To Whom It May Concern,

This is my fourth attempt to resolve this matter.

I subscribed to Settlemate and was charged, yet I am unable to access or use the service because I do not reside in the United States. Despite three prior written refund requests, I have received no response.

The service has not been delivered, and access was effectively impossible from the start. This constitutes a failure to provide the purchased service.

I am requesting the following within five business days:

Immediate cancellation of my subscription

Full refund of the charged amount

Written confirmation of both actions

If I do not receive a response within this timeframe, I will proceed with a formal chargeback through my payment provider and file complaints with the appropriate consumer protection authorities.

I expect a prompt resolution.

Pending receival of transactions since April... Why? Delay in EUR payouts? Not sure, but Settle is not at all recommended

Is Settle a scam ?

On 3 May, I made some transfers from settle to my bank account. In previous experiences it took a maximum of 3 working days to reach my account, which is normal for sepa transfers.

However, this time it's been a week and the amount hasn't reached my bank account. And here begins the great Settle disappointment!

On 10 May I went to look for the support contact on the app, and when I clicked on it, it sent me to an error page. I went to the website to look for a support email contact, no email or telephone contacts were found. I found a form which I filled in and received no reply, not even an automated one. It was starting to look like a scam page, so I went to the footer of the website to check the link that refers to Settle's licence as a financial institution authorised by the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority. Surprise: page not found!
In the application, I found a link where we could ask settle to send our personal details, and finally I received an automatic email from Settle and a contact e-mail where I could send a support request.
Sending an email on the 10th, I received an automatic email saying that I was on a waiting list because the support system was undergoing setup changes.

On 13 May, Settle support sent a message explaining that there had been a temporary pause in transfers due to problems with VISA and MASTERCARD, but that it had now been resolved and that I would receive the funds in my bank account in the next few days.

The relief was short-lived.
On 16 May, without having received anything in my account, I contacted them again and received no reply.

On 20 May, without having received anything in my account, I contact them again and receive an automatic email "Thank you for contacting Settle.
Our customer support will process your request as soon as possible. (...)".

On 29 May I contacted Settle again and received the same automatic email.

To this day, 30 May, I still haven't received my funds in my bank account or a decent response from Settle.

Questions for SETTLE
Why is the link to your licence as a financial institution authorised by the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority not working and where can we find your licence register?
Is Settle Group AS really licensed to provide financial services in all EEA states as an Electronic Money Institution?
If you consider yourselves to be a legitimate and serious company, why is your transparency and support so poor?
And most importantly, when will my funds be sent to my account?

[EDIT 07/06/2024] Funds received today! No communication from Settle.

Pending transactions since 21st of May

Pending transactions since 21st of May. I had multiple transfers which arrived only after i complained to the support. I have since then made other transfers and the outcome is the same, no money until today.

Problem with transfer

On 03/05 I sent some transfers to my account, and today the money is still not there.
Support didn't exist and did not respond to any solicitations.

[Edit 22/05/2024] Today I received a response from Settle Group for the first time through the social network Facebook. I never received any response to my email support request.
Support confirmed that my transfers were made today. I await confirmation of reception at the destination and after that, I can consider the situation resolved.

[Edit 07/06/2024] Problem solved today.

Due to delays in payments from the international payment networks (Visa & MasterCard) certain Settle customers (58 in total) experienced a delay in payouts to their IBAN. All such customers have been informed of this event in the Settle App as well as with push messages. All such payouts have since been performed. Note that delays in card funded payments is outside of our control and such delays are covered in the Term of Service. Unfortunately Settle was in the process of replacing its support system at the same time as the delay impacted the 58 customers. All support messages were received and automatically replied to, informing the sender that there would be a delay in response due to the system replacement. Settle appreciate all customer feedback, even those who completely ignore our terms and the responses provided.

I made a transaction of approximately…

I made a transaction of approximately 1000€ on 03/05/2024, and after one week, the money didn't arrive in my bank account. I tried to contact the support team but didn't receive any reply. I have made similar transactions in the past without any issues. I don't understand what is happening.

[Edit 13/05/2024] I received a response from Settle support informing me of the following: "Apologies for the delayed response, as we were undergoing a system upgrade, and emails are being addressed in the order they were received. Regarding your concern, I'd like to explain that there was a temporary pause in payouts recently due to issues with Visa and Mastercard. However, I'm pleased to inform you that these issues have been resolved, and payouts will resume shortly. You can expect your funds to arrive in the next few days."

[Edit 20/05/2024] I find it very amusing that Settle claims to inform customers promptly. I was contacted and informed of this incident by email only after I posted this review. I understand that problems can occur, but having two issues simultaneously requires urgent action. On 13/05/2024, I was informed by email that I would receive my funds in the next few days. I don't know what "a few days" means to Settle, but I am still waiting for my money. Twenty days have passed, and my problem remains unresolved.

[Edit 27/05/2024] Almost a month has passed, and I still haven't received the money. The issue remains unsolved. What is more shocking is that I send emails weekly asking for updates and explanations, and I get no replies. Knowing that the problem affects only 58 people, I don't understand the lack of response. Very bad service.

[Edit 03/06/2024] Not solved.

[Edit 07/06/2024] This is unacceptable. Now in the app it says they have delays in euro payments. They rarely reply and when they do, they reply with a standard message without resolving the issue. I will take legal action now. I advice the other users to do so.

[Edit 07/06/2024] I received the money today, but I don't consider the problem solved as some compensation must be taken. It is not normal waiting more than one month to get the funds. This has an impact on financial people lives.

This is a scam - DO NOT USE THIS APP

This is a scam. Don´t use this APP. I´m in a similar situation like everybody. I transfer my funds from app to my bank account, and they get lost somewhere.. even don´t has been refunded.

I check with my bank and they investigate, and say that never arrive any funds from Settle.

Where is the support contact??
They don´t reply to emails, or via webpage (that doesn´t work).
Everybody could check, because it´s online (or should i say offline)

This is not a legitimate company

Have 250€ 'lost' since 12 of January.
Made a transfer out of Settle that was rejected. It was sended back to settle on the 14 january but never reached my account !

I lost my money

I lost my money. I was robbed... add the to my account and couln't transfer to any other the bank account, can't make payments with it because there is virtual card--- nothing. They just want to catch your money.
