Use a different company!

If you want an inaccurate estimate and pay a thousand more than you are promised, by all means use this company. They'll tell you if you add a couple things the price won't change. Once you pay the initial payment and your stuff is on the move, the operator will not respond to you anymore. Especially that guy Blake. He's a scam artist. I tried calling with a different number and they blatantly hung up. By the time they are ready to deliver, they told me the street is too narrow and tried to charge me 500 more. The street was wide enough cause it had 2 lanes. Then when it came to the destination they left my stuff in the lobby of the building and didn't bother to deliver it to my apartment. Awful company. On top of that some of my stuff are broken. Use a different company! I couldn't stress it enough.

Avoid this company

Save yourself a ton of aggravation and find a reputable moving company.
Worst experience of my life in dealing with any company. Cost was 3 times the estimate but to be fair, the load was based on cubic feet and we had more than the the original estimate but when the truck arrived, my calculated number based on truck size and how full it was came far short of what they charged. They would not give a delivery date which ended up to be 18 days. Called the wrong number to notify us when they arrived.
They didn't return phone calls.

Absolute worst experience

Absolute worst experience. Was screwed by Tommy. Said the reviews are bad but how they handle them is what makes it a good company. The day I agreed I never heard from him again until I called from a new number. Move destroyed majority of our stuff and I did most of the physical labor because they didn’t have enough movers. We waited 4 months for an insurance claim that returned 300 dollars when thousands were damaged. This company is absolute trash. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

If I was able I would give negative review this is the worst company ever, do not trust this company not only did they charge us 13,000 my 3000 tv was broken, all our boxes were destroyed, they say they will put together all furniture well they lost all our bed frames screws, mattress and tons of irreplaceable stuff, the contracted another 3rd party and they had no idea where anything was and couldn't answer any questions and the best part is you must pay them before seeing if any of your stuff is damaged or they hold your belongings hostage, infidelity van lines is where this all started do not trust any of them

The sales rep gave me a quote of 2500…

The sales rep gave me a quote of 2500 dollars and i was required to pay 30% upfront(775) before the scheduled pickup date. The driver came and told me my items will take more space than the cubic feet that was quoted on phone so my new cost will be 4700 dollars. I refused to agree to that because i made sure i sent all pictures to the sales guy to give the best accurate quote. So the driver left and since then I tried to get the refund of my deposit. I was even given a receipt of the refund and 3 weeks later I haven’t gotten any refund in my account which means i was given a fake quickbooks refund receipt. I have being calling since then and they never picked my calls

DO NOT USE S H MOVERS

Please oh please...DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY. They swindled me for $1000. Which I paid extra for 5 day delivery. The truck showed up almost 3 weeks LATE. Some of my stuff was broken. The movers absolutely did not care at all. Listen moving is stressful enough, please do your homework on moving companies. I truly wish I did. Stay away from the shysters. I called, I emailed, left multiple messages for this company to call me back and I heard nothing but crickets. Shame on them!!!

SH Movers lost my coffee table

SH Movers lost my coffee table. During the move, they had to change trucks because the one they loaded my furniture on broke down. During that process, they didn’t load my coffee table on the truck that eventually delivered the rest of my furniture. Upon delivery of my other furniture, the driver stated my coffee table was at their warehouse. When I called the company, they confirmed it was in the warehouse and they would call when they had another truck going to my area. After months of calling they now state they don't have my table. Now they won't take my phone calls and are not following up with their warehouse manager to see where my coffee table is. They stated they would email a claim form which they have not done. What really sucks is they are screening my calls and refuse to call back to settle this issue. I called them from my phone, which they let go to voice mail, then I immediately called from another phone, which they answered. They have poor customer services skills and do not work to resolve issues. If they had the foresight and called their warehouse manager in the beginning to see where my coffee table was, then this issue could be resolved by now. This table was my mother's table who died of COVID in January, so it is a special table for me.

This is our 4th interstate move in nine years and we have never been more upset and disillusioned by a moving company. This move was coast to coast from New York to California. Starting with the basic facts that they touted being a carrier and not a broker, they hired another company to move us. They had given us an estimate for the move and the week before the move adjusted the estimate (higher!) than the initial one after my husband walked room to room and described what was in each one. They did not give us an opportunity to have someone come to the house to give an estimate based on what they say. That was our mistake to not require it! Please, make sure that you have your movers give an estimate with a visit to your home.

