I ordered a base system from this …

I ordered a base system from this company on 10th March 2017.
I also ordered the timber to go with it, but said I didn`t want any concrete blocks. The meatal base plates arrived about 2 weeks later, what they didn`t tell me was that the timber would arrive 3 days later which I found inconvenient. When the timber did arrive from my local Jewsons they brought some concrete blocks too, which I sent back. This started alarm bells ringing, I decided to check up on the price of the timber from Jewsons to my horror they quoted me half the price of what I had paid shedbases.Had they not sent any blocks I wouldn't had said anything as I trusted that they had fairly charged me. So the moral is if you don't want any blocks they will still charge you for them anyway.
After this I contacted shedbases about the blocks and timber price difference, spoke to a Guy called Ray who admitted that they had over charged me for the blocks and would refund me £36 into my paypal account, this was on 4th April 2017 I even have the e mail confirming the £36. Days and weeks went by,still no refund sent several e mails which they just ignored. In the end we called them saying we will report them to trading standards. Eventually on the 23rd of May they put some money in my account and had a cheek to only put £30 in. This review will probably lose you more than £6 Shedbases.
Would I buy from Shedbases again or recommend them?
Definitely NOT!

In reply to mr Ogdens comments I would suggest that he reads my review properly. He did overcharge me for the blocks, as I have an e mail sent by himself to me clearly saying that we had in error included the blocks whithin the price. I never even suggested that I was put under pressure to accept the quote,i am not so stupid or easily led on.
I accept that the timber would cost more than what I could get it for from Jewsons, but I think charging double is a bit over the top. there is not that much labour and admin involved, its only a matter of calling Jewsons and telling them what you want. And then to blame Jewsons for overcharging when it clearly wasn't their fault. Also Mr Ogden I would like to ask you why you failed to reply to my e mails and messages left on your answering machine from a friend acting on my behalf? in my opinion that's a sign of guilt. And why Mr Ogden did you only refund me £30 instead of £36? again I have the e mail were you said you would refund me £36.
So to summarize, You did NOT fulfil your contract and I think you should hold your hand up and say I made a mistake and I am sorry. Fortunately I have all the e mails to back up what I have just said.
Buyers beware of this company.

Reply from Shedbases

In reply to Mr Gibbons comments, Shedbases.com would like to state the following:- Firstly, we did not overcharge Mr Gibbons, we quoted him a price for a base and a separate price to supply the timbers for the base. Mr gibbons accepted both the prices quoted and paid for the goods as stated. He could have order just the base but chose to order both. It is not correct to compare our timbers price with the merchant because there are labour and admin costs incurred. We calculate the number and sizes of timbers and place to orders with the merchants. At no time did we apply pressure to accept our quotation, other than within the quotation sent to him, a copy of which can be supplied if required. W offered to refund the costs of the concrete blocks as a gesture of good will and subsequently forwarded the refund we had been charged by the merchant, once we had ourselves received a refund from our merchant supplier. We were under no legal obligation to refund monies, as we had supplied the goods stated for the price quoted, and within the timescale quoted. If we are wrong then we deserve comment but in this instance we fulfilled our contract completely and on time. Yours sincerely, Ray Ogden. Sales office.

Great service, quality product.

Used this company when i under took project to build log cabin at back of my garden. I needed an adjustable base for my log cabin and i stumbled across this company whilst browsing the net.
I called the comapany and spoke to the owner who was so helpful in helping me decide what i exactly needed and discussed delivery dates as i needed the products urgently.
The company manufacturers their own product so customisation is possible.
Goods arrived on time with diagram/instructions.
It was so easy to work with these adjustable base clamps.
Highly recommend this company.
