As a driver for shipt it amaze me how when you do an order in another state close to you and item is not available all they want to give you is $5 for your time when driving to location could cost more then that five they award such a pain in the rear to work for a company that doesn’t value the shopper gas or time when clearly they can see where you coming and going from in the app make it make sense pay the shopper more for cancel order that’s is time waste and gas as well and wonder why they have so many promo going to try to keep driver wanting to drive it’s not worth the hassle

Traverse City MIchigan Meijer Shipt Personal Shopper

Traverse City MIchigan Meijer. Her name is Macy a personal shopper that turned out to be a nightmare. Meijer ended up refunding the entire order after this person somehow racked up 16 packages of lunchmeat when we only ordered 2 . I caught the mistake and told Macy not to proceed they are way overcharging and it’s for my 90 year old mom. Macy refused to stop, or call to try and correct the situation, would not reason, and then proceeded in a text chain that Shipt can see say things like” why don’t you get off your lazy ass and shop yourself?” Another good one was “ I didn’t know if was an old lady until yr dumb ass said something, if anything you are a scammer.” Shipt does not align with Meijer. Not by far. Meijer needs to rethink their subcontractor that is doing this. It was a reflection of Meijer. Meijer did something about it. Shipt was the problem and just seems they can do better than have a company that has such low standards. Plus you have to call to a foreign country to get help and can barely understand them. UGH! Not a convenience, not by far.

Delayed every hour until I cancelled

I placed my order early afternoon and when placed my order was scheduled to arrive at 3-4pm. I received messages every hour until I finally cancelled that it was delayed last time from 8-9pm. If I wouldn’t have cancelled I don’t think I would have seen it for I don’t know how long. Soooo disappointed I could have ordered else where and have had my items. Deleted app!

Deactivated

After working for Shipt for almost a year, I was unexpectedly deactivated by not following "guidelines," even after receiving excellent ratings and compliments from customers. I have had zero issues with DD, IC, GH, or other delivery companies and I've been consistently one of their top performing drivers. Shipt for some reason always complained about my performance and gave me vague reasoning except 'not following guidelines' or keeping my performance up to their standards (4.7 at all times). And if you try to appeal, don't waste your time. 99.9% chance you'll get denied, just like everyone else says. Good riddance, I'll provide my services elsewhere.

Terrible.

If I could give no stars I would. We’ve been getting deliveries without issue from the other major carriers for years. Despite the stories I’ve heard from a number of other people and against my better judgement, I ordered from the local Target. Shipt apparently is who they go through and my order was pushed back 6 times. I called and asked what the issue was, got no direct answer or solution. It was then pushed back a few more times before they finally said “due to technical issues we’ve cancelled the order.” I ordered through Uber eats and got it delivered within the hour. I’ll never use them again.

Says delivered and was dropped off at the wrong house, Called customer support and due to GPS setting that they are saying that it was delivered to the correct address, but the picture provided by the shipper - was in fact a wrong house... I don't think I'll use same day delivery from Target ever again

Feels like a scam at this point – orders “delivered” but never show up

I’m honestly done with Shipt.

I’ve used Shipt for Target deliveries for a while, and I was willing to put up with the random cancellations here and there. Annoying, but whatever. Lately though, it’s gone from inconvenient to straight-up suspicious.

These past few orders, the app keeps saying my items have been delivered when I have received absolutely nothing.
• One time it claimed my order was delivered to “a little girl wearing pink” and said there was a photo to prove it. I couldn’t even view the picture. I don’t know who that kid is, but it’s definitely not my house and not my order.
• The most recent order was even worse. The shopper took a picture of a cart inside the store with my items mixed in with what looked like his own stuff, marked it as “delivered,” and that was it. The cart was clearly still inside Target. Nothing ever showed up at my door.

So where are my orders going? Because they’re definitely not coming to me.

At this point, it feels like a scam. I’m seriously questioning whether Shipt even does proper background checks on their shoppers or if they just let anyone sign up. From my experience, my orders are basically being stolen and I’m left fighting with support for refunds instead of getting what I paid for.

I’m tired of paying for the convenience of delivery just to deal with fake “delivered” updates, missing items, and zero real accountability. Until they fix this mess and actually ensure drivers are honest and properly vetted, I won’t be using Shipt again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

BEWARE of SHIPT.They need to be shut down they are by far the worst company I've ever dealt with

Horrible...Claire and Grace were the customer service agents i dealt with. I had to reach out to customer service when my order didnt arrive at 9pm when scheduled. I received a message at 10pm informing me my delivery time was changed to next day. 9am-11am. Since the delivery wouldnt work the next day i called so i could figure out if i needed to reschedule or cancel the order. Since the money was already taken out of my account i needed to know how long it would be before it was returned. Grace was the worst. She was not a competent or helpful customer agent. Everytime i asked to speak to a manager she would say that the manager was going to say the same thing. Then she said there was no manager to talk to. Then she said her system was malfunctioning and that she would call me back...of course she didnt. I called back and Claire was the next agent. She was better and tried to get me over to manager but management declined to speak with me. I kept asking for a manager they pretty much kept refusing. Then put me on hold for an hour and never got me over to a manager. Probably hoping I would hang up. Between both phone calls i probably spent 3 hours on hold cumulatively. Just to n told i cant speak to any/manager that can help me or resolve this issue. By far as a company the worst customer service i have ever dealt with. They leave there employees and customers equally unsupported. I will never use them again and I will tell anyone who will listen to not use them.

