Starting with the not-so-good. I ordered four used HDDs from Serverblink at an attractive price. Three of the drives were DOA: one passed the SMART self-assessment, one failed self-assessment, and two were not even recognized by the BIOS -- a 75% failure rate! Clearly, there was a breakdown in QA or inventory handling somewhere. I reported my problem and was pleasantly surprised by the response. Simon was courteous and apologetic and pledged that he would take care of it. He did. After I provided photos, Simon took responsibility for problem and offered options. Unfortunately, the drives I ordered were no longer available in good condition. Simon offered a full refund or better drives at a slightly higher price. Ultimately, I elected to take the refund. Simon issued the refund quickly and turned an otherwise poor experience into a positive one. Things happen. What's important is how they are handled. I commend Serverblink and Simon for doing the right thing. They provided excellent customer support. Although this order did not work out, I'll definitely consider future purchases knowing that they take care of their customers.
Having many discussions with and questions answered by their customer service representative made my experience worry free. Not to mention the 30 day warranty! They also went out of their way to get me the product I wanted and needed. My product came quickly, was packaged well and best of all, it worked when installed.
