Was a bit concerned at first, but rest assured this company is legit, they sold my device at the promised price and received the payment about 7 hours after the email was sent to me. Good customer service but there chat bot doesn't seem to work on the website as I tried it multiple times and was left waiting(only reason for the 4 star would be 4.5 in my opinion), but there telephone and email does would sell too again I highly recommend for a top competitive price

I traded in my iPhone 14 Pro Max and was originally quoted £370 with a 14‑day deadline. Knowing I would be a day late, I phoned in advance and was reassured this would not be a problem given postal delays. Had I been told differently, I would not have sent the phone.
When the device arrived, I was told the quote had expired and offered £325 instead, with the added pressure that if I did not accept that day the price would drop to £280 overnight. At the time I felt forced to agree, but I have since checked and found that this claim was not true — the £325 valuation was still being advertised on their site days later. Having paid £11 for next‑day delivery to meet the deadline, I felt misled and pressured into accepting a lower price.
I first received a text message asking for “proof of purchase,” which I did not initially understand. This was followed by a phone call that was not pleasant: raised voices and repeated threats that the funds would be recalled from PayPal if I did not provide proof. This approach felt threatening and unnecessary — a polite request would have sufficed.
My overall experience left me dissatisfied. Communication was poor, the valuation process felt inconsistent, and the way proof of ownership was handled caused unnecessary stress. You would expect a small company reliant on good reviews to treat customers better. You would also expect a company to be open and honest, to accept reviews both positive and negative, and not to persuade customers to alter their feedback simply to present a falsely high star rating.
It is important to note that my recent negative review related to the iPhone 14 Pro Max transaction. Since posting that review, Sell Techs have now gone back to a completely separate, earlier transaction (an iPhone 13 Mini sold over six weeks ago, for which payment was already made) and are suddenly demanding proof of purchase that was never requested at the time of sale. They have coupled this with the same veiled threat of recalling funds. This behaviour feels retaliatory and undermines their claim to value honest customer feedback.

The whole transaction was dealt with promptly and I was paid the expected amount. The only thing that let it down was the lack of communication; it would have been nice to have received a confirmation of receipt and/or value.