Recent Shipt Shopper

Recent Shipt Shopper - I was a shopper for maybe 2.5 mo (Sept - Nov 2025). For the most part I enjoyed being able to earn some extra money on the side and provide wonderful customer service. Back in the day I was a hostess/delivery driver/server/bartender for a popular restaurant + years of 1:1 patient care experience. This line of work was a cake walk. My issues stem from the app's poor design, the inability to cancel already claimed orders when emergencies arise, the inability to fully process a customer's order due to technical issues, being dinged for potential or actual late deliveries even with the consistent & prompt communication to every customer I was shopping for and the lack of quick customer support, and lastly the MASSIVE false advertising behind an items availability.

I was strategic and picky with the orders I picked up for several reasons all stemming from not wanting to provide crappy service. There have been countless times I am shopping a double order and one or both of the customers are not responding to the product alternatives I have sent them. Having to stand around and wait for a response is a pain in itself b/c I am risking delivering an order late b/c the lack of effort from certain customers. In particular, last night a customer ordered an Apple watch SE. I get to the store and wait for nearly 10-15 mins for the assoc. to check the back room, she comes back to tell me all 6 of the Apple watches would not be delivered until the next day 11/21/25. I sent 2 chat messages to this customer within a 15-20 time span. He didn't respond top me until 5:55pm. Mind you I had already started running around to shop for the 2nd customer's order. I also explained in detail why I had to mark this order as 'could not find' due to my conversation from the store assoc.

By the time I see his 1st response come in, I'm driving to the 2nd customer's house. I made 5 attempts to process the 1st order but was unable to due to me later learning that Shipt does not allow shoppers to cancel ANY order that contains 1 item. We have to call support and wait for them to handle it on their end. So for the hour next 1.5 hours of me shopping for other orders trying to get these deliveries out on time, the 1st customer is still messaging me understandly wanting a further explanation. Once I finally got to a safe place and was not driving I called support to rectify this situation. I took screenshots with the time stamps of when initially messaged the 1st customer as well as the error messaging I kept seeing when I was trying to process the order. I check my email during my lunch break to see that my account was deactivated due to failing to meet the expectations for 50% of my deliver history.

I was beyond adamant about consistently communicating to customers what issues I was facing in addition to uncontrollable matters (i.e., long checkout lines, traffic, inclimate weather, etc.) b/c I never wanted to be that shopper that did a piss poor job. If the store is out of stock of a particular item, there should be ZERO reason customers are able to select and purchase said item via Shipt!!! This app/company has an immeasurable amount of problems to fix for both the customer and the shoppers who actually care about their rep. I was going to submit an appeal but I don't care to deal this kind of headache again.

They deactivated my account and didn't send me all my tips I was receiving my tips information to my phone and I never received it its been 2 weeks and still shipt is a heartless company to work for they don't care about they driver's at all they don't even try to give you a chance

Will not use again

Will not use again. They promise no mark ups and try to lead with discounts if you spend a certain amount. My card was authorized for more than the order which is fine but after they tried to charge my card for additional monies. There goes my discount for using there service.

Terrible experience!!!!

A 1 star rating because zero is not available. Specific instructions to deliver to door with the blue lightbulb. I’m handicapped. Groceries were delivered to a door that has a big sign that reads please deliver to the other door. She threw our sign in the bushes, left our groceries in the dirt, took a picture showing it was delivered and I had to pay my neighbor to carry all the food to my door. Second similar problem with Shipt. No tip! Again! She wasted her time driving to the store, shopped, bagged the groceries, drove to my house, threw my sign in the bushes and left my food in the dirt. Terrible experience!!!!!!!!!

Undelivered order.

I placed an order for medicines for my sick child. The delivery window was 3-4 pm. The shopper had excellent communication with me and told me he’d be about 1/2 hour late. I received notice that my order was delivered at around 4:40 pm. I went to my front door and there’s nothing. I look at link foto and it was delivered at a different place. I text the shopper and tell him I don’t have my delivery. It was dropped elsewhere. He says he’s sorry and what can he do? I told him to to fix it would be nice. I paid for things I didn’t get. The text thread became inactive.
I contacted shipt customer service. The lady said I’m sure he made a mistake, it’s not like he dropped at wrong location on purpose. What would you like us to do? I said, you could retrieve it and drop off at the correct address or replace it and drop of asap. I don’t have my order. She said let me put you on hold see what we can do. I was on hold for 20 minutes and then phone call was terminated. I will not be using this service again. I can’t believe the shopper or customer service had to ask what do you want me to do?
I can’t believe they couldn’t immediately come to a solution and that they’d just leave it unresolved. $65.00 with nothing to show for it. I hope to go to target as soon as my child is better and complain to their customer service get a refund.

Avoid - orders delayed by 8+ hours, sometimes by a day, sometimes just canceled. Customer service is AWFUL.

SHIPT CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

Orders are often delayed many, many times. I placed an order at 11:20am for delivery 1-2pm. I selected "yes" to "Deliver as early as 12pm."

The order has now been delayed four times (3-4pm, 5-6pm, 7-8pm), with a current estimate of 8-9pm. Last time, they delayed my order for 11 hours before pushing it to the next day.

Customer service never does anything to help - they just say "thank you for the feedback, we're sorry."

Nobody accepts responsibility to do anything to help. They blame order to shopper counts. As customers, that isn't our concern. We place an order with Shipt and they promise a delivery time which they know they can't honor. Their algorithm is on them, not some other random entity. They have nobody to blame but themselves.

While I appreciate the service and many of the really wonderful shoppers, the cost is ridiculous! The other day i was charged $7.89 for a 24 oz box of raisin bran!! The cost should have been closer to $2.25!! It's outrageous!!
