Information Technology
The staff are ok. I don't have a problem with them. My problem is the degree of astounding incompetence demonstrated by the executives and management in the Information Technology division. They are frequently releasing changes to their website portal that I find hard to believe went through any sort of testing. Do they release beta versions to the public? Honestly, I find the lack of competence in their work to be utterly amazing. My IT group would never have released the sort of garbage that SDM allows and, yes, my company was a multibillion $ organization. Perhaps not completely surprising - another GW2 company.
Buyer beware . NO refunds for bad products
I bought a mascara sampler pack for $48. Many are dried up and 2 of the 8 smell bad. They refuse to look or help. Customer Service line says no refunds , even for bad products. Rip off ! Stay away
Great necklace, cosmetician Aaliyah!
I was at the Laird and Industrial street location - 25 Laird - and I was so thrilled to see the cosmetician, Aaliyah, wearing a necklace of Israel! I thought that was great. With all the intimidation and harassment going on in the world, it was refreshing to see that she was proudly wearing a necklace of blessed Israel .

The prices are through the roof,if this isn't price gouging I don't know what is.i was there today and I bought lubraderm it was $8 dollars off the regular price, but these savings are few and far between
Wow. Shame on their pricing.
Wow. Check your prices folks. Vitamin B6 Jamieson is $27 at Shoppers as apposed to Amazon Jamieson at $9. I have no interest in shopping there and transferring to a different pharmacy as well. Shame on them.
Worst Company.
Worst Company.
Never got the product.
They never refunded me 227.70 CAD.
They should be banned for unetical practices
Shoppers Drug Mart on Wilson St
Shoppers Drug Mart on Wilson St. in Ancaster has to be the worst drugstore I have ever been in. Was just treated so rudely by a staff member who walked in front of me several times as I am looking for a particular hair product. Finally I stopped her and asked her for help. (as if it wasn't already obvious) She directed me to pharmacy. huh? So I asked specifically where in pharmacy and she just waved her arm in a general direction. Are these people not trained? She was arrogant and I certainly got the impression that this job was way beneath. I will not EVER return to this Drug Store. It's old and dirty. The only thing its good for is the post office.
Abominable customer service
At Innes Rd, Orleans (On) Shoppers I bought an item for foot care. I didn’t notice the box was unsealed because the box was made of acrylic/transparent plastic. Next day I went to return it, the store didn’t take it. The store’s assistant manager was rude, unprofessional and definitely untrained to deal with customers. He blamed me for picking up an unsealed product. He didn’t want to take responsibility for shelving inappropriate products. Typical of Shoppers, and because of this abominable customer service, I avoid shopping at Shoppers. They are ready to lose business but not improve their customer service.
SDM Southgate Mall Chilliwack BC
SDM Southgate Mall Chilliwack BC. I transfered my prescription from out of the province. My permanent residence is not in BC. I am a retired "snowbird" and come to Chilliwack to stay with my son (who lives here) on my way to winter in Mexico or some sunny clime. Because I gave them my son's address in BC they said they could not bill back to my province's drug coverage for seniors. When I tried to explain further the specifics of my situation I was stonewalled. I was shut down in a very rude manner. The pharmacist or manager would not acknowledge my explanation nor my question nor answer it. She would only repeat the same robotic mantra "We don't do that" over and over. I tried to explain that another pharmacy in Chilliwack did do exaclty that and billed back my senior's plan. (I will return to that pharmacy in the future whenever I am here. I thought Shoppers would be more professional. WRONG!) My explanation got me knowwhere. It was like talking to the proverbial "wall." The person was rude and condescending. I was treated as though I was some kind of ignoramous or perhaps a criminal. I was not abusive nor did I raise my voice. I decided this was getting me nowhere. I was pigeonholed and wasn't getting out of whatever label was being imposed on me. If she had simply taken the time to listen, acknowledge me, and then say "sorry, but we still cannot bill-back your insurance plan" I could have grudgingly accepted that. Perhaps she is right and the former pharmacy was wrong to not charge me anything. But the rudeness and condescension is uncalled for. I paid the price and left very frustrated. I will not return there to purchase anything in the future. I will return to the former pharmacy where I was treated much better, respected and received the full benefits of my insurance whenever I am in BC. BTW None of my meds are narcotics or any kind of pain-killer or psycho-active medication. They are all for a heart condition. I really can't explain the shabby treatment. The woman spoke perfect English so I don't believe this could be chalked up to a "cultural barrier." She was just plain rude.
