Exactly what I wanted finished to perfection
My order number is 1422. My order was finished to perfection despite silly mistakes on my part. I greatly appreciate the time, patience and care they took to complete the order and communicate with me.

The Siege Studios EMC2 (Essentials…
The Siege Studios EMC2 (Essentials Master Class 2) is designed as an intermediate-level follow-up to their EMC 1 course. It focuses on pushing painters beyond the fundamentals, covering a variety of advanced techniques through practical demonstrations and one-on-one guidance. Once again James led the class and took us on a journey expanding on what he had shown us on the emc 1 class earlier in the year using the same concepts used to paint the power sword he went through how to apply it to cloaks and shoulders leaving us with a better understanding of the process. James as a teacher is great you can feel his passion for miniature painting and wanting everyone to be the best as they can be.
The atmosphere over the two days was great luckily most of the class was on the emc 1 course with me so we had already got to know each other. James also taught us how to paint plasma guns and leather. If your stuck and not progressing the emc 1 and 2 are well worth the money and proves you don’t need to learn fancy techniques or use expensive products, focusing on the basics and brush control can get you to a high standard. Hopefully there is going to be a emc 3 course or some sort of refresher to get to the next level. Siege Studios has a great Discord community as well where all the previous students and the Siege team support each to improve.
Unfortunately Trustpilot only allows you to rate 5 star the emc 2 deserves 10

Skaven Chieftain Commission
My third commission from Siege Studios was, like the previous ones, a masterpiece. The collaboration went extremely well; I was always able to get answers to any questions I had about my commission and received equally good suggestions for further improvements. The finished miniature was a masterpiece; I'm sure this won't be my last commission from Siege Studios.

Not worth the money - just watch free tutorials instead.
I only bought an hour as I was unsure how useful this session was going to be. I think it should have been structured differently as more than half of the meeting was watching someone just show me how to glaze (which I didn't ask for when I took out the class and was money poorly spent as I can watch videos on how to glaze with better video). I appreciate the instructor's comments and expertise but it felt like a classroom video/lecture that just happened to be a one on one video. In retrospect money would have been better spent getting WIP comments and hints then a classroom like lecture on how to paint which I guess is what I paid for? I'll take some of the blame as I should have asked more questions on how these were structured before buying the session. Also I guess I could have spoken up when I saw the direction the session was taking and put it back on track for what I wanted out of it instead of just letting the instructor continue on with what he was doing.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re always open to constructive feedback and appreciate your recognition of the instructor’s expertise. It’s important to us that every student gains value from their session, so we welcome the opportunity to respond.
Our tuition sessions are designed to be student-led — you are in control of the content, structure, and pace throughout. To support this, we provide a pre-session form to help tailor the experience to your specific needs. In your submission, you mentioned difficulties with wet blending — particularly the time it was taking, a loss of contrast during the process, and unexpected results once dry.
With this in mind, the tutor carefully structured the session to address these concerns. Techniques such as glazing were introduced, along with guidance on friction, brush handling, colour selection, and paint behaviour — all chosen to help resolve the exact issues you highlighted. These were not general demonstrations but a focused response to your goals.
Throughout the session, you were encouraged to ask questions, offer feedback, or adjust the direction of the lesson. At no point did you express any dissatisfaction or request changes. When alternative methods were discussed, your feedback indicated that they required more time than you were willing to invest, as your priority was maintaining a batch-painting workflow.
While we absolutely respect individual preferences and painting goals, it's worth noting that developing technique often involves trying new approaches — even if they’re not immediately suited to speed painting. Our aim is always to provide tools and understanding that lead to more consistent and satisfying results over time.
We would also like to highlight that our online tuition has received consistently positive feedback from many students, who have found real value in the personalised guidance and interactive format. Unlike pre-recorded content on platforms like YouTube, our sessions offer direct engagement with a tutor who is responding to your specific challenges in real-time. You’re able to ask questions as they arise, request clarification or demonstrations, and steer the session to suit your own pace and goals — something that simply isn't possible with static video tutorials.
We appreciate your acknowledgment of your role in how the session unfolded, and should you decide to book again, we’d be happy to work with you to create a more tailored experience — ideally with clear goals and a collaborative approach to the techniques discussed.
Discord based Airbrush
A really excellent session. My tutor (Simon) ensured I received a thorough grounding in the basics, along with some myth busting and tips and tricks that worked for him. The exercises to practice and retain skills were particularly useful. I was concerned that discord would not lend itself to an airbrush tutorial, but the whole system worked very well indeed.

A fantastic job done from start to finish. The whole process was smooth and explained. They were helpful and informative about about what they could and couldn't do and what was expected to be the outcome. The outcome was fantastic. Every detail was done and the quality of their work was 10/10. With the commission complete there wasn't a single thing that I was even slightly displeased about. I would wholeheartedly recommend Siege Studios as you definitely get the quality that you pay for!

