tech questions and clear commercial info (client for 4 years now)
I could have rated 5 stars. But some « delay » in the emails. Nothing dramatic, but when you are in an emergency situation, you get stressed waiting for a critical advice. I still advise any boater i cross to shop with you for both the good products and great service you get.

Great product and service

This watermaker works great and is simple to understand and use. It's also easy to install and "by boat dollars" very reasonable on price. Previously had a Spectra which cost a lot more money, hardly ever worked, and cost thousands to try and fix. Removed it from the boat to get something reliable.
Seawater Pro is the answer for us. It works!!!
Customer service which is rarely needed is great as well.

Exceptional Customer Service is the key to success!

My hats off to the folks a Seawaterpro. They reached out to me after I had some concerns about the product and they were able to get me over the hump. No product is perfect but if it’s combined with exceptional customer service that’s what matters most.

The Seawater Pro water maker is definitely a good product and has value for the money! Space is a premium on all boats and the ability to locate the different components of the system in different locations was the only way I could get a water maker to fit on my boat.

Dear Mr Tim Taylor of City center yachts, I received 5 phone calls from your installer, every advice I give you you refused it. You redesigned my system and now you're upset because you couldn't get it to work. Every time I told you not to do it, you did it. So this review belongs to YOU. Rest assured you are the typical nightmare customer. It happens about once a year and I hope you are the first and the last for this year.
Empathy of humility is due when you follow instructions, if you start developing your own system and then you blame me for it on a public forum I somehow find myself fresh out of humility.
We've had more than five phone calls trying to explain how to install the boost pump but you refuse to listen to advice.

That's not customer experience, that's customer failing at his own experiments and venting at a public forum at the wrong guy.

Proof positive the pump is working is right here in this video. https://youtu.be/osRiJMDaIuI

1. I don't know what kind of engineer you are, I happen to be an aerospace engineer, I developed built and flew a Tip-jet helicopter. I know a thing or two about fluid and thermal dynamics. I also have 13 patents.
From one engineer to another, I'm having more problems with engineers than people who actually read the and follow simple instructions and pictures. I've spent countless hours researching pumps and developing these instructions, if you choose to ignore them at your expense you shouldn't blame me.

2. Your installer called me 5 times, he kept asking about sharing the cooling intake for your seekeeper gyro. He also told me that you are at least 6 ft away from the strainer. I told him repeatedly these are both bad ideas and it will not work. You could have saved a lot of money if you took my advice. Instead, you wasted your installers time conducting pump research and development. My boost pump, if you follow the instructions, will supply 70 ft of head pressure (30 psi), I have a video dedicated to installing the boost pump, did anybody bother to watch it?

3. I don't know how long my system will last because it's no longer my design, you have contributed your own engineering and fluid dynamics expertise to the system, so go ahead and source any parts you may need in the future. As an engineer you should enjoy research and development.

4. By sharing the cooling port of your seakeeper just voided the gyro warranty, did you know that?

5. You void the warranty of any watermaker by sharing intake ports, Spectra e.t.c...

6. I have over 5000 systems out there working fine with that exact pump and the same exact plastic fittings. Plastic fittings work better than hose clamps. My design works fine when you follow the instructions. I have been long enough in this business to know what works and what doesn't. You seem to have figured it all out in a couple of days and you couldn't wait to post a review.

7. I understand you are the owner of City center yachts, you are not just arrogant but also rude, you also lack basic professional courtesy considering you're in the business.

8. Of course it cost your fortune to have a professional install it, this is a do it yourself kit. The point is to do it yourself and save money.

9. As far as the plastic fittings, most new boats come with push to connect plastic fittings because they will never oxidize and they're not subject to galvanic corrosion. You should know that as an engineer.

10. If you're unhappy with your purchase please return it for a full refund, we are open weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

11. I built this business with blood sweat and tears, I accept professional criticism but I cannot stand professional arrogance.

Can’t be happier

Can’t be happier : product is great, shipment arrived on time, and well packaged, but above all, a “Platinium-grade” customer service by Mike.

The price was good

The price was good, the components arrived in good condition and appears to be good quality. However I had to reach out several times with questions and was hoping to speak with someone and that never happen, but I did receive a email with a YouTube video that didn't quite answer my question. I ended up calling my battery company who sold me my batteries 3 years ago and they got right back to me and cleared up my concerns. Either way this company sells a good quality product for a fair price and we are looking forward to getting out new unit installed.

Wally was very helpful. He answered all my questions and made the purchasing process a breeze. Even when I forgot to add a last minute item he ensured I got my item added to the order and shipped on time.
