Excellent instruction! I'd highly recommend this course to master the GMAT.

I decided to choose Sherpa for my GMAT prep after receiving several recommendations from friends. I found the classes and materials to be both helpful and engaging. My teacher Erin was very funny and kept each ~3 hour class lively. I also took advantage of the extremely generous office hours each Sunday - awesome perk of the program and a great accountability mechanism. It was also very apparent that Nafeez and his team have put in a TON of effort to curate the materials and strategies needed to tackle the GMAT. They know what is tested on the GMAT test, where students struggle most, and what strategies and 'short-cuts' are necessary to beat the clock and the GMAT. I went from a 520 to a 720...took me 6 months and encouragement from Nafeez, but I did it and it feels so good to see my hard work pay off.

Sherpa's teaching method is effective, and the instructors really invest in the students throughout the test prep process. Instructors are patient, kind, and very experienced. I was hesitant to register for an online course at first, but the course quality was extremely high, and it was nice to have recordings of the classes to reference afterwards. Questions were always answered promptly, and in general the experience was great. I felt like Nasheed was investing in each of us personally!

Sherpa was a lifesaver for the GMAT. As someone who did well on both the ACT and SAT, I was taken back by the difficulty in the GMAT at providing questions that seemed unsolvable or had multiple correct answers. Sherpa (and my instructor Nafeez) showed me how to attack these questions and rip them apart to solve them according to steps and procedures. They provide you with high-level classroom GMAT Techniques, teaching that is supplemented well with reading material. 100/100 would recommend them for anyone looking to get do well on the GMAT and get the advanced education they desire.

I signed up for Sherpa Prep for GMAT based on a google search, a few good reviews online and the fact that they were a local DC business. My lax due diligence did not lead me astray - I have been blown away by the level of support and personalization in the instruction. Small class sizes and engaged teachers who take the time to get to know students means you're essentially getting semi-private tutoring for a fraction of the price. I took the online class (due to COVID), but haven't felt that my experience was any less personal or engaging. There is no reason why you'd have to be in the DC area to take the course.

I have had ups and downs on my GMAT journey, and my teacher has been available for check-ins and motivational talks when I hit low points. He also gives general guidance on the admission process and helps you set realistic targets so you never lose sight of the fact that the GMAT is, in fact, only one piece of the admissions puzzle (something that is easy to forget when you're belly-deep in quant). My husband took a Veritas GMAT class a few years ago (which was a few hundred $ more expensive) and he is constantly commenting on how much he regrets not taking Sherpa Prep based on my experience.

I did zero GMAT studying before signing up for Sherpa (literally didn't even know the format of the test...). I have been able to keep up with class, but I will warn you, it is definitely a lot of work. If you just want to take the GMAT and get it over with, this maybe isn't the course for you. But in my mind, if I'm throwing down a ton of money for a test prep course, I'm going to get as much value out of it as I can, and the Sherpa team has developed an unbelievable amount of content and educational resources that you can't find anywhere else. I genuinely don't believe you can find a better course out there, especially at this price point.

Sherpa Prep is amazing! Nafeez was my instructor and he is incredibly committed to his students' success. Nafeez will go the extra mile for his students, not only getting you through the main study course, but setting up structure for you after the course ends and keeping you within the community for as long as you need. He is able to simplify complex problems and concepts when instructing, but just as importantly, he promotes mental preparedness and positivity throughout the process. From the first class to the final official exam, Sherpa Prep will take you all the way. 10/10 would recommend.

Sherpa Prep is one of the best organizations I've ever associated myself with. They are led by absolute experts in their field that also happen to be caring, genuine people. They take an individualized approach and really get to know you as a person. This sort of relationship proves to be critical both during the test prep and the application consulting phase. The value you get in investing in Sherpa Prep is second to none. They played a HUGE role in me getting into my #1 business school. If you are considering test prep for the GRE or GMAT, you should seriously look nowhere else.

Sherpa Prep is an absolutely incredible tutoring service. They not only gave me a realistic understanding of where I was and the timeline for improvement, but they worked with me every step of the way for over a year to ensure that I was ready to take the test. Not only are the classes engaging and informative, but the prep material, office hours, and one-on-one sessions really solidify your learning. Ultimately my score increased over 100 points from the time I started to when I sat for the official exam. They were also one of the less expensive classes I found in the DC area, so the value for money really can't be beat. I can't recommend Sherpa enough!