Once the movers came, they loaded the truck and then told us that there is too much stuff and they would need to return the next day with another truck. They charged extra for the second truck and TRIPLED the price of the estimate. (Seriously, initial estimate was $7,800 adjusted to $8546.62 with a final price of $18,390!) To top it off, when my husband negotiated the driver said that the total will be $15,000 (still, twice the initial price) and it turned out that it was the remaining balance after our deposit.

Once the second truck arrived, they still did not fit all of our items and we were left with a need to get rid of items that we had intended on bringing, which we now need to replace.

Once the movers arrived in California, they unloaded the truck. There were many broken items (chairs, LOTS of broken dishes) and most of the boxes were crushed (!!!) including wardrobe boxes, major dents to the refrigerator, box freezer and metal tool boxes. The movers were supposed to assemble our three beds. My husband took the lead on assembling the King sized bed when they were completely overwhelmed by it. They also left numerous boxes in the yard and didn’t even bring them into the house, and left garbage in front of the house.

Of course, the movers had us sign documents the night before they left. There was NO WAY to assess damages or to know what, if anything, was missing. We ended up with someone else’s items (this man was smart enough to have his business card attached to one item) so I was able to contact him. No idea where our missing items are.

I have contacted the company and gotten no response.

RUN! SH Movers is a fraudulent company

SH Movers is a fraudulent company, associated with Your Professional Movers in California. They often times get work through other moving companies or brokers who later try to separate themselves from SH Movers and My Professional Movers. My story is just like the rest of these nightmares. You basically jack up your price on the day of pick-up and then disappear with your belongings. We have been over 4 weeks without any real contact with the company and no calls back. When you ask the dispatcher for a supervisor, they are always unavailable or the give you a number that is never answered. Both of these companies are fraudulent companies.
The best place to start is with the Better Business Bureau, The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and a civil attorney. These companies, sub-contracted by companies like Value Added Movers, write contracts to discourage the consumers from taking earlier legal action. By the time you think there is a problem, you haven't documented anything. Your money is long gone-- with your belongings in an undisclosed warehouse in Irvine, Ca.

I want to do a class action lawsuit…

I want to do a class action lawsuit against this company. After reading the reviews its been three weeks. I still haven't gotten my furniture. They charged me an extra $1,400 dollars when they came to pick up my furniture. I had no choice because I already signed a contract and gave over a $587.00 deposit though zelle. They have all my new furniture over $10,000 dollars worth. Plus all my deceased mother and father family things that was special to me. They lied and said they moved the furniture themselves come to find out they contract it out. You can't get them on the phone after they get you to sign up with them. They fu...ked with the wrong one. Just got a lawyer involved. Will be contacting the media as well. Anyone want to sue please do so they need to be stopped. Please don't use sh movers. Scam and rip off. Its cruel what they are doing to people.

I did not want to trust the bad reviews…

I’m editing to say it’s now 2 weeks since the movers picked up my stuff in NY and I still don’t know where my stuff is.

I did not want to trust the bad reviews and chose to just see the good ones. Huge mistake!! Booking with them was great, I felt very comfortable with my choice. They asked for a third of my payment at booking, a third at pick up and a third upon delivery at my new address. They wanted payment through Zelle. Said someone would call me two days before move to confirm and no one called me back. I called the number on the contract and have left messages and I’ve still to hear back from them. Please save your hard earn money and stay away from this moving company. Moving is already stressful, moving out of state is even more stressful and this people are adding even more stress

If I could give them zero stars I would. Absolute scam.

I scheduled a move, and my experience setting it up with the sales person was very pleasant, but it was all downhill from there. On the day they were supposed to come get our stuff, they never showed and never called. We called them and were told the driver was sick so it would be the next day. The next day came, and once again they didn't call or show up. We had to call and were this time told that the truck broke down and it would be the next day. The next day came and they never called or showed up AGAIN. They took my deposit, and just never showed up. They don't communicate anything, they almost never pick up the phone, and they will take your money and not perform the service promised. Ten out of ten don't recommend. I was told I would get my deposit back, and that was weeks ago and I still haven't. I'm going to have to dispute the charge as fraud.

TL;DR: Don't waste your time or money with this scam.

Do NOT used this company

Do NOT used this company! Once they came to my place they started charging me extra fees. 90% of my items came damaged. They’ve changed their name 8 times and had multiple complaints by many people along with legal claims. They work with Limitless relocation and that company doesn’t even tell you sh movers will be getting your stuff. Please do not use. Don’t go through the headache my fiancé and I are going through.

Don't trust the fake good reviews. They'll steal your belongings.

Our family scheduled a move with them from California to Utah. They gave us a really good price and when we looked at the reviews we were excited and paid a $500 advance.

