This shower seal is comprised of a high quality rigid PVC U section designed to comfortably grip any glass ranging from 8mm to 9mm thick with no need for any additional adhesive. It is possible to fit on 10mm glass as well, but the fit is very tight.
These seals are commonly found on the vertical sections of a bath screen where to glass panels meet at 90 degrees. The seal would need to be cut around any hinges that hold the two panels of glass together.
This product comes in 800mm, 900mm, 1400mm or 2000mm lengths and can be cut down to size once you’ve received it.
Installation of our seals is nice and easy. Simply push the seal onto the glass from one end and work your way along, pushing the seal onto the glass as you go. Too tight for 10mm toughened glass, the seal goes on the first piece of glass very tight which was ok. The problem is getting the second piece of glass in, it was ridiculously tight and when I had managed (with help) the seal becomes distorted and holds the two pieces of glass at less than 90 degrees. You can force the two pieces of glass back to a 90 degree angle and I did make the seal work, but it was very difficult.
The product was exactly as stated on the web site, it was what I was looking for, a bit expensive, i thought, but worth it, excellent delivery service, can’t fault it, kept updated about progress on the delivery. Since I’ve bought the first item, I’ve been back again on the site and found another item for our shower cubicle again. I’ve got to say the items are well packaged, Satisfied customer.
