My SFX Funded Experience
I recently took part in the SFX Funded PropFirm evaluation, and honestly, it was both challenging and rewarding. From the start, I could tell they’re serious about building disciplined traders. The rules were clear — no hidden tricks, no confusion — just a fair structure that tests your consistency and risk control.
The trading conditions were quite good. Spreads were fair most of the time, though they could tighten them a bit more, especially during high-volatility sessions. Execution was smooth, and I didn’t face any major slippage issues. I’d love to see them reduce commissions a little, as that would make trading even more comfortable.
What really stood out to me was their customer support. They responded quickly and genuinely cared about helping me. That’s something you don’t see often with prop firms these days.
Sadly, I lost my account due to the maximum drawdown rule, and that was tough to take in. But to be fair, the rule made me realize how much risk management matters. I learned a lot from that experience — and I plan to come back stronger.
SFX Funded PropFirm feels like a growing, trustworthy company that’s truly for traders. If they keep improving their spreads and maybe add lower commissions, they’ll definitely rank among the best.

Hidden rules(over leveraging and Martin)

Unfair treatment & denial of platform issues – Lost challenge due to SFX’s faults
I purchased a Rapid Challenge from SFX and from the very start had issues. Even during account creation they admitted:
“What happened during your account creation was highly unusual, and we really appreciate your patience while we resolved it.”
That was my first red flag.
Fast forward to trading: I was in an open position, setting my Stop Loss and Take Profit, when the platform kicked me out. Every attempt to log back in gave me 502 Bad Gateway errors (I attached multiple screenshots and sent them to support at the time). Meanwhile, my position kept running in drawdown without my ability to manage it. The account blew while I was locked out.
I immediately reported this, provided timestamped photos proving I could not log in, and explained I was still connected to TradingView (so it wasn’t my internet). Yet SFX’s response was:
“No outages were recorded”
“Everything was fine on our side”
“It must have been your connection/device”
This is simply not true — a 502 Bad Gateway error is a server-side issue, not a personal internet issue.
I even reminded them that I had previously reported bad practices in their app design (which they acknowledged) and gave them constructive suggestions to improve it. Instead of showing accountability for their system failures, they dismissed all evidence and refused to reset my account, leaving me out of pocket.
To summarize:
They admit to “highly unusual” errors during my account creation.
I provided proof of server-side login issues.
I lost my account directly because of being locked out.
They deny responsibility despite clear evidence.
Be ready for a reply from them even on this post claiming “no outages were recorded.” If anyone wants to see the truth, I have the email proof and screenshots to back up every word.
This is not how a professional prop firm should treat paying clients. Traders beware — if their platform fails, you will take the loss, not them.

After reading my review, they have offered me a replacement account as a “gesture of good will” I did not accept it to keep this review true.
