I chose to cancel my subscription so I rang up and spoke to Ruhama who made it incredibly easy to cancel and also did an incredible job to ensure my details were correct the product proved to be good always providing a clean shave and the shave cream lasted longer than expected and smelt lovely

Great service

I have been with Shavekit for some years now. I have never really had a problem of any kind.
The only reason I am leaving now is I have a beard, and have accumulated more than a few shaving heads.
If I return to shaving it will definitely be Shavekit that get the call.

Read the small print - It will save you a lot of time.

I took advantage of a 'pay for postage only' offer and received my trial kit a few days later. The razor and blades were good quality and together with the shaving gel, they have a nice clean shave.
However, today I got a surprise delivery of more blades, body wash and shaving gel. I don't recall signing up for a subscription but I'm sure it will be in the small print, which I clealy didn't read.
I hopped on to their website to cancel the subscription. The UI was refreshingly easy to navigate, I would however say that it is difficult to easily find how to cancel as this sits behind a 'delay my delivery' button. It's only when you press this that you get information about cancelling, whcih required a telephone call.
My call was answered by Ruhama, who was friendly and professional throughout. At the outset of the call whe asked if I wanted to cancel, to which I replied Yes. She told me that this had been done and an email sent - as simple as that! - no attempt to sell or retain, the only question asked was 'did I want to leave a review' I said yes, an email came with a link and that was that!
In summary:
* Misleading about subscription, but read the small print !
* Great product, high quality
* Perfect for those who shave every day
* Customer Service good, quick to answer
* No pressure selling
I now have enough blades to last over six months, otherwise I would subscribe.

This is a scam🚩

This is a scam🚩 . I signed up for a free sample and there was nothing special about the razor at all. I then cancelled over the phone (because that’s the only way they let you cancel), yet I was still charged £37 for a razor.
£37 for what exactly?
Completely misleading and not worth it. Avoid at all cost! ❗ ❗ ❗

Scam

Scam. Ordered a trial with virgin wines.
Checked it wasn't a subscription... Which it is! Then charged £37 for a kit that's just an average razor really.
Sent 2 emails. No reply. You will go around in circles trying to cancel on the members area. You will need to call your bank to cancel.....then Send back the items at your own expense! Watch out. You will waste 2 hours of your life on some average razors!

Good experience

Gave the trial pack a go and after a little issue with the account management, it was quickly sorted out.

Products are great, razor is really good and shaving foam is probably the best ive used and no irritation from it.

I love the shave kit

I love the shave kit, it’s a great product and I’ve been using it for a few years now. I needed to cancel my subscription due to moving abroad and I have plenty of blades to use still. The customer service lady, Ruhama was incredibly helpful and made the process really straightforward.

Not worth one star

I wrote a review telling the truth about Shavekit, they claim they offered me several option, this is a complete lie. Shavekit did not send me a free trial razor until after the blades at £19 arrived, If the razors @ £19 arrive before the actual free trial razor how can you try it before the blades, to see if you like it or not? The Shavekit was offered to Iceland card holders as a reward, it is being offered again as a reward now, in my opinion it's a scam. As many have said I did not realise the free trial led to a subscription, Shavekit claim it is clearly stated if it is I did not notice. If I can I will attach a photo of the actual advert on Iceland app. The blades arrived in a plain brown envelope, I thought it was my medication prescription when I opened it I was shocked to see razor blades. Shavekit said as I had opened the envelope I could not return the blades, I could not use the blades at that time as I had no Razor to use them with and I did not know the envelope contained blades. There is no wrapping as such on the blades only a plastic bit with a white strip that is still intact in the envelope they came in. Not sure how safe it is to send blades in the post like this. I want my money back I have written to Iceland as well who have said they will look into it. I have now removed the Iceland app from my phone completely. Shavekit sent me emails telling me I could still order blades without a subscription, the blades are awful not worth 10 pence in my opinion, so I unsubscribed from their advertising, which to me is taking the mickey. I have shared my experience on other places now as well. Shavekit told me they might have offered me a refund but because I shared a review they will not, this feels like a way to remove honest reviews from people who don't like the product, a bit like paying for good reviews in reverse. This is my honest personal opinion. I just want others to be aware so they can make an informed decision. In my opinion Shavekit is not worth one star, but no stars is not an option. I am sure Shavekit will respond yet again they don't like honest reviews, customer service is appalling.

I wish I had read the reviews before trialling!

I wish I had read reviews before I ordered! A friend said he had used them and they were very good. Yes the blades were good, but I felt a bit expensive compared with others, so decided against ordering on a regular basis. 3 days ago, £33+ was taken from my credit card after 6 months from the trial. I contacted my credit card company and they said 3 tokens for Shavekit had been placed against my account for future payments. Absolutely No communication from Shavekit!! The bank could not cancel the money for this one but said that I could claim another way. I decided to take the goods and stopped all further payments.
Further to my original long review, I can now say that although I won’t be having a regular order anytime soon, Dan in customer services helped me greatly, so credit due where it should be. Thanks Dan.
I offered some options as how to improve the system.

I have been with Shavekit for 9 years, always received products on time and good value for money.
I have had to discontinue my order for personal and medical reasons.
Ruhama was really helpful with the cancellation process and did not attempt to try to get me to change my mind;

anti consumer company

They make it effortless to sign up for a free trial online, but then frustrate you if you want to cancel the subscription. I've just been scammed out of £13 for a product I didn't order because they subscribed me against my will and frustrated my attempts to cancel.

Amazing, exactly as described.

The quality of the product is really amazing and at a reasonable price too. The website's UI is also really nice and neat. I unfortunately had to cancel my subscription because their quality is too good and I ended up stocked up too much than I actually needed. When calling with the staff, a staff named Ruhama picked it up and was very helpful. The staff didn't pressure me or made me uncomfortable to cancel the subscription or anything. It was a pleasant experience and I am frankly sad to cancel the subscription. Really recommend people to try it out,

Independent shaving experts you can trust (and delay when you need to)

This small independent company provides high quality shaving essentials and a few other related toiletries. I was a customer for 5 years and rate their service highly. The ability to pause your next shipment until you actually need it is excellent. Needing to cancel for other reasons, Ruhama was warm and friendly, and the cancellation was completed and confirmed by email on the call. A company you can trust.
