I don't really understand the negative…

I don't really understand the negative reviews. Perhaps there were technical problems a couple years ago (I do remember some) or perhaps certain users experience things others don't.

My experience has been great. Since the beginning, I've loved the UI, the analytics, and the tools. They've done a lot of innovating and iterating since I first signed up and have found some of them to be fundamentally awesome (use them/appreciate them all the time), some pretty good (don't really use them that much) and few things are useless (but there are one or two things). I tried all the other products for the first couple months when I started selling on Amazon and this one has stuck with me, perhaps due most to personal UI experience. I just don't see myself moving elsewhere unless I hear about something that does what Sellics does and more. Even then, I still find great value in this subscription.

The Excellent:

- PPC Manager/Automation. Since it launched in November, it's taken huge amounts of time and frustration off my table and pushed the business towards more "hands-off" management where I can dedicate energy elsewhere in less monotonous, less math-based tasks. Don't think PPC should be managed by software with rules? I beg to differ. My margins have increased substantially for the shear fact that this has made me wake up to higher than necessary ad spend and set hard rules that the software adheres to without my need to dabble and skew the data. Want search terms? Go search them in the PPC manager page, filter by profitability. So many benefits of PPC automation/manager... turn campaigns off, tweak spend based on trends in ACOS/profitability (signs of Amazon ad algorithm changes potentially) investigate ad history, collect profitable search terms, turn on rules to put unprofitable search terms in negative keywords, etc etc. I see myself using it indefinitely.

- Profit page. So useful for tracking your P and L. Not that you'd use the metrics in any official way (download Amazon summaries for that), but it's my go-to for tracking results of price tests, sales trends, cost trends, etc etc. Then easily figure out what products sold how many in what period of time with what temporal trend? Possible with a couple clicks.

- Cockpit page. Nothing too amazing about this, but use it heavily for a snapshot of the past 30 days. Sales numbers, trends in profitability, reviews, ranking trends, per-unit sales. Those are the things I look at in a glance if I need to, or even if I don't need to.

The good:

- Review page: Good to get a quick idea of what review rating you got for what product and when, what was said, easy to click through and comment. I don't use it a whole lot except with bad reviews mostly. This page is useful, but I wonder if there could be more innovation.. help us write review comments with keywords. Not so much pre-scripted but intelligent responses. Make it more frictionless to do this. Or other interesting features..

- Inventory page. I use this a lot to track sales velocity, project inventory purchases, etc. But it's pretty basic. Maybe add "Recommended inventory purchases" or something like that so we don't have to do the math ourselves to determine how much to source. Maybe being a bit lazy, but it'd be nice to have a couple innovations here. Can you also tap into the IPI in seller central or other things and provide more value here? Can you make it so we can set up shipments? Some of this may not be feasible, but could be worth a shot.

- Performance: Use it occasionally to track conversion rate and sessions. Don't like the hard stick line graph. Smoother curves like the profit graphs would be nicer, but I think it's taken right from SC so maybe it needs to be like this.

The not so good:

- Spy hasn't really ever worked for me and I gave up pretty early. It'd be nice if it worked, but I'm somewhat indifferent.

- Rankings worked great a year ago but I'm not sure it really works anymore.. maybe too many algorithm changes by Amazon. That said, I don't really care that much so long as sales are good.

- Other misc tools: Product detector didn't really work to well last time I tried and I'm not sure whether to trust the data or not. But haven't spent a lot of time recently on it. I do check the buybox tool occasionally, which is pretty useful sometimes, but not amazing or anything.

- The app is better than the Seller App in that it's easy and simple, has profits, sales, and units sold at the fore front. You can easily go back daily, weekly, monthly. It's good for that, but not much more. I tend to use sellics in my chrome browser on my phone more than the app because it has more info and I'm willing to do a lot of pinching and zooming to get that info. Also the time is off in the app. It tends to end the sales day at like 7pm my time and everything shows in "yesterday". Contacted support but hasn't been rectified. Not a big deal, but just kind of annoying.

- No downloading of data. It's so hard to actually mine the data from Amazon without programming skills. I wish I could, but I can't. So I've spent lots of time in Excel trying to analyze different things based on Amazon csv downloads. You guys have tons of organized data. Let us download it so we can analyze things you can't implement at scale on this platform. Just a button to download the Profit history, organized in csv, would be great. The Ad history as well.

