Shropshire tutor have given me a very reliable and professional service. They helped my daughter develop her spelling skills and her confidence grew massively. My daughter looked forward to her weekly sessions as the tutor made every session fun and rewarding. I would highly recommend Shropshire tutor.

My daughter started with Adele towards the end of the spring term in preparation for her 11+ exam. The sessions were fun, well planned and worked well in a group situation.
The classes did what we wanted - not cramming for the exam but familiarisation with the questions, technique and the ability to learn in a supportive group environment.
The great news is that we had the results this week and my daughter passed - thank you a Shropshire Tutor

Would definitely recommend Shropshire Tutor after using then for my son for private tutoring, SATS classes and for my daughter at nursery for Marvellous Maths and Letters and Sounds.
Both of them had increased confidence after learning with them.

Lesley from Shropshire Tutor has been working with our daughter for 11+ preparation for 8 months. Lesley has years of experience working with children of this age group and my daughter genuinely looked forward to each and every session. Communicating with Lesley was straightforward. We had set time each week and if this needed to be re-arranged or cancelled a quick text conversation usually resolved things. Lesley was always punctual and never in a rush to leave spending time with us to discuss what they had been working on. Lesley always prepared sessions and brought any material required. Our daughter was weaker in comprehension so Lesley encouraged her by lending suitable books and worked hard with her vocabulary where we noticeably saw an improvement. Lesley has a vast amount of 11+ mocks and past papers which I think they nearly exhausted by the time the exam came around. I would have no hesitation in recommending Shropshire Tutor and Lesley in particular who is passionate about teaching children, delivers it in a fun way and took the stress out of 11+ preparation

Would like to say many thanks to Adele for all the correspondence we have received about the 11+ tutoring. However at the time my daughter was a little worried about having the extra lessons so we have decided not to pursue for the time being however may consider in the future. Thanks Adele for all your replies to my many questions!!

When looking for some 11+ practice papers for my daughter to do prior to the Newport Girls High 11+ test, I came across Shropshire Tutors. They were very thorough and the communication was excellent. My daughter enjoyed the sessions and I was really pleased with her understanding levels of timing and test taking. I am sure it was due to her confidence from Shropshire Tutors that she was successful in securing a place at NGHS.

My eldest and middle daughters have now both successfully completed their year 6 SATs and both of them smashed them results wise. Through the sats classes provided by Adele and the team both Niamh and Grace oozed confidence and calmness going into their tests and exceeded all our expectations. (Both have sat the harder tests over the last couple of years)
Both girls really enjoyed their lessons on the Saturdays and never once complained about attending. Not only did they learn some really interesting and cool things they also made some new friends, another useful skill and experience when moving up to secondary school.
My youngest daughter will be going into year 6 next year and will definitely be attending these sats classes too.

Unfortunately I hve mixed reviews, I got a tutor for my son who is autistic and was struggling at school, however the tutor kept cancelling on us and/or moving days. Which was doing my son no good. When she did show up she was a lovely lady and was very good with my son so like I say mixed review

My son recently attended the 11 plus classes he loved the sessions and he made some lovely friends.
I would definitely recommend the classes Adele works through practice papers and gives them a great understanding of how the exam day will run.

Have used Shropshire Tutor for both my son and currently my daughter.
Our private tutor was fantastic and it was great to hear my daughter laughing along with Sandra whilst learning.
We are now on our 2nd set of SATS classes. My son did great when he attended and my daughter is currenly so excited to be going to these classes....on a Saturday!

My 8 year old was son is academic but was struggling with his confidence. It took him 20 minutes to believe he could do the task in class by which time the time was over! I was appointed a tutor by Shropshire Tutor and with fortnightly sessions with Lesley my son has gone from middle sets to top sets and is very confident now.
I would highly recommend Shropshire Tutor - here comes Year 5 so need them more than ever now!

My son thoroughly enjoys his lessons with Adele and always tells us the lessons were fun! He has increased in confidence and now feels better prepared to tackle assessments and tests. Adele is friendly and helpful and my son feels completely at ease in her sessions.

We have a wonderful tutor - Sarah Jones - who lets my granddaughter work @ her own pace with much encouragement. No complaints at all. In a recent difficult exam she was not at all fazed by the questions.

My son Ben age 9 (year4) has been with Sarah for a month now. Already we can see the confidence in Ben growing. Sarah is extremely patient with Ben, I often hear Ben and Sarah laughing in a lesson which is great. Ben is really enjoy having Sarah tutor him in maths and English and is enthusiastic every Wednesday about his lesson with her. Her feedback to us at the end of the lesson is fantastic as we’re then able to expand on that during the week. We’re very happy with Bens progress so far and would definitely recommend Sarah.

A professional but friendly service provided. When I asked my 9 year old to review the service she said, "I can now do Maths I couldn't do before" this is good enough for me!

We have been using Shropshire tutor for many years now. Both our girls loved Adele’s Marvellous Maths sessions at smiley faces. It gave them a great head start for school.
Once our eldest daughter started school, her confidence began to drop and she lost all her enthusiasm and zest for her school work. We decided to contact Adele for some extra tution. Adele found the wonderful Gemma for us. Gemma has been amazing for Isla. She has given her the confidence she needs in believing in herself and her work. She puts so much fun and laughter into her lessons which is what Isla thrives on. With out Gemma Isla certainly wouldn’t of got her grades back up to target level. We will continue to use Shropshire Tutor through out our girls education as we know we are receiving the best for them!! Thank you so much!!

We only used Shropshire Tutor over the summer months, prior to my daughter sitting the 11+, to give her the confidence and exam skills we felt she needed help with.

We had a couple of one to one sessions at home and 3 group sessions held in Telford.

I was very impressed with all aspects - the tutors were very approachable and my daughter was put at ease from the very beginning. She was encouraged and very engaged with the process from the start.

Whilst we didn't want to tutor our daughter specifically to pass the 11+, I felt that this was very much a valuable exercise which provided my daughter with some excellent tips and techniques to approach the exam with confidence and understanding,

Just as important was that my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the whole process. I would definitely recommend Shropshire Tutor and would look to use them again in the future.
