From the moment I contacted SG Doors , I have had excellent service and results.

It is over 3 years since I had my roller garage doors fitted, absolutely an excellent job, completed quickly and efficiently. Life is now so much easier, especially when it is raining.

Unfortunately I lost a fob, managed to buy a replacement , but could not understand the instructions to connect it to the transmitter. A quick phone call to Ben and within a couple of minutes, gave me clear instructions what to do, sorted. Now that is what I call service, without having to press half a dozen buttons on my phone, to then talk to a machine.
Obviously I highly recommend SG Doors.

Great service and communication. Overcame a problem with an opening being out of square professionally. Really pleased with the end result and with the efforts of Ben and the installation team. Would recommend to anyone interested.

We have had a very unfortunate experience with this company. We ordered a roll-up electric garage door last November (2024) and the owner sent a fitter out with samples to discuss the project. This fitter was pleasant and polite and my husband was happy to go ahead. He phoned the company office to place the order and immediate payment of a £400 deposit was demanded by bank transfer before the order was accepted.
The fitter installed the door, and although again polite was under stress to finish the job quickly, without any assistant, to move on to another job that day. The installation was therefore very hurried and the door enclosure was not properly fitted and was left bulging away from the door frame. The company offers a 5yr warranty for parts and 2yrs for labour, (with a disclaimer for mistreatment or poor maintenance) so my husband called the owner out to rectify the work. He did come out with a bad grace and inserted a few screws randomly with short tempered annoyance, demanding immediate payment of the £2,100 balance for completion of the work, without providing any invoice or receipt, or any information about the manufacturer. He emphasized that there should be no obstruction to the functioning of the door, which would invalidate the warranty, so my husband, who operates the mechanism has therefore been very careful to comply.
Earlier this month, the door unaccountably rolled up on itself when my husband opened it and he couldn’t get it to function thereafter. He therefore called the owner, who refused to come out that day, claiming a 24 hour call-out delay, and also an immediate £120 fee by cash or cheque, despite the warranty. He did in fact appear a few hours later and spent c. 20 mins. making an adjustment that so far has solved the problem. He was once again short-tempered and unpleasant, demanding a cheque for the £120 call out charge, claiming that my husband had brought the door down on an obstruction, thus invalidating the warranty. My husband came back into the house to write a cheque, but I called the owner to speak to me at our front door. I am 79 years old and disabled so can’t get outside unaided. Both of these facts should have been obvious to the owner, but when I stated that my husband had not placed any obstruction below the door, he began to dispute that aggressively and loudly, stating that the door had been brought down on an obstruction, implying that my husband was lying. I held my ground and pointed out that the owner had no proof for his assertion, but he continued to shout at me. He did capitulate, and angrily said he would forget the cheque, but we must never contact him again. He walked away to his car across our driveway, loudly complaining, and as he turned to open the car door he yelled across at me ‘Honest to f***ing God!!!’ which could have been heard by any of our neighbours.
We bitterly regret using this company and are left high and dry without any warranty or redress.

Ben and his team, fitted an electric garage door and a double side gate, in matching colours which was also matched to the house render. I have to say the quality of the doors and the materials used were first class resulting in an excellent finish.
I would recommend them to anyone, for the quality of workmanship and the prompt installation and the friendly manner they dealt with everything.
A first rate job...

I rang Ben on Monday because the old garage door was very difficult to open. Ben came to look at the door on Tuesday morning. He ordered a new door and by 10.00 on Thursday morning the new door had been installed. An excellent service and I would recommend Shakespeare Garage Doors if ever you have a problem with your garage door and it needs replacing.

Had new roller garage door fitted. the fitter arrived on time as arranged and completed the fitting in very little time without any fuss and took the old door away leaving no mess. Perfect service and would recommend to anyone.

SG doors replaced a garage door motor system a year ago. The product and installation was carried out efficiently and quickly. However no manual or instructions were supplied and despite telephone conversations and emails to try and obtain these we received no response.
Recently we had a problem with the mechanism, not due to any fault of what was installed. When we contacted SG Doors by email and phone messages (we never managed to speak to anybody on their phones) we got no response. We eventually got the manual from the equipment manufacturers and were able to resolve the issue ourselves. So:

A great and efficient service. Ben told me what was happening and what was needed to repair my garage door. Although Ben was having problems with his van he kept me informed exactly when he would be over. Communication is very important to me and it builds up trust.

Very good service. Quote was given immediately and door was delivered and fitted within the four week timescale quoted. Old door and surround and all rubbish were removed.

I have just had installed an electric roller garage door fitted by SG Doors. The team led by Dan, namely Kevin and Ian, were very professional and did a great job. This door was fitted to a space which was originally a garage but now is a utility room with a planned small bathroom. It was essential for the door to be sealed all round the edges, including the floor and this has been achieved successfully, despite my wonky floor. Kevin also very kindly blocked in a space in the ceiling/wall where huge spiders gathered! Thank you to all involved. Would highly recommend this company.
