Incorrect information given, slow communications
I spoke to SHPhoto via email, as I wanted to buy a Rollei 35S film camera from them. I had sent them constant emails with no response. Their communications was quite poor, however I put this down to it being the holiday season.
When I finally managed to receive a response, I was told that the camera I wanted to purchase worked perfectly, and that it did not require an adapter to work with 1.5v batteries. Originally this camera required a 1.3v mercury battery.
With this response I purchased the camera immediately.
Something just felt wrong, so I called the store directly, to speak with another technician, (who was extremely helpful), and told me the camera was original and would require either modification or a battery adapter.
Needless to say I was not impressed with the service technician who emailed me with incorrect information. If I would have used this camera with the 1.5v battery they suggested, my films would have been ruined,
To their credit after speaking to them, they cancelled the order very quickly.
