Worst online shopping experience – no shipment, no refund, useless customer service

I ordered three coats from Mango’s online shop on 30 November, with an estimated delivery time of 8–10 days due to Black Friday. The order never shipped and the status did not change for days, even after the delivery window had clearly passed.

Because I urgently needed the coat, I bought it in a local shop and then tried to cancel the online order, but the website would not let me cancel, even though the order had not shipped. I left it for a few days, assuming it would either arrive or eventually be cancelled, but nothing happened and the status remained unchanged.

I then contacted customer service via their chat and the AI system made it almost impossible to get proper help – it was one of the most frustrating and unhelpful customer service experiences I have ever had. When I finally reached a human agent, the connection was suddenly cut. I had to reconnect, explain everything again to another agent, and was told the case would be referred to the relevant department to cancel the order and issue a refund within about two days.

More than 10 days later, the order still has not shipped and I still have not received my money back. For someone who shops online regularly, this is by far the worst customer experience to date. I already regret buying the coat in a physical Mango store and giving them my money, considering how little respect they show their customers.

At this point, I will never buy from Mango again, online or in-store, and I have already shared my experience with friends so they can avoid the same problems. I am now contacting my credit card company in the hope of getting my money back, since Mango has failed to resolve the issue or even provide basic, reliable communication.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. They have no email and resort to using chat bots or Whatsapp. It took me going round in circles to speak to a human.
Their returns process is a shambles. I requested a return and they told me they would email me a QR code to take to the drop off point, but I didn't receive any email after 3 days.

One star is one too many

One star is one too many!
Still the company is saying two different things to me and can’t give me a carrier name … even though my parcel is now with the carrier!
Sick of the lies I’ve been told now and want nothing more to do with Mango. If you have any sense you won’t either!
How can anyone refuse a parcel that’s not going to their address? Please I’d genuinely love to know how I could do that!!!

the worst

I returned a coat that cost £59.99, but I later received an email stating that I had returned a handbag worth £29.99 instead. I contacted customer service, and they asked me to provide proof of delivery, which I did. Today, I received a refund of £29.99—so where is the remaining money?

This situation is honestly unbelievable. I regret not checking the reviews here before making a purchase. I will never buy anything from this company again. Now, I have to continue chasing CS to investigate this issue for me. If they don't refund the remaining money to me, it's a SCAM!

Shockingly Poor Service – Charged for an Item They Never Sent

I’ve had an awful experience with Mango and feel completely let down. My order wasn’t processed until I chased them several times, and by the time they finally bothered to look at it, the item was out of stock. Despite this, they still charged me — and I’m now stuck trying to get a refund that no one seems willing to handle.

Their WhatsApp customer service is genuinely terrible. Agents go silent mid‑conversation, and when that happens the chat times out and you’re forced to start all over again with a new person who has no idea what’s going on. It’s a never‑ending loop with zero accountability.

I’ve been left with no item, no refund, and no proper support. Absolutely unacceptable from a brand of this size.

Appalling customer service

Ordered items on 8.12.25, parcel was still not with me on 22.12.25, no email for confirming delivery, I had to chase it. My parcel was hidden by Royal Mail behind some building materials behind our house without a delivery note to explain. Mango sorted it by ‘ I have requested the for the proof of delivery and you'll receive an email within 3-5 minutes’ in their chat then closed the whole conversation down with that. Appalling customer service

Customer service is basically non…

Customer service is basically non existent.
You email a generic “customer service” email address and you get an automated response with a ticket number. Somebody replies.
You reply and you get another automated message with a different ticket number. Somebody else replies (not having read the previous correspondence) and says something different.
And on and on this goes until you give up out of sheer exhaustion and frustration (which I presume is the aim of this model).
This is the worst “customer service” I have ever seen and will never shop at Mango again. Mango needs to urgently change its customer service model if it plans to survive- customers simply won’t shop with you anymore.

I bought two pairs of pants in the…

I bought two pairs of pants in the Mango shop in Bologna for my son. Before I asked the male sales assistant in Kids department if he has a tape measure to measure the pants but right away he said he doesn’t have it or even fake to look for one but he didn’t. Anyway, i decided to buy 2 pairs of pants. I went home and my sonwhp came from school tried them but they were too small.
I went back to the store and showed my receipt and the items to the cashier and she said i have to show her my credit card that i used and i explained i paid with my cellphone and she refused and told me that she will only exchange with the physical card. I showed her all my credit cards and she said these cards do not correspond with my virtual card payment.That same night I wrote to Mango and they said maybe she is a new cashier.
The next day I went and there was another cashier and the return was fast with my virtual card.
Please do not put cashier who cannot do a simple return!!!