I'm a returning customer to Siege because of the quality of their work and outstanding service. This commission has only served to heighten that already lofty position.
Had a tricky bit of miscommunication for a particularly special order. The team dealt with the issue with precision, empathy and thoroughness. I ended up with a model that fit my exact vision and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. A huge thanks to Siege Studios and I hope to enjoy a long relationship as their customer

Siege Studios master class
Although only attending the second Master Class, the sessions were great insight into painting at a commission/professional based level. The tutor for both days was great. Even gave me valuable critiques at the level I'm at in my miniature painting journey. I feel like I learnt a lot from those 2 days and where I require to improve as a miniature painter. It was great to have a face to face tutor rather than just relying on youtube tutorials. Also gave me tips on how to improve on my brush control and wasn't afraid to mention where to improve on what I'm currently capable of.
I cannot thank Siege and the tutor's wisdom and experience to put together these courses to help improve upon my journey going forward! Thank you Siege Studios for having this kind of course available!

Brilliant experience!
James took me through a lot in the 2 hours we had, he dived into helping me understand where I was as a painter and then from that helped me identify areas to improve and fundamentals to work on. I found it incredibly useful and have continue with the exercises he suggested. Fully recommend to anyone who is unsure of where they are, what’s next etc. the session gave me the confidence to try new things and I will definitely be arranging future follow ups!

Hi Colin,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We understand that pricing is an important factor for you when choosing a commission painting service, and we appreciate the opportunity to provide you with a quote for our premium above industry quality and service which we offer.
At Siege Studios, we specialise in premium, high-quality miniature painting, delivered by experienced professionals who dedicate themselves to meticulous work to each project along with an unrivalled quality control and client experience as shown by the numerous other positive 5 star and repeat customer reviews here on Trust Pilot.
Our pricing reflects the level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, consistency, quality control and expertise that go into every commission. We value all our teams experience and talent in studio and want to make sure they are rewarded correctly for this along with providing the best commercially available quality in the industry. While we may not be the right fit for every budget, we always strive to ensure our clients receive a quality and level of service that meets our industry leading standards and expectations. Our website and galleries have clear and informative descriptions of our levels along with studio images showing the various premium qualities of miniature painting we offer. This is to best guide perspective clients in making the right choice for their quote with us and what the purpose of your miniatures is, be that gaming or display.
On our contact form upon requesting a quote we do stress to complete information and select the right level options for your commission so that we can quote you as accurately as possible for your requirements. Unfortunately as no levels were filled in on the contact form you completed, we quoted at our minimum levels for the miniatures you asked for in the studios box art style.
Although only 32 miniatures, your quote included multiple characters which as per our website clearly stating we only paint to our Silver level display quality as a minimum. The remaining 30 high detail infantry were at our Bronze premium gaming level which is the lowest level for the box art style which we execute as a studio. We do have our Warrior Workshop level which is our tabletop alternative, had we been given the opportunity and request on the initial contact form for this level, we would have quoted you for this. As our contact form was part completed we made the best quote we could given the information provided and requested.
If you’re looking for a different price point, we completely understand, and there are many other options available in the market to suit various budgets and situations. However, as with any other premium brand or hand crafted artisan services in other industries outside of wargaming and miniatures, quality and cost go hand in hand and we do not compromise on quality as a company for a cheaper cost.
We wish you all the best in finding a service that aligns with your expectations and budget. Should you ever wish to explore premium painting again in the future, we’d be happy to assist you with a quote.
Great Painting job, as always!
Thanks for supporting my Hundred Kingdoms Army Project! Now nearly able to field 2000 Points in a glorious, fully painted, charge, across some tournament tables! (1186)

I expected more of the pdf
I expected more of the pdf, honestly any YouTube tutorial is at least as helpful.
But t does not cover all the miniature details to a highest quality standard, in my opinion.

Hi Javier,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We genuinely appreciate your opinion and your custom, as we are always looking for ways to improve our tutorials for all future customers.
We’d like to take a moment to clarify that this particular tutorial is clearly stated as a foundation tutorial, designed as an introductory guide for lower levels of painting. As outlined in the product description, it consists of 17 in-depth steps, providing a full paint recipe, complete technique breakdown, high-resolution images for each step, and accompanying audio commentary to guide painters through the process.
While we always aim to provide valuable instruction, this tutorial is not intended to cover every miniature detail to the highest possible standard but rather to give a structured foundation for painters looking to improve their skills. For those seeking more advanced techniques, we offer additional resources tailored to higher skill levels.
That being said, we truly appreciate your feedback and will continue to refine our tutorials to ensure they meet the needs of all our customers. If there’s anything specific you feel could enhance the experience, we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Hola Javier,
