I wrote a review a year ago stating my satisfaction with this company when I bought a sun lounger that was higher than normal so as to be suitable for a transfer from a wheelchair. The cost was around £265.
Initially I was pleased at the quality and ease of unpacking. However on use I found that as the lounger was built to cope with persons up to 30 stone the surface was extremely rigid. There was no 'give' in it at all.. I suffer from extreme arthritis in my knees and hips and as soon as I tried to lie on it the rigidness of the surface was so bad I could not remain on it. The pain was really bad. I tried to alter the slope of the backrest to see if that would help but found there was no facility to alter it which amazes me as even the cheapest lounger allows you to adjust the back rest. As it was already quite high to enable me to get off it I could not put a thick cushion on it as I would not then be able to lift my legs high enough and a thin one does not help me use it.
So I have a beautiful looking lounger which is totally useless to me at quite a cost too. Marie-louise Dalton