Overall, the items in the Excellent section and some in the Good section far outweigh some of the Not so Good things which are more "not used that much" or "meh" rather than crap. I'd say it's definitely worth the money, but could be a bit better in some ways. There was a lot of innovation up until recently, but maybe there will be more on the horizon. The software is wayyy better than anything Amazon offers, and better (for me) than other software subscriptions out there. It's made me a better business person and made my business better, through some hardish times.

Can't believe I wrote that much...

Sellics is by far my favorite Amazon…

Sellics is by far my favorite Amazon Seller software. It is the most complete, offers a wide variety of very useful tools that many other companies sell separately for high monthly rates. The staff is always responsive and I feel that they actually care about building high quality software, unlike a lot of the tools out there scrapped together by Amazon sellers who sensed an opportunity and built software tools to get rich quickly using hype marketing.

Worth every penny - 5/5 Stars

Sellics is an easy to use analytics tool for Amazon Seller's. I don't use every feature included in the price, so it's a little too expensive for me. But if you use every feature and tool included, it's worth every single penny. The only thing that would make Sellics better is if they started offering more options with flexible plans so I could choose which features that I want, and not make me pay for features that I don't use.

Great Service - highly recommend

I've been using Sellics for awhile now, and I'm very happy. They keep expanding to cover more areas relevant to operation and growth of an Amazon Private Label business. They work fast, timely customer service, fair price. I really couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.

Great Effective VA Service Automatically

After being recommended their services I have used Sellics for two years. Their program saves me using my time or employing a VA to monitor my physical products, progress, reviews etc. No problems in the two years. They are constantly expanding their services too. Worth it!

Sellics is a no-brainer.

Sellics is definitely my most-used Amazon tool (and the one with the most longevity in my workflow...many have come and gone since I signed up with Sellics at their inception). Unbelievably useful, not only for a quick sales snapshot (the mobile app is awesome), but for PPC optimization (the time savings makes the monthly subscription a moot point). The Reviews module is great for managing your review strategy. The Inventory Management module is awesome - love the sales velocity calculation (My only suggestion for Inventory would be the ability to manually input non-FBA inventory). Use the Spy module to keep an eye on your competition. Track your keywords. Monitor your revenue, sales, and conversion rate...what more can I say. So many tools in one place, at a price that pays for itself. Sellics is a no-brainer.

There are so many reasons to sign up…

There are so many reasons to use Sellics - easy to manage PPC - all keyworks and searchterms can be seen on one sheet across multiple campaigns and ad groups - where I can just sort by cost in descending order and block irrelevant terms and block them for all campaigns at once. Adding well performing search terms to keywords across all ad groups is another feature which saves me so much time. Keyword research tool offered by sellics for free (Sonar) allows you to search by competitor's ASIN in every world market and is so valuable to see what I need to focus on when formulating a product description and features (in foreign languages that I don't even speak). And then, don't let me mention another free tool from Sellics - Sonar's Index check - wow - I had previously paid hundreds of dollars to get this level of analytics, but this one is free... and the data is solid - I am saying it because I am in a niche industry and other tools just don't get my business like Selics does. Ability to summarize sales and inventory planner is one of my favs. I am currently selling in US, EU and Canada - inventory planning works well in US and Canada where inventory is not shared with other markets but in UK, the velocity is not taking crossborder demand of UK, Germany, France, Spain and Italy - each market has separately calculated velocity formula - would be cool to combine the sales velocity where inventory is shared. Thanks guys for creating order out of chaos that is my life/business.

Great Amazon Management and Analysis Tool with room to grow

First off: Sellics has the foundation for an all encompassing Amazon analysis and management platform/tool. It is such a vast improvement in visibility and features over the Sellercentral experience. We've been using the tool for about a year now and it has tremendous value, especially after Sellics changed the pricing of their plans.

We do love the ppc automation feature - what an incredibly powerful feature to manage about 80% of your day to day PPC campaign optimization. Still in beta, but so far it has done a great job in managing our cost exposure and efficacy of our campaigns. For us, this feature alone is worth the spend.

Now, it does have its rough edges and we hope that they will continue to evolve and improve. There are really only a couple of things/actions you can do on Amazon PPC. Those should be thought through as potential workflows and the flow within Sellics should be structured accordingly.

Relevant keywords by product are the center of any action. Unfortunately the platform still is a bit disjointed when it comes to managing a particular set of keywords throughout the process. Too many clicks (pair that with long load times on some of those pages).

