Excellent experience, James handled the whole process in a professional way and the whole thing was painless, sell my classic run a great service and the way that platform runs i.e. seller gets hammer price gives me confidence that they are motivated to get the seller the best price!

Saw the advert on instagram to sell my classic. Filled in the form and sent some photos and got a valuation . I agreed a reserve price the car was put into the online auction. The auction ran from 10am to 12 .45 .At the end I was contacted by a staff member to tell me the outcome.I was very happy with the whole way the auction ran and would be happy to recommend this company to sell your classic.

Sent form off for valuation after reading an advert. Was contacted by James and was given an estimated valuation and advice how to take pictures of my car plus any documents ,history and faults. The car was put into auction and sold for above the reserve price. Buyer contacted me and arranged collection and payment within the seven days agreed. All went well, would use again.

From the start to the end the service was brilliant I was kept well informed and the collection was easy the driver was friendly and efficient

I emailed the company a week ago but I have had no response so I have no qualms about posting this.

My car failed to make its reserve and I was given two options by 'Rob'. One was to accept the highest bid and it would be a 'done deal under auction laws' (?) and the buyer would have to take it. The other was to try and negotiate a higher price with the bidder in which case it would be a 'sale by private treaty' (?) and be subject to further examination, test drive etc. I accepted the first option.

The buyer arrived and after a quick look over the car spent half an hour scraping at underseal in a rear wheel arch, found a hole, and rejected the car despite volunteering his opinion that there was no way I could have known about it in advance and nor would photos have shown it.

The buyer phoned Rob who was adamant that the car had been 'misdescribed' and that the buyer was entitled to walk away. What does anyone expect from a 50 year-old MGB? You would have to strip all the underseal off to be sure there was no corrosion anywhere.

I repeatedly asked Rob what the difference is between the two options he gave me but he kept talking over me saying the car was misdescribed. The seller's How it Works states "there will be no test driving, no tyre kicking and the collection will be hassle free".

The buyers Terms and Conditions state "If, in your reasonable opinion, further information is required about a particular Vehicle, you should request such information from the seller via the ‘Contact Seller’ button before you make a Bid." No additional information was requested.

The Terms further state "The Buyer shall only be entitled to withdraw its bid and receive a full refund if on collection The Buyer can demonstrate that the Seller has factually misdescribed the vehicle and the seller is not willing to amend the sale price to represent the condition." No such request to amend the sale price was made but I overheard Rob say to the buyer he could have his fee back.

If Classic Trade choose to exercise their right of reply I would like them to explain what the difference is between the two options that Rob gave me, and to explain why they don't advise sellers that cars will be subject to further inspection in any event.

Henry guided me throughout the process from sale ( setting a realistic reserve etc ) to handover and it went smoothly and effectively. The key to their business is the integrity of the buyers. There is no quibble upon collection the agreed price being what you get.

I recommend anyone with a classic car to use sellmyclassic and be confident of being treated honestly.

They asked detailed questions regarding the car so that the info on the site was accurate and explained the exact requirements for the photos.
The auction is to dealers who want the truth so that a successful bidder has confidence they know what they are buying. There were a number of bids that only fell 6% short of the reserve so I allowed the sale to go through. The buyer paid for and collected the car the same day.
Very convenient as I was taking possession of a new car. The sale was of a Celebration model Jaguar XJS and the very helpful staff members were Henry and Rob.

For someone who is not great using technology, I was nervous using an online auction site to sell my C36 Mercedes. I shouldn’t have worried, I had constant guidance and support from Mike throughout the process , even though it was over the weekend.
My car just reached below the reserve price, but still sold that day with guidance from Mike. Collection and payment was stress free. Would gladly use this site again.
