If you enjoy spending hours on hold or…

If you enjoy spending hours on hold or listening to pre-recorded messages, then this is the insurance for you. When you call, you get a 3 minute terms and conditions even before getting to chose who you want to talk with. Then expect at least 25 minutes on hold listening to 'thanks for your patience. we apologize for the wait' every thirty seconds. If you want to check your insurance is up to date, log on, or make a claim, then sit back and relax, and relax some more, waiting, waiting, waiting, is anybody there? I spent my time looking up competitors.

Need to review claims process

All a bit confusing but I gather this is the legal entity used by Australian Seniors Insurance.
They also use Hollard to handle their claims section.
I lodged a very small claim a while ago for theft of some handyman tools from my garage. I normally would not bother with a claim this small but wanted to see how it went as I had only recently moved to Australian Seniors.
Final payout took over 2 months and the whole process simply 'froze' numerous times until I emailed them for an update, which happened several times through the process. My claim was not even showing on the Australian Seniors website under my policy details.
Just a concern as to how it would go if it was ever a major and urgent claim? Hollard claimed it was slow due to their work volume but they then need a system which monitors and progresses claims as opposed to simply waiting for a reminder from the client especially as they seem to be the 'backoffice' for so many retail brands.