Return process is a mess

I like the products, but the experience for return for what was bought online is horrible. Useless customer service. The process is so poorest organized. The provided return labels are not recognized by the drop off points you are asked to use, total mess. Was trying to return 1 product for more than a month, in the end went with posting it back at my own expense. Not sure if I will get a refund or no. Seems that they do it on purpose. Really puts me away from ordering again.

Terrible

echoing everyone's reviews here. How did Mango get so bad? They used to be on par with Zara. My order took 3 weeks to arrive. I tried to exchange 2 items, they ended up refunding me instead. Their customer service is terrible - rude and left the chat after promising to give a 15% discount code to 'rectify the problem' that of course, never arrived. They're not worth the hassle. Maybe if you live near one of their shops and have time to browse but buying online is a nightmare

Be warned - do not purchase from this company

1 star was the minimum required to leave a review - after crappy customer service and after sales and not enough space here to go into details - just don’t deal with this company - it would be more satisfying throwing your money away than purchasing from this shower

Poor quality of items

Poor quality of items, unhelpful customer service, website where you cannot change your email even if logged into your account, in 'My Details'. And even if you contact the customer service (via email since their CS is unavailable on weekends), they do not respond, so you have to call multiple times, when they are there. Can have decent designs, but quality is lacking overall.

Dundee store- Charlotte is great

I wanted to leave a review for Charlotte at the Mango store in Dundee because her customer service was genuinely outstanding. I was trying to track down a pair of shorts and there was only one left, so I phoned the store to ask if they had them. Charlotte took the time to check properly, noted my number, and then called me back to confirm she’d found them. She even set them aside for me so I could travel down to collect them.

The whole experience felt thoughtful and personal, which is rare these days. Charlotte was so kind, friendly, and helpful throughout, and she really went out of her way to make sure I didn’t miss out. She’s a real credit to Mango and made the experience a pleasure from start to finish.

Ordered some shoes November 30th to be…

Ordered some shoes November 30th to be delivered to store as I knew I’d be in MK December 19th….plenty of time for delivery!!! Shoes still not arrived. Tried to talk to customer service about this. Said they would email store to find out where they are and email me…still no email from them. First time ordering from Mango and will definitely be the last. Not looking forward to the wait of the shoes being refunded as don’t look like I’ll be able to collect them. Awful customer service.

If I could give the zero I would

If I could give the zero I would. Much like other reviews, ordered nearly 4 weeks ago with no delivery, no updates. Impossible to the truth out of CS team after chasing several times. Finally Sent me tracking as it was 'on it's way', the tracking said courier didn't have the parcel yet.... Offered a replacement but then couldn't say when it would arrive. Honestly avoid at all costs.

Order was routed to the wrong state and…

Order was routed to the wrong state and sent back to the warehouse. Called customer service twice and asked whether the order can be resent to me at the correct address instead of processing a refund. The first guy said he will email me about next steps instead of refund but instead just processed the refund. The second girl kept saying "I understand what you're saying" without fully understanding that I am asking for in English. As a last resort, when I asked whether I can order the items again at the same price, the response was no - the price discount was one-time and I have to now buy same items at higher price.

Comically bad

I didn’t realise that getting online orders so wrong is still a thing in 2025. Basically, I received an open envelope with an item of child clothing inside that wasn’t even wrapped in protective plastic packaging. Oh, and the item is not easy to wash as it is winter outerwear.

Comically bad. No way to complain, either.

A shambles of an experience

An absolute shambles. Ordered on 5th Dec. Despite the order saying “despatched” at the time, this week, over two weeks later, I received an email telling me two items were unavailable, despite the earlier “despatched” confirmation, and that the order was now ready and waiting for a courier.

Today, I then received an email for the same two items that were flagged as no longer available and hadn’t reached me, with a notification of “my return”.

The rest of the order is delayed with an email stating only that “you”ll receive your order soon” but no tracking or revised ETA.

An absolute joke for a modern e-commerce experience
