Don’t order anything if you need it delivered within a couple of weeks
I ordered several items for Christmas on 2nd December 2022 and received an automated email confirmation straight away.
I needed one of the items for my Secret Santa gift by 15th December, but by 8th December I hadn’t received any further communication so followed up by email to ask what was happening.
By 12th December I still hadn’t heard anything so I sent another email and, after a few hours with still no reply, I tried to contact them by phone. On the third attempt I was able to leave a message. A CPFC representative (from an unknown number) phoned back shortly afterwards and told me that I needed to phone a different number for the shop (i.e. not the number that was listed on their website for the shop!). I did so and was told by the person who answered that, to my relief, my order had been despatched.
The next day (13th December) I finally received an email reply, but it stated “Please allow up to 7-10 working days for your order to be dispatched. Your order is currently on the 9th working day and has not been dispatched yet. Your package will be aimed to be dispatched tomorrow on a tracked 24 service.”. So, it hadn’t been despatched after all!
I didn’t receive any further communication until 15th December at 13:26 (two days later, working day 11). The email stated that my order had been despatched, but it was too late for me; I had already waited in all morning in the hope that the package might still be delivered before I had to leave for my team’s Christmas lunch. It wasn’t, therefore I had to buy an additional Secret Santa gift on my way to the restaurant so that I didn’t turn up empty handed.
I thought that placing my order over two weeks before I needed the items would have been enough time; it is for all the other companies I’ve ordered from, and I only bought two mugs, a 2023 calendar, and an annual, none of which were listed as “out of stock” on the website. The products themselves were fine, as was the packaging, but I’m extremely disappointed by the service and I won’t be ordering from them again.