But, the good news is that you can do everything within Sellics. They just need to streamline and create a meaningful keyword journey (in both directions!! I.e. when you add, but also when you remove a keyword - it should offer ways to compare what you have in relevant keywords to your existing campaigns).

There are certainly load time issues on certain pages and it can drive one crazy when you want to do a quick action and you have to wait for a particular screen/page to open.

Analysis is basic, but certainly beats sifting through data exports from Amazon Seller Central. CoGS are variable and Sellics unfortunately only views them as static; meaning, when you change your CoGS Sellics will change them retroactively. S&H - another area: we have a S&H based on price bands, meaning, we charge shipping for orders under a certain $ threshold. Sales are shown as gross sales (including S&H income).

Sonaar (Sellics free keyword research tool) has the potential to be a great added benefit, but its integration is not at 100%. From what we can tell it is updated once a year! This is not helpful for such a fast changing platform as Amazon is. There are other keyword tools that update on a weekly basis.

Page optimization is a great tool, but again, should be more intuitive and polished.

Ranking by product seems to be updated once a day, but usually lags Amazon's own sales rank by about a day.

Overall, Sellics is a wonderful, all encompassing tool to manage your Amazon business with room to perfect and grow. In its current iteration it already is an integral part of our Amazon platform and given the recently updated pricing structure a no-brainer.

Powerful tool for Amazon sellers

The platform has come a long way in the last few years and I am substantially upgrading my review as a result.

The Good:
The automation tools for PPC keyword harvesting are, alone, worth the price of admission. I hope my competitors dont use it.

The very detailed and fine tuned business metrics tool provides excellent visibility into both the top level and all the supporting details of my amazon sales financial performance. Its the dashboard I use to drive and monitor the performance of my business strategy.

Support is excellent, there is a customer-centric mindset clearly working at the company. This manifest in the quality of support, product roadmap feedback from users, and a rapid pace of adding valuable features to the platform.

The Bad:
Documentation is very scatter-shot and not kept up to date with the rapidly-evolving platform.

You get a little piece of an explanation here, a little piece over there but out of date. Its like trying to learn the platform by reading tweet history. There is nothing comprehensive. If you want to learn the platform, you will be on an easter egg hunt.

While platform performance has improved in the last few years, it can still be slow and sometimes page loads are frozen or glacial and I have to abandon my session and try back again another time.

Conclusion:
Even with the few flaws, if you are serious about selling on Amazon, you need a tool like Sellics.

Frequently Annoying

A tip for Sellics, don't go to Trust Pilot and rate your own product with 5 stars. That is the furthest thing from building trust ever.

As for the product, I've been using it for a long time, over a year and I've used it with multiple accounts. The most annoying thing:
- It has frequent bugs and the support is too slow. If your product is going to be buggy then you should have super fast support, i.e. real time chat - and they don't. One day everything is working fine, the next day not so much. You're trying to get something done expecting it to work and it doesn't. You try to contact support and then you have to wait hours.

- There are just some quirky things I can't understand who made these decisions. When you go to PPC manager this stupid Clipboard thing opens EVERY time. I have zero use for this thing, asked them to no open it automatically, the use case of this is so specific. I don't use it, would never use it and have no option for turning it off. Charting - you have to chart two elements on every chart, why? It's impossible to get a chart with just the metric you are trying to visualize, you have to chart a second metric for no reason.

- They use that STUPID 'conversation support' thing where it's a chat window but it's not chat. You type something then you might get a response in a few hours, maybe a day. Then you end up with just a bunch of conversations in this list, you have no idea which issues are resolved/closed because you can't close a conversation and there is no alternate ticketing view. It's impossible to keep organized and again if things are going to break all the time having a fast, organized support system is probably kinda a good idea.

Reply from Sellics

Hi Jeremy,

thanks for continuing to stick with Sellics and helping us improve! We're happy to see that you are such a loyal customer and that, overall, Sellics seems to be able to assist you in your daily quests on Amazon.

We know there are many things to improve on and are actually keeping track of all of these little and large requests / issues. As with most softwares, the development can take longer than anticipated - especially in our case, as we have to continually adapt to various changes made by Amazon. This is unfortunately something all Amazon tools are confronted with.

We are doing our best to improve on all fronts though. I saw you mentioned the clipboard in the PPC Manager. This now stays closed on the left side by default, also thanks to your input! (the clipboard is also not really necessary anymore, as sellers can now make all the changes directly within the PPC Manager)

Thanks again for sticking with us!

Regards,

David