I took a course with Sherpa Prep for the GMAT, and they did a great job of covering all portions of the GMAT comprehensively. The instructors were very responsive and helped cater to my individual needs. Nasheed was my instructor and she helped me design a study plan that worked for my schedule and helped me adjust this at each check-in.
I also used Sherpa for help with my business school application. I decided to apply last minute (literally 5 days before applications were due), and Sherpa went above and beyond to help go through multiple rounds of edits on my short answers, essay, resume, and other admissions-related forms. Nafeez and Nasheed both put their busy schedules aside to make time for my last-minute application. They helped my essay go from generic to including lots of details about my personal work/education experiences. My application was 100% better because of their help, and I highly recommend these services.

I truly think Sherpa Prep is the best GMAT prep that exists. The training materials are smart and insightful, and the courses teach you invaluable skills to prepare for the test day and beyond.

I can not say enough good things about Sherpa Prep's GMAT prep course! What sets them apart from the rest of the field - especially all of the large-scale companies - is the community feel and the personal attention from the instructors. It's not just class and then you're on your own ... there's a detailed plan for once the course is complete, helpful weekly office hours, and status check-ins with instructors. Enrolling in Sherp Prep's GRE course was one of the best decisions I made in my graduate school preparation process. Tae was a fantastic and direct instructor - no fluff, just the good stuff. The Sherpa Prep curriculum was very clearly structured and the instructional content was thorough and rigorous. Well worth the cost for those needing a top score on their GRE.

I would have not been here without Sherpa. Their content is fantastic and made me increase my GMAT score from 540 to 710!!. But Sherpa is much more than the content. From the first class you attend, you are treated as part of a community and are graced with instructors that truly care about your development. Other instructional companies treat you as another number in the system and do not invest anywhere near the same of time in your success. The comprehensive course at Sherpa goes far beyond just the basic lessons and teaches how to think and take a test. This huge difference puts you at a massive advantage against your peers outside Sherpa. Additionally, Sherpa offers retakes of classes if you miss them due to work/life obligations, making the whole experience laid back. Sherpa's GMAT prep course is simply awesome! It covers various concepts and techniques with repetition to help reinforce those concepts. My course ended up moving online due to the pandemic situation and I was a little concerned but immediately, I felt the online course was just as interactive and effective as if it were in person. Nafeez is great and really cares about his students and provides so much extra support on top of the course including quick chats and guidance on the process as well which is added value that you just can't beat.

Nafeez and the rest of his team at Sherpa Prep are your go to test prep gurus in the DMV. Nafeez was my instructor at the Clarendon location (Sherpa has three convenient locations and online too). Nafeez is a true people person and he definitely bends over backwards for his students. His teaching methods are very engaging and it's almost like he is just teaching you. He will make sure that you succeed on the GMAT and beyond. Sherpa also provides free extras that you simply won't find with other big-box test prep companies. You have access to group tutoring weekly for any homework questions that you don't understand. Throughout your GMAT/GRE journey the company provides many opportunities to connect with grad schools in the area and for you to get out there. There is no need to look any further for your test prep needs, Sherpa has got you all the way!! Additionally, the whole Sherpa Prep team is availability virtually 24/7. Honestly, I don't even know if they sleep. It gets even better, though my chats with Nafeez I have learned so much about my abilities and my prep journey has been extremely long. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. You worried about getting into your dream school? You worried about that your test scores aren't good enough? Your dream will become reality and you will get into that dream school of yours. I applied to Syracuse, Rice, UVA, McCombs and Wake Forest. Today, I got into my #1, McIntire School of Commerce.

I am quite happy with my experience with Sherpa Prep. Sherpa was cheaper than all the other in-person services I considered, and offered excellent teaching and instruction. Nafeez Amin was my instructor. He kept the classes entertaining, which is invaluable when you are taking a three-hour class after a full work day on a Tuesday. Lots of tough love and insights into the overall application process kept me motivated both during and outside class. I appreciated the many avenues of support like class repeats and office hours that remain open to students after the course has wrapped up.
