“Unfortunately, our annual contracts are not refundable"

Our Experiences are as follows: A SellerActive representative convinced us to Use a 3PL Deliverr and goto an annual contract. As we discovered and worked through problems with Deliverr and SellerActive for over a year. We tried hard to make it right but continued to lead to several issues of shipping failures 1% to 6%, tracking not being updated on occasion, and other issues. HUGE MISTAKE!

In March 2021, our yearly annual payment with SellerActive was OVER TWICE THE AMOUNT FROM THE YEAR PRIOR! ($700 to $1700). In August, we just couldn’t take it anymore with Deliverr and SellerActive and decided to cancel our service with both companies. Deliverr charged monthly as SellerActive was yearly. I asked for SellerActive to prorate the remainder and give us a refund and was informed that they do not refund annual payments. I could not believe it after all the problems we went through. Candidly, I thought SellerActive would be reasonable and fair but in our case, NOPE. It didn’t have to be this way but it seems keeping our $1000 or so dollars are more important than being reasonable and fair. Boy I was wrong and disgusted.

This was extremely upsetting for us and caused us to look at our other contracts with other providers and re-examine their policies. After asking SellerActive to reconsider, they replied saying, “Unfortunately, our annual contracts are not refundable".

Would I ever recommend SellerActive, HECK NO! There are way better choices and better service. If you are selling on Amazon, consider using Amazon Fulfillment Services for all of your 3PL needs. Shopify has several apps to make this work smoothly and, Walmart also has fulfillment services for your Walmart Orders. No need for a greedy third Party.

Horrible company

Horrible company. Claims they can do many things they cannot. Once you decide to go with them you find that their service is worthless does not handle ebay auctions. I could not use the system at all and still billed me 299.00. Told them it would not work the first day. They have no trial period for this reason. I can see i they billed for the few days.

Great Platform if it worked.

We signed up for SA back in March. We were looking for a platform that could pull orders in from multiple sales channels, and map them to the relevant fulfillment provider. The platform had some other key features that we were totally sold on (like a velocity re-pricer), so we were very eager to move forward with these guys. After talking to one of the sales reps, we were convinced and paid 1 year up front for the service (around $5k or so).

3 months later we cancelled the service, and Seller Active refunded us the complete up-front fee. The following outlines the pros and cons based on our individual experience:

Pros:
1 - Technical support team is very polite and prompt.
2 - The platform theoretically has a lot of cool features.
3 - They refunded us 100% without incident or issue after we cancelled

Cons:
1 - The platform is highly unstable. The re-pricer, on multiple occasions, re-priced our products to the ceiling, and we lost sales each time. By the end, it took us more time to monitor that the platform wasn't doing something crazy, than it would to do everything manually (defeating the purpose of the platform).

2 - Our account rep (Kimberly) didn't answer emails or phone calls for up to a week at a time. When she did bother to respond, it was generally with a long excuse as to why she had been M.I.A. Typical "dog ate my homework" type of stuff.

3 - The development team could not fix minor bugs. Example: Amazon BSR was not pulling into the SA platform. After 2 months, support basically got back to us saying they were not going to fix it.

4 - No documentation. That's right, not a single wiki sentence on how to use the system.

5 - No after hours support. If the system goes berserk on a Saturday (big sales day), forget about it. You will have to wait until Monday morning for assistance.

I don't intend to dissuade anyone from testing out the SA platform. This review is based solely from our individual experiences. Your experience may differ.

More than anything I am just really dissapointed that SA did not work for us. On the label they had everything that we wanted. Their failure I beleive came down to the execution.

The platform was clearly devised by individuals who really understand online retail. If management could get their house in order and hire a more competent staff, then this platform would be a dream. Unfortunately, this is not the case (in my humble opinion).

We are currently in the process of transitioning to SellerCloud. Aside from the implementation fee, their platform actually works out to around the same price as SA. However, the fee is monthly and they have WAY more integrations (more than any other platform I have seen).

I will state for the record that we are a pretty small online retailer (slightly under $50k/month in sales at the time we cancelled our account).
