We highly recommend Krav Maga. Our son participated in the teen class for about 13 months. During that time, he learned self defense in many different scenarios while increasing his fitness and self confidence. Classes were available nearly every day of the week. All the instructors offered challenging classes.

The class overall is great. The instructor is able to teach very well and answers any questions that we have.

The meeting spot was easy to find, the class started timely, and the instructors were even considerate enough to provide sunscreen lotion. The two-hour class included a core warm up, two-person drills, and team building drills. Gabriel lead the class tailoring his attention to each student's experience and curiosities. If you're wondering if you'd like to practice krav maga regularly, this class is an affordable introduction that will probably convince you to do so.

I have been with Shaan Saar for almost two years. Gabriel and his instructors make the learning environment safe for all levels of knowledge and physical fitness. There is a significant focus on building a safe and open communication community. There are no dumb questions, lots of fun, and laughter while learning self-defense. The lessons are based on real world actions that an individual may encounter. Individuals are friends inside and outside of class and is one of the best environments for pushing your limits with loads of encouragement from fellow students and instructors. Shaan Saar delivers exactly what i was looking for. Practical self defense lessons that can applied to real life situations. Lessons that can help me defend myself rather than learning how to score points in a sport competition. If you are looking for true self defense, i highly recommend Shaan Saar.

Was looking for a place to do Krav Maga and I’m so happy I picked this one. Gabriel is very accommodating and makes Krav accessible to a variety of people. I have autism and thought I might struggle but Gabriel was very receptive to my needs and I was able to participate in a way that I was comfortable. Every class is interesting and builds upon previous lessons. I thought everything I learned was useful and applicable to real life scenarios. Not only do they teach you the physical aspects of Krav but they also touch on the legality of self-defense. The classes are taught in a small group format, but my I felt that I also received personal attention to address specific concerns I had. I attended my discovery session today with Gabriel. He was very thorough and detailed. It was a lot of very critical and valuable information. I didn't think I would learn so much information in the initial session! I highly recommend it to anyone interested in self-defense.

The discovery session was awesome! I really appreciated your background knowledge on the origins of Krav as well as the discussions we had moving through different scenarios and personalities, social classes and situational awareness.
The fact that you explained in detail how the legal process works was also great. Specifically the part of knowing not only when, but how to properly engage and deal with the potential aftermath is paramount for every student.

I came in not knowing much about self defense, and at the end of my training I learned that self defense is more than just the different moves. I learned more about my rights and the law, and this knowledge I’ll carry forward forever.

Renee was great to work with from my initial phone conversation until we met in person. I enrolled my niece in this class to help prepare her to travel and live in a foreign country for college. My niece learned so much about self awareness and self defense that she is totally confident that she can travel and live safe aboard. Had the privilege of learning from Gabriel and Victoria for Trauma Informed and Evidenced based self defense classes . Both of them were extremely friendly, knowledgeable , and patient. The classes encompassed evidenced based theory and body mechanics for potential real like situations where quick-reflex like reactions and the ability to remain calm and confident in your learned skills will lead to a safer outcome . This included not only what to do in the situations but why it works in terms of physiological responses which really help me personally in comprehension . I Would 100% recommend this team and these classes to anyone regardless of level of fitness ability or pace of learning.

Gabriel and Krav Maga in general are fantastic! Terrific experience for me, and the kids! Learning to protect myself, and the people I love provides me with confidence. I also enjoy the exercise and thought behind the techniques we are learning. Krav Maga has something for everyone.

Gabriel and the entirety of Shaan Saar are hands-down the best in the area. It’s not traditional martial arts, and it’s not the place to learn forms or meditation, but it *IS* the place to go if you want to learn real-world, practical self defense. What you learn here WILL help you in actual confrontations, and the tribe you form with the other students and instructors is a nice bonus.

I wanted a class for my teenage daughter to learn Evidence Based Self Defense Krav Maga. After doing some research and talking to friends, I found Shaan Saar in Orlando. Gabriel and his team have been great to work with. My daughter's instructor (Victoria) is extremely knowledgeable, versatile and takes the time to reinforce the principles so they become second-nature. I highly recommend the Shaan Saar group for anyone interested in learning the best self defense tactics and strategies.