Then came the nightmare. They just decided to not answer calls, show up or anything at all. READ THEIR CONTRACT WHICH REQUIRES YOU TO MAIL A REFUND REQUEST WITHIN 5 DAYS AND EVEN THEN THEY CAN JUST KEEP YOUR MONEY.

A PHYSICAL, WRITTEN REQUEST IS WHAT THEY REQUIRE.

Total Scam!

Worst moving company ever

Worst moving company ever. They charge you $1000 extra from quote. They told me you will get your stuff in 3 days. Total b.s. I received almost 3 weeks. Please don't give your hard earned money to this company. Staff was rude while delivering my stuff and asking for more tips and extra money. Do not trust them with your furniture.

Sales Hiding Logistical Nightmare

The sales process was great...but it has to be to cover up what a customer experiences once the deposit has been paid. I worked with James Whitlock on my estimate. He vastly underestimated the space my items would take up so once the team arrived to pick up my stuff, my actual costs went up by 25%. The team who packed my stuff was lead by Rafe and he was great. He and his team were professional, proactively communicated with me, kept their time commitments and were efficient once on site. Rafe was the only person in this entire company who would return my texts and calls. After my stuff was picked up, I had to call the dispatch team multiple times to try to get updates. They told me it wasn't their job to know where my stuff is and would have to call the driver to get an update. Dispatch never once answered my call the first time (enjoy their condescending voicemail message) and only occasionally deigned to call me back stating that they do not work weekends. I finally got the cell number of the truck driver (who works for an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT COMPANY) who promised a delivery of Saturday morning 3 weeks post pick up. Despite no proactive updates from him, I was able to reach him a few times only to find my delivery date and time to be pushed back 4 times over the course of one weekend. Finally on Sunday night, 2 hours later than the most recent delivery time (7p on a Sunday! Unbelievable!), I find out that my stuff is not actually on the truck in my city...it was 650 miles away. Rafe took returned my texts despite a very late Sunday night and said there had been a problem with whatever company actually delivers the customer's items. Again, I had to call to get my delivery information, rather than the driver or the company calling me. Again, the delivery was pushed from Saturday evening to Sunday morning. To top it all, the driver was 2 hours late and was ALONE. He told me it'd take him 2 hours to unpack and reassemble my items...it took ME, MY BROTHER AND him 2.5 hours to unpack it all. I have still not been called back by James or Renee at dispatch nor anyone else. What a disaster. If I knew this nightmare was going to be half as bad as it actually was, I would have spent the money on moving myself. To boot, an item was broken and SH Movers contracts the claims process out to another company just like they do the delivery. Use any other company or drive your stuff yourself.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, unless you like minimal communication on where your items are. If you like to have 5-6 different delivery dates given to you for a weekend delivery then find out your stuff is in another city, use this company. If your original quote increases by 20-30% when they show up to pack and move your goods, even though you haven’t added anything to your inventory, then use this company. They have no idea where your items are and get loads mixed up. The driver is not the problem here, it is a lack of logistical expertise on the company. 2 individuals stand out, Rafe and Kanet. They did return calls and tried to help locate the load. Kanet, the driver was alone driving and unloading. What kind of company expects a driver to unload by themselves-SH Movers apparently does. It took 2 hours with him, my son and daughter all unloading the truck-would have been double the time without the additional help. When you call the company, the voicemail box is always full and you cannot leave a message. There has to be a company that does moving well, but it is not SH Movers and James and Renee are unresponsive to calls for assistance. Save yourself the aggravation and find a different company.

DO NoT USE this company as I have made a huge mistake hiring this so called movers. This company doesn't even move the stuff, they are double brokering loads and passing on to God knows who and no one is answering their calls or emails when reaching out to them about my household goods. I'm getting ready to file a missing freight report and have DOT get involved due to the fact it has been over 21 days per their term that I still haven't received my stuff, nor they're giving me any answers as to where their so called driver is, who is not even SH movers driver or even responding back to me. No word as to when I might get my stuff, which has been picked up over a month ago and no one is answering their calls or emails. Again do your homework people, do not trust this company or do business with them, unfortunately I truly regret for not checking on them first.

Terrible terrible terrible service

Terrible terrible terrible service! Do not use!

Price doubled on pick up. Was told property would be delivered within 3-7 days (only 10 hours away from the pick up) and I'm now nearly 30 days later with nothing in site, no date when things will be delivered and repeated misdirection. My things are supposedly on a truck. I could have driven my things one by one and saved a lot of money.
