Not worth the stress

Bought tickets in good faith, but the event was canceled. They agreed to a refund and nearly two months later, I’m still chasing it. Honestly, save yourself the stress. Don’t use them. It’s just not worth it.

Wheres my refund

On the 24 August an event I bought a ticket for via Shoobs was cancelled. They emailed to say a refund would be sent 10 days later. No refund has been sent and it is now the end of September. I have emailed Shoobs 3 times and no response.

Part of the network of scammers who allow clubs and events to be advertised and when you get to the event it turns out something else. They will demand evidence thinking you failed to take evidence. Once I sent them the evidence(videos), they went mute on your refund. Please go through your bank to take your money back and don’t patronise them again. After more than a decade of patronage, this is the conclusion I’ve come with and from today onwards , I will never engage with them. Helping clubs such as LA lounge to scam people

Shockingly poor.

Shockingly poor.

So much so that you can't believe they're this incompetent and, instead, are simply dishonest.

Despite buying tkts in Sept for a Christmas event, I heard nothing until two days before the concert, telling me they hoped I would enjoy myself and that if I hadn't received my tkts to click on a link. I did. I heard nothing, so I sent an email. Heard nothing. On the day of the event, I was sent an email telling me that I had already received the tickets - two days ago, a total lie! - - but here they were again.

I wont use them again. I suggest you don't either.

I purchased four tickets for an event through shoobs. The organisers cancelled the event. Shoobs kept all of the money. I have requested a full refund and shoobs have not responded. The event was 7th September. I am still awaiting a refund.

Cancelled event, they don't refund booking fees.

Bought tickets was charged £15 for booking fees, the event was cancelled however apparently terms and conditions say booking fees are not refundable. Silly considering we're paying fees to attend an event, if cancelled, the other party which cancelled the event should pay any fees for whatever part shoobs had to do with selling the tickets, not the customers.

Taking money of people for them not to be attending any event is theft to me. At least allow the amount to be credited to our accounts for another event or something. From now on if I see an event I'd like to attend I will search and see if I can buy it from anywhere else but shoobs because it just isn't justifiable.

Also to top it off they didn't even notify me that the event was cancelled or offer me a refund. I found out through social media that Tekno had cancelled and had to reach out to shoobs myself and ask what was going on with tickets and our money. Cancellations have happened before with other sites in the past and they have always reached out first and refunded in FULL. Wish I saw all these reviews before my purchase.

Avoid at all costs

Bought tickets to an event advertised on shoobs.com at Bar a Bar Stoke Newington, London. When we turned up to the venue we were refused entry, whoever was on the door said there was a private event happening and tickets shouldn’t even have been sold. We asked for a refund, the bar told us to take it up with shoobs.com. Shoobs did nothing. We explained the situation, they said they couldn’t refund us without confirming with the venue. They later replied saying the venue denied this had happened. We obviously disagreed, asked to speak with management or someone who could help. Our subsequent emails were ignored. Avoid buying tickets through shoobs.com if you can. Pay the slightly higher on the door fee or use a better more reliable vendor like DICE, Eventbrite etc. Its horrible how prevalent scams are today, and businesses like shoobs.com appear to be the more refined operations.

If I could give 0 I will. They are scammers! Even if you pay for ticket protection they will not give your money to you. Therefore, avoid them at all costs and don’t bother paying for ticket protection because you won’t get your money back. They’ll say your reasoning is not part of the t&c for the protection of your ticket(s) and if you do get tickets just don’t waste your money for protection of tickets because their t&c is ridiculous - there’s no point.

AVOID these crooks at all costs

Terrible website complete rip off merchants pay at the door it'll be cheaper and if their site glitches and your tickets get lost they will say they'll look into the problem and give you a refund then completely ghost you.
I purchased tickets on this site which were never was emailed to me or appeared in the ticket section on the website. When I contacted customer service they made out like they had sent the tickets by email which was a lie. I proved this with screenshots. Once they received my screenshots they said they would contact the organisers of the event and get back to me....... Two weeks later still no response from them. They are complete crooks. Also they allow anyone to post an event on their site which means you could literally buy tickets to a house party with no security made to look like a legitimate rave on their shady site. AVOID at all costs, they're better sites such as Eventbrite that don't keep up with their shenanigans. Also paying at the door on the events they promote is much cheaper. You can spend £15 on shoobs but pay £10 at that door they are such crook's. I will NEVER give a penny to this shady site again.

Thieves

Thieves
Thieves. Avoid this company if you don't want your night ruined a day then to be patronised by customer support.

Bought a ticket at 3.25pm and received my ticket at 1.25am when it was too late to get into the venue.

I have evidence that I received it at 1.25am all I received from customer service was.

"Did you check your junk and here's a FAQ how to log into the website and get your ticket" I'm not an idiot and also I've got tickets from you in the past which you would be able to see if you actually researched into what went wrong on your end and why was it sent at 1.25am clearly something wrong with your system.

The email with my ticket was received at 1.25am which clearly says in the email header.

Personally if it was just about the money I wouldn't be bothered as luckily it was not a premium event but after the shocking customer service stating simply they can't refund even though I paid YOU to provide me a ticket and you did not do the simple thing on time YOU are at fault. Not the event runner or anyone else YOU.

You basically stole my money for nothing and that makes it unacceptable. Therefore I have to make sure others do go down the same path.

Please avoid using shoobs.com for any event tickets; and if you do and you genuinely paid and come across a problem don't expect any help from them they will blame you and patronise you with "DID YOU READ THE FAQ".

Shocking company;

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

There refund policy is very unfair

There refund policy is very unfair, and unintentionally(unless?) protects fraudulent event organizers.

Also, one of the few e-tickets I purchased mysteriously didn't include some of the benefits mentioned on the website, so I think that will make getting a refund even harder.

--

Now the main problem. The event organizer false advertised which doesn't matter to Shoobs because only the host can green light the refund, and the event stewards seemingly made a mistake and didn't scan some of the barcodes, so Shoobs is also using that to drag out the process.

25th birthday party horribly organised by ReleaseDRiddim, Shoobs, and The London Boat Party. Premium tickets for table and extras. Staff were arguing. My friends and i were kept waiting for 45mins to be seated and left to our own devices. Cake and ice in ice bucket was melted. Not everyone in my group had a seat or a glass which had to be requested on multiple occasions. Staff did not care about other customers being sick on the boat. I asked for a partial refund and got nothing back apart from an apology. Really disappointing and would no recommend. I was embarrassed having bought my friends there.
