I love the wallet, but...****update***
I love the wallet! It is beautiful. The design and quality are amazing. The shipping time on it was only a week outside of what was expected. Sadly, I still haven't received my bag. According to the tracking it came to the states (IL) left and went through customs (HKG) then came back and went through customs (LAX). Aside from that, it has two separate order dates 13 days apart. I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever receive the bag itself.

I received my bag today, two weeks after I received the wallet. It is beautiful. I am extremely happy with the end product, but I am still very disappointed with the shipping delay and issue. Why couldn't these items have been shipped together? Also, why the different order dates?

Making it right
My purse i ordered for my granddaughter came a few weeks ago but it was damaged, i wrote about it and they sent me a new one. I was skeptical whether I would really get it but it came today and looks great. I'm very excited to give it to my granddaughter this weekend. Made me really happy that they made it better. Cute bags, but not the best experience
The bags, to the naked eye, are super cute! I ordered two bags, a small and a medium size, and got two free matching wallets.
BUT they smelled terrible upon arriving. Strong, almost overpowering chemical scents. I'm assuming it's the ink used in printing the pictures onto the material. The items shipped in three separate packages and came in at all different times. I received the 1st bag on 1/14/2025 and it took several days to air out and still has a faint odor inside (more than a week later) so I'm afraid to put anything in it until the smell is gone. I just got the second bag in the mail so I'm waiting for that one to air out. One of them is a gift, so I'm hoping to wait until the smell is gone before gifting it because it's actually a little embarrassing.
The bags have an option for personalization and even if you don't personalize, there's a little rectangle where the personalization is supposed to go that's just blank. It would be nice if that was left off completely if you don't choose to personalize. Of course, the one I chose for gifting is the one I didn't personalize, and it looks a little cheap just having that obvious blank on it.
The items were shipped in plastic mailing bags. That might not be a huge deal, but I ordered on 12/21/24, they shipped on 12/31/2024 and I received the 1st bag on 1/14/2025, the 2nd on 1/21/2025 and the wallets on 1/22/2025. So they spent 22 days at the longest being bounced around in shipping, including customs, and the shipping bags had obviously been crushed and were very dirty. There was no real protection around the purses and wallets other than the plastic and dust bags. Luckily, there was no real damage to the purses, but the larger of the two had definitely been squished.
Overall, the items are cute, but I don't know that I would purchase more. If you DO decide to purchase these as gifts, order EARLY as it took a month from my order date to receive all the items.

Very poorly made straps. It won't hold much weight at all.
I got the leather large handbag and the straps are super skinny and skimpy. It certainly won't hold any books or anything heavy at all. I really would just like to return it. I got my daughter the Snow Queen bag and her straps are hearty while mine will not last very long. I guess the leather ones are a downgrade? Not at all what I expected, the straps are so flimsy I will barely ever use it becuase it will break so easily.

Somewhat false advertising + cheap
Somewhat false advertising and I definitely won't be purchasing from them again.
The company website makes no mention that the bags and wallets are made in China. All addresses are US, and you don't have any idea it's coming from China until you get the shipping alert from a third party international tracking number.
I ordered a bag on December 10, and got it today January 16th. The site says production time takes 3-4 days, and 'most' items get shipped in 5 days... mine took 10 days to finally ship, and in the meantime I was bombarded with emails of 'this person is currently lovingly sewing it together' 'now we're going to check every detail to make sure it's perfect' - 'but while we do, go buy more!'
Then I finally get the bag, it's decent but doesn't look anywhere near as good as advertised. I also paid extra for the 'personalization service' which is advertised as a nice little leather nameplate on the bottom corner - but is actually just printed flat into the design and looks cheap.

Fake bags, unethical business
Ordered a brown handbag with Edger Allen Poe book spines printed on it. The bag came with a pink tint over the entire bag. Ordered a black top grain leather bag with the same print and it came with a purple tint and was made of fake leather. Company was contacted via email for a refund but ignored the request. The issue was finally resolved by filing a dispute on the charge and the credit card company finding SentenArts at fault.
