RANSOMWARE ATTACK
Seiman’s Manufacturing had a ransomware attack which shut down the company from 3/27 until 4/2.
During this time employees were not being paid, employees were not informed of the ransomware attack or the fact that personal and banking information was potentially obtained until a company meeting the morning of 4/2.
During this time, an employee asked very basic questions, to which the company refused to answer then asked him to leave the meeting and FIRED him 3 days before his 90th day with the company.
Seimans has offered no credit protections or time for employees to contact the proper agencies and protect their identities.
I attempted to contact them the evening of 4/2 at 5pm and requested a call back to the following questions by 5pm 4/3 and did not receive a response.
The questions we need to know:
Exactly what employee and customer information was obtained?
How much do they want for it?
How long have they had the information?
When was the last manual backup of the company servers? (They think sometime in February- no exact date was given)
What protections are the company putting in place for the employees and consumers that have been affected due to their own negligence?
