The last positive ‘review’ (2022) is seemingly from a family member and the other flurry of ‘reviews’ all came in a day or two of each other.
Odd that.

My fiancée has had a nightmare time dealing with this company and with 'Kelly'.
She first spotted a dress on Etsy, communicated with Kelly, agreed a couple of alterations, paid via PayPal, so far so good. Then things started to take a turn for the worse. First off the Etsy shop disappeared. Then we found a site with the name Bella Grace gowns. Same person trading, same issues. My fiancée did manage to get a response form Kelly, but she never picks up the phone, you have to wait for her to call you back. That disappeared and up popped the bridal nook.com. By this time the dress did actually arrive. And what a mess. The alterations were badly done, the sizing is all wrong and in the words of a local seamstress who examined the dress, it is "diabolical" and "shoddy workmanship" and "would touch it with a bargepole". At this point Kelly decided to completely blank all communications. Not one single word from her, not one email or phone call back. We opened a dispute with PayPal but got nowhere due it being a custom made dress. Citizens advice and trading standards have been next to useless as well. A few things to bare in mind when dealing with whatever company Kelly has running. 1. The very professional looking thebridalnook.com is just a front and full of lies. It claims that the dresses are made in the UK, not true as the same dresses can be found on Chinese sites for a fraction of the price. She is just shipping them in and selling them on, so your hand made dress is mass produced in a Chinese factory.
2. If you wish to return the dress then forget it. The address provided, while a genuine one, is not one she is trading from. We know this by speaking to the owners of the building. They confirmed that quite a few people have tried to contact Bella grace, bridal nook, Kelly etc but to no avail. She doesn't trade from there. Plus if you have had any alterations done, then it is a custom dress and you are stuck with it regardless of how badly they have been done.
Personally I can't work out if she is a con artist or a genuine person who is just really bad at business. Either way avoid at all cost.

DO NOT TRUST THIS WOMAN (Sam, Kelly or whatever her name may be!). I sought her services to make a dress for me in March and was due a fitting this month. When I tried to contact her by text and phone call, she avoided me and didn’t even have the courtesy to inform me she had any issues. Only at the point of a PayPal refund request and numerous negative reviews on her Instagram and Facebook page did she finally respond (and of course I was blocked). She fed me a plethora of excuses; a warehouse fire, hospitalised, family death, family fallout…. And after going through all this, she also fell pregnant…. Except the dates don’t line up and now I’ve seen others declare the same. Despite ALL these issues, she still managed to close her company website down (bellegrace) and managed to open new one despite not being able respond to her previous customers! Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. She is also not registered as a company on companies house so tax avoiding also!!!

All have the same phone number and a couple of addresses around Harpenden. Appears to have tried to run a wedding dress business and failed or just a downright con artist. Takes money agreed to make or alter dresses then hides, with zero communication leaving the bride without a dress, money or any answers

Spoke to the seller in advance of purchase (and checked the website) to ensure that there is a full return policy - I was reassured that there is for standard dress sizes.
Received the dress slightly later than expected, but not by much. Unfortunately it does not fit right or suit me, and so I emailed the seller to ask how to return. I have now sent 2 emails and a message on Etsy over the last 2 weeks and have had no responses. The website seems to have disappeared, and the seller's name has changed on Etsy. I am no closer to knowing how to return the dress and get my money back and am feeling worried that I have lost £312 and been scammed out of the return I was promised was possible.

Left it until the very end of my estimated arrival date (I ordered my gown on 5th April) to inform me that there was a “fire” in her workshop and all the gowns had been lost and I was to be refunded. Noticed she said she had been hospitalised to a different buyer which is why her gown was late. I’m still without a refund and no wedding dress. Either the shop owner has had the weekend from hell with a fire and a hospital stay or she has taken on far too many orders which she cannot fulfil. Still waiting on a refund and a response.

The seller didn't hit the deadline for my bridal gown - she was several days late after the latest given date (on Etsy) and didn't contact me to notify me of the delay until I found her mobile number online and chased her. It was a rather stressful experience given that my wedding was just days away - I had to start shopping around for last minute alternatives and it seriously detracted from the excitement of the the upcoming wedding. The dress finally arrived just 2 days before I left for my wedding - straps were a little long and thank God my sister-in-law is a professional pattern maker and was able to alter the dress the day before the wedding.
Having said all that, the dress when it came is exquisite - the craftsmanship is excellent and I felt absolutely amazing in it - I also think it's good value for money and would recommend. Just order with lots of time spare!!

Just amazing! I was a bit apprehensive buying my wedding dress online, but I just couldn't afford store prices. Kelly was awesome. She guided me through every step, was available to talk to me on the phone any time I needed and she created the most beautiful gown. She even delivered it to me at home and waited for me to try it on to make sure I was happy with it! Exceptional! Thanks so much Kelly.

I'm really happy with my purchase. The dress looks exactly like on a photo. Also I had to order made to measures dress and it's spot on. The quality is amazing and fantastic customer service always ready to help.

We bought a dress from this store for our Granddaughter's first Holy Communion. Admittedly,we were a little apprehensive but Kelly really gave that personal touch and was very communicative throughout. The dress is beautifully made and great quality, and,most importantly, our Granddaughter loves it. Very pleased. Thank you.

Kelly was so helpful and reassuring through the order process, which made ordering the right size a breeze. Dress arrived with no hassle and no delay, and was just like the photos online
