Buying this card is completely %100 a waste of time, money, energy!! Customer service is a joke, all they do is repeat themselves with non relevant information and they refuse to help what so ever. I'm having a family emergency, bought the card to purchase data for my phone so I could access the Internet to find my family member in a hospital and serve told me they can't help me. I'm beyond frustrated with serve. Will never ever purchase another card d from them not ever nor will I recommend them to Amy of my colleagues friends or family!!!!!

Incompetent prepaid service
Do not work with Jackson Hewitt and get a prepaid card through Serve for your taxes. Serve will continue to harass you through email about your account being active after having a zero balance. I called to close the account completely last year to stop these mailers, the agent said they’d lock the account and then close it within a month. What do you know, past that time frame I’m sent more emails and when I called them today they said they can’t close the account with it being locked and won’t unlock to close it without sending documents that I have to fill out? They also stated they wouldn’t remove me from their email list after I requested. This process has been painfully complicated for them for something so simple.

This prepaid card service was a scam and has stolen my money. Beware.
Serve.com has closed my prepaid account after 10+ years without any possibility of recourse. The company has collected its fee every month and has kept the balance of my card when closing my account.
Be aware that you will have NO help from State or Federal agencies to recover your money.

UPDATE: after months of waiting, serve acknowledged its mistake in print and re-enabled my account. It gets it a +1 star.
