Disappointing product, disappointing company ethos.
I chose this item from what is probably a warehouse full of second-rate items given as rewards by my health insurance company. It worked perfectly three times (model EKT-1271, kettle), after which it never worked again. Since there was no store or retailer to return the defective item to, I contacted the company and explained.
Stella's advice was to "return the product in question to the store/company you got it from." Sound advice in a usual retailer situation, but I hoped that they might be a stand-up company who would make good on their product (since *someone* paid for it somewhere down the line). Bonus disappointment that no one read my explanation before responding.
