It wasn't a big name device so I was limited to who would take it, I'd not dealt with sellmyphone.org but as their reviews were good I went with them.
A very happy, stressfree easy experience. Highly recommended

Sent my phone in with the mail in service through compare and recycle. Phone had a small scratch on the corner, barely noticeable, but yet my original offer was downgraded by £35 due to this barely noticeable scratch. Very dissapointed with this service as it took 3 days for the phone to be delivered to them and then another day for them to test it. Slow service, scamming for reduction in payouts. Avoid this organisation.

All devices received by us are carefully inspected and graded. Even minor cosmetic imperfections can affect a device's resale value and therefore may result in a revised offer. Any price adjustment is made only after a thorough assessment. We understand that the reduction may have been frustrating. However, revised offers are never applied arbitrarily.
With regard to the timescales, your parcel spent three days in transit with the courier, which is unfortunately outside of our control. Once received, your device was inspected and processed in line with our standard turnaround times.

Sold my Samsung A55 to cowboys
Sold my Samsung A55 to these, characters. They offered a competitive price on a comparison website (with minimal info about how they assess condition) to lure me in, then revalued at 75% of the initial price. The price reduction was related to condition...this phone is pristine, the only flaw is a tiny mark on the screen, not crack, its a 5-6mm scratch, which is not visible at 30cms. The phone is a year old and has lived in a wallet case. I would post photos here to prove my point, but can't.
Seller beware...if you do not accept their valuation its going to cost you £10 to get your phone back

All devices received by us are carefully inspected and graded based on the condition they are received in. During inspection, our team identified visible scratches on the screen which affected the grading and resale value of the device. We provided clear inspection images and also highlighted the scratches on the image originally provided by you, where the phone was described as being in pristine condition.
The images shared by our team showed multiple visible scratches on the screen rather than a single isolated 5–6mm mark. There was a visible cluster of scratches present on the display.
While we understand these marks may appear minor during everyday use, cosmetic condition still affects grading and resale value within the second-hand market.
Customers are always given the option either to accept the revised valuation or have the device returned. Our return policy is outlined within our terms and conditions. At no stage did we state that return fees would apply in this case. Returns are free where offers are rejected solely due to scratches or cosmetic marks. Had this been queried with us directly, we would have been more than happy to clarify this.
We always aim to provide fair, transparent and consistent assessments and we appreciate your feedback.