I should also mention I was told on a Monday when I requested the transfer that I would receive a call or text by Thursday (It is now Sunday) but did not receieve any type of messages?)
The Market Street Shoppers Drug Mart is…
The Market Street Shoppers Drug Mart is right in my neighborhood. I drive a couple of kilometres to another one on Main Street. The pharmacy team at the Market Street store have proved to me over and over again that they just don’t care. Tonight I went in and asked the pharmacist if it would be all right if I used peroxide for an abscess tooth and rinsed really well. He looked down at a computer screen and did not answer me. I stood there for three or four minutes while the assistant beside him tried to get him to answer me. I turned and walked away, and he never said a word. The assistant had an embarrassed look on his face. That’s always been the kind of service I get from this store.
Booked appointment for a seniors flu shot but none was available
Had a booked appointment with the pharmacy at 991 King St. W., Hamilton on November 5th for a seniors flu shot. Received 2 reminders of such beforehand. Upon arriving for the shot, I was told they were out of the seniors flu dose. Apparently, booking beforehand for such is meaningless. One would think they would keep track of their bookings and hold shots for people who book such in advance. Poor service and very disorganized.
Honestly felt like I was discriminated against :(
I had an appointment booked to get my flu and covid shot today at 12:00 at the Burquitlam location, store 251. I arrived 10 minutes early to make sure I didn't inconvenience the pharmacy. While I was waiting there was a young couple filling out the paperwork to get their shots so they obviously did not have appointments (which I did confirm with the pharmacist). The person giving the shots opened the door and motioned for the couple to come in. I asked her about my 12:00 appointment and she said "don't worry about it, it's 11:57". I found that pretty rude, why would she elect to take two people who needed multiple vaccines in 3 minutes before someone with a scheduled appointment? Why not take me in, give me the two shots then bring the couple in after, that would have been the right thing to do. My appointment time came and went so I left without getting my vaccinations. I called the pharmacist and asked how I could submit a complaint and he tried to explain that they got in before me because they were getting multiple vaccinations. That didn't make any sense because I was also getting multiple vaccinations but I had an appointment and they didn't. I honestly felt like I was being discriminated against. Needless to say my family will NEVER shop at that location again or use the pharmacy. In fact we will most likely stop shopping all togethers at Shoppers because of the bad experience.
I’m so over the pharmacy department
I’m so over the pharmacy department. Absolutely horrible staff. I will never return and moving all my prescriptions and my mothers to private pharmacy. They forget who the customer is?
Avoid 160 main st Brampton.
Arnprior SDM sucks.
Apparently you have to select at least one star before you can enter your review. For years I had absolutely no problems with this store. But consistently over the past 3 years I have experienced many problems. The most significant is the actual delivery of a prescription. They email a notice that it is ready for delivery but then they fail to deliver. You then must try to contact the store but are no longer able to talk with a real person. I need the prescription, they don't follow through with the actual delivery, can no longer talk with the pharmacy to remind them that a delivery is pending, too late I am dead, WTF.
I refuse to use shoppers any longer
I refuse to use shoppers any longer. They have completely changed, every single employee in the stores I visit in lower mainland are immigrants and they seem to be strictly hiring them only. This WAS a neighborhood store with locals working and helping. It's gone so far down the drain. No paper bags if you're in a pinch they force you to pay $2-$3 per bag.
The prescription department is no better. They have poor communication and my father's meds couldn't be filled for 3 days, landing him in hospital.
Done. No longer support them.
