Due to the court action by S G Estates and consortium against Wrexham council regarding the LDP I would urge anybody in Wrexham that cares about the local community, culture, already creaking infrastructure and beautiful countryside to boycott SG Estates, Olivegrove lettings and and other company associated with Steve Griffin and any other companies within the consortium.

Awful company you have to chase constantly and dont get straight answers. "Award winning homes" - If the award was for Developer operating above their capability - Then I would agree.

From our first visit to the SG Estates Sales Office to enquire about their new Maes Helyg development we were struck by the friendliness of the staff. We reserved our plot and were prepared to wait for our new home to be built. During this time Cate, the Sales Manager was always available, was extremely supportive and would often make suggestions or give advice, e.g. about flooring or kitchen choice, but not in a pushy, over the top way. We also met the Site Manager on several occasions and again he was pleasant and very approachable.
Regarding the build itself we felt very much involved at every stage of the process and were able to adapt our new home to our specific taste. I think this degree of flexibility was one of the main benefits in dealing with a medium sized, local builder. The quality of the build actually surpassed our expectations and the finish has been admired by many of our subsequent visitors.
SG has made it possible for us to return to live in Llangollen on a beautiful new estate with outstanding views of the Welsh countryside.

We are so very happy to have made the move with SG Estates! The opportunity to be able to change things within the house and create a very personal living space was not too be missed. Cate in the sales office took us through the footprint of the house and helped and advised on the changes that we wanted to make and was our constant line of communication throughout the building process. It has been a fantastic experience purchasing a property from SG Estates at Llangollen. This property was very important to both of us being our last home where we would be retiring.
The initial meeting with SG Estates filled us with confidence straight away, we were moving from Kent so it was important to us that we got the home we wanted. We were provided with a comprehensive set of options around the properties available and the specifications available.
Immediately from the information we could work out the orientation of the plot we had chosen and the views we would be able to enjoy in our new home.
We had regular meetings with the sales team who expertly guided us through the possibilities and any upgrades. Throughout the process, we were well supported in making our choices and we are delighted with the outcome.
In March Covid Struck which created many challenges, however, SG Estates kept us up to date at all times and let us know of progress and any delays due to the pandemic.
As the house started to be built we were introduced to the site manager who let us know of the build process and timetable. He outlined How they would be building the house on the hillside in Llangollen, this and further meetings were really helpful. We felt that working with the sales team and site manager we were really getting the home that we wanted.
We moved into our home in October, SG Estates worked with us on the snagging list. The list was quite small given the size and complexity of the build, as of today the majority of the snags have been resolved.
We are now settled in our new home and believe we have had an excellent experience from SG Estates, from initial engagement all the way through to completion has been great.
