Deceptive Company, SCAM

We started working with SegFunding in March of 2025. We were told by Derek that they were a small business brokerage and would find us funding for our new business. We were told that they would soft hit our credit to see what lenders were available, they said we needed to pay to open business credit for our business for $1,800. The only thing they did was open a Dunns and Bradstreet number which we could have done for $200! We found out after calling around that you can't just pay to open business credit, it needs to be earned without paying someone. Also when they sent the first lender we were shocked to learn neither mine or my wife's credit was soft pulled at all! After finally getting ahold of Derek after a couple weeks of calls and emails he said finally after he had our money that they are not a brokerage and that they are consultants! He tried sending a 2nd loan company that is in the middle of a class action lawsuit for unethical interest rates for small business'! We have tried reaching out to Segfunding multiple times with no luck. They are a deceptive company with deceptive practices to swindle you out of your money! We want our money back, i have filed fraud with our bank and if not returned, i will be reaching out to the correct financial government office to file a complaint and if that does not work then there is always the legal option as well. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND DO NOTHING FOR YOUR BUSINESS!

This company will ask for you to pay at…

This company will ask for you to pay at least $50 to get you with lenders after they want to pull your credit and collect information. Whenever you tell them your situation on certain things, they will tell you that they will not be able to do business any other way. I have contacted leaving messages and email to refund my money and they still do not respond. So, I will now report this company to the BBB and my bank.
