Great Service and Communication
Only having taken out cover with Sensible Solutions recently I found myself in the position of no heating and hot water 2 days ago. No problem, a quick call at 6.30 in the evening and Leanne made all the necessary arrangements for an engineer to be here this morning and the fault was rectified without fuss despite the young man from East Midlands Reactive Maintenance having to make a visit to a local merchant to source the part required. Excellent communication from both Sensible Heating and EMRM and a worthy 5 star recommendation.
A company who really cares about their employees and customers
I had two encounters with East Midlands reactive maintenance (EMRM) which is a part of Sensible Heating Solutions and the service they provided was outstanding.
I had a boiler replaced by British Gas 6 years ago and had regular service from them. The last service was 2 months before my boiler warranty expired and no issues were raised. Once the warranty expired, my insurance premium was increased more than 200%. So I changed my cover to Home serve. The engineer who came from Home serve for initial boiler service told me there is a big problem with my boiler. As the quote for parts and repairing cost was only minimal compared to the cost of a new boiler, I opted for a new boiler. Home serve arranged (EMRM) to install IT.
I met two of the engineers (Charlie and Jo) from EMRM who installed the new boiler. They were friendly, trustworthy and finished the installation nicely. I approached them to see whether they would be able to flush the central heating system as well. They immediately spoke to their company and got the job done within a week.
Eight months after installation, my new boiler broke down in January. As I had cover with Home serve, I contacted them. But Home serve advised me to contact the boiler company as the boiler has warranty. When I contacted the boiler company they said the warning sign I was getting from the boiler was probably due to blocked vent and they advised me to contact the insurer. After making a few further calls to Home serve and the boiler company, I still was not able to get help with them. After suffering without a heating system for 4 freezing days, in desperation I called EMRM and explained to them what happened. Even though I didn’t have any cover with Sensible Heating Solutions, I was prepared to pay from my pocket. They sent an Engineer (Jo) within 2 hours.
Jo and his team identified two problems: one with a sensor and another with low gas pressure. Jo arranged Cadent to deal with the low gas pressure and also arranged a new sensor to be delivered and fitted. EMRM didn’t charge any fees as Jo (engineer), who installed my boiler, took this as his moral responsibility and rectified the problem. .
After speaking to the Engineers, I gathered an important message. It seems they have a very happy working environment as their two Gaffers are making sure their employees are getting adequate training, support and freedom. No wonder this company is getting popular nowadays.
After having many difficulties with big companies in the market, I feel I have finally found out a company who really cares about their employees and customers. Now I have changed my boiler cover to Sensible Heating Solutions with the newfound confidence that I would be able to get quick help if I encounter any future problems with my boiler.
