Ti Bottle Cage Warranty Claim Sorted Instantly

I had a Ti bottle cage that cracked. Contacted Silca at 9.00 PM UK time and sent some photos, and they returned within an hour. No quibble warranty fulfilled instantly, replacement agreed in less than 12 hours, new product arrived within 48 hours of initial email.
What is not to like about that service?? Top class!

Do not buy from SILCA if you are in the…

Do not buy from SILCA if you are in the EU especially Germany - their so called European warehouse is just another fulfilment service offered as a third party service - I ordered - 27.11.24, product wasn’t sent out for four days - and then pretty much returned immediately after getting to Germany as all that was on the package in terms of Adress was my name and the town I live in. It’s laughable if it hadn’t happened on two separate occasions ! Customer service is basically non existent with them ….

Happy with their products and service

Happy with their products and service. I have been using their hotwax and super secret dripwax and sealant for a few years now. The sealant has saved me quite a few times from big punctures. And I can't remember the last time a chain had to be replaced. A week ago I noticed a bottle with a burst cap in my storage. Silca sent a new bottle free of charge. Sure to say my next bottle holders and socks are probably going to be silca's too.

Silca velo, avoid if in Europe

Silca velo, has a useless delivery service within Europe and terrible customer support. Placed order on 14-May and nothing received. Tracking stops at the German depot. Website just says "fulfilled". No answer to emails. Very disappointing, I won't be ordering anything again. 😡😡😡😡

Buy from a local bike shop and don't expect warranty

I recently purchased a 2nd generation torque wrench kit directly from Silca.cc. Within a week of use, the ratchet wrench mechanism broke (for reference my 1st generation wrench became loose but still usable after 3 years).

Contacting Silca's sales email address was easy, and they said a replacement would be sent to me. That was well over two weeks ago. Despite follow up emails, I still have not heard anything from Silca regarding warranty replacement.

It's a shame really. I really liked their products, but there seems to be quality control issues and the customer service has been lacking.

If you can, I recommend buying from a local bike shop in case your Silca product breaks within the return period. And don't expect the warranty to be honoured.

EDIT: as of 2024-July it seems at least in the EU, Silca's logistics have been much improved. Product quality still seems rough on the edges.

Silca clearly have some distribution…

Silca clearly have some distribution and communication growing pains. They have listed products on their website for immediate delivery and in stock for the UK but it has taken over two weeks and many emails to customer service to just get an order dispatched. Still no sign of the products but to be fair they did give some discount/refund as a sign of recognising they are falling short. They should really update their website to give realistic customer insight into the delivery rather than a black hole and disappointing expectation setting.

Poor communication and customer service

Placed an order over a week ago and still not dispatched. No communication from company until I asked for an update and they still don't know when it will be sent. Not a great experience.
