I found Similar Worlds after "Yahoo! Answers" shut down. It's a much smaller community, so you get to know everyone well. It's a fun environment to hang out, chat, and laugh.

There are some poor reviews on here, but no site is perfect. There's always going to be a few bad people, no matter where you go.

It's good to have a sense of humor and not take anything or anyone too seriously.

You can use SW to publish any sort of writing, or just chat. It's easy to make new friends, and you get a lot of responses to your posts. The admins are super cool and go above and beyond to help with anything you want. Only downsite is a few weirdos here and there, but you learn to live with them lol. Most of the people on SW are fun and super sweet, and we'd all love to see some more new people here!

I lost all respect for this site. Other members can be very cruel with their gossip, drama, etc. They make you feel bullied to the point you get blocked for no reason and without explanation. The environment can be toxic, and if you don't fall in with their niche, they have no sympathy. From what I experienced, even the creators (moderators) of this site don't wish to address the issues that are concerning those that are affected the most. Even with a paid membership, it doesn't matter to them. I can't recommend them to anyone, it might be better to go elsewhere

I don't know why people are complaining about this site. All sites have their problems and it's just common sense that anywhere you go you're going to have trolls, perverts, and crybabies. However, I have been there since the site launched and I must say as a long time member, the administrators are the hardest working people I have ever seen. They go out of their way to help people. Sure you have your trolls, but you also have some of the nicest people there, and if you don't like someone, it's great to have the option to simply block them and get them out of your way. Here they try their best to please everyone, and then you always have complainers. Never happy no matter what you do. Yes there's a lot of categories but that's because people were complaining that they wanted a lot more categories, so that's what we got. A conscientious, hard-working, caring staff. People need to get off their high horse and appreciate all the hard work these people have done and gone through to make this site, the best it could be. You get out of it what you put into it. I especially love this site because it is so easy to navigate. I hope they never change, nor add more features, though. I think it's pretty complete as it stands and I think it's one of the best social websites I've yet to encounter. The staff are so friendly. I have met some great people on Similar Worlds. But I can't get over how the staff bends over backwards to be helpful and they really listen to what people say and express any changes they would like. I just wish people would take time out to support them more and congratulate them for a great job. Well done, guys! I've yet to see a website that can compare to you.

My account got restrictions put on it because people are basically cry baby's who can't take a joke they have no idea why users keep leaving like myself after about 5-6 years there and a VIP paying user they put restrictions on me for being to awesome (shrugs shoulders)
Can't say I miss the site at all , they took away the main features that made the site fun just like EP it will just be a memory in a few years from now
I just spend my time now making fun of stupid ugly fat people in real life instead of on a web site

This site is absolutely terrible if you wanna keep your mental sanity avoid this place people form cliques on here and if they don't like your opinion they will harass you with multiple accounts the admins don't do anything.

As a website it has flaws

Reporting of serious issues aren’t dealt with quick enough, popular users who create issues aren’t dealt with quick enough - they tend to use their status for bad behaviour which they tend not to take accountability for bc they’re allowed to continue with no regard to anyone outside their circles feelings particularly newbies ( they contribute to the rotting away of the site ) their followers/simps enable this kind of negative behaviour

There a few moments that it feels ok to be there however if you are joining SW to find answers to serious personal experiences then be warned some users will use your vulnerability to their advantage

Others will support in a fleeting manner ( passing by with some friendly advice ) if you choose to open up to someone privately depending on who it is then your info could be past along to another member just so they know your background and if you happen to say something they don’t like on a open post they will cut you off and use the info you shared with them privately against you

You have been warned

Everything else is depravity, which should be dealt with by admin yet members with morals tend to block the depraved mostly on their own re this issue/s which is a shame as it speaks volumes as to what the site ultimately stands for .. ( nothing )

If you are fortunate enough to meet someone you get along with exchanging emails and continuing correspondence that way is better as you can have private conversations in peace without wondering if what you shared is being shared

Other than that have fun … in a respectful way.

I’ve been here since the start and would recommend the place. Like anywhere online you’ll find good and bad people. If you dislike someone, you can block them and never see them around or just mute them so you don’t see their posts and comments on the main feed. You are able to use a lot of settings to fit what you want from the site.

As I said in my first review I believe a couple of years ago, the administrators do quite well considering there’s only two of them. They update things to make the site even better and do what they can to also handle issues as soon as possible and as fair as possible.

Recently myself and MANY others were overwhelmed by a situation where a user publicly and privately manipulated good people and when they began to learn the truth about her made up stories(one w/exact details from a movie/show), the woman posted publicly and privately specific user’s names, private messages she wrote from multiple fake accounts to contact who blocked her when she became irate w/them for either not agreeing w/her and continuing to fight or for seeing through the manipulation she used to try to force them to stay. She publicly and privately posted for days numerous things against terms and on top of it blamed specific user’s names who blocked her for her suicidal feelings and told everyone to blame them. She also pushed and scared young girls and others to message those who blocked her asking them to stop harassing her- the people who blocked her for her erratic and cruel behavior and didn’t reach out to her in any way nor post hateful things. When people refused or didn’t see truth in the private messages she shared, they were on her hate list and added to the people she said harassed her. She posted an obscene pic of an extremely bloody sheet on a blocked users public post saying to check her messages(fake account was used b/c her main was blocked by the person). She messaged please stop harassing me, I’m bleeding out can’t you see and I can’t take it etc. Then she screenshot it and posted it w/that users name and said please tell her to stop harassing me she won’t stop. When people started realizing she pulled similar things early this month, they mostly ignored her disturbing posts and she messaged them the same gruesome pic for sympathy stating she was gang raped(even said that publicly) and needing surgeries. The details were described almost the exact way the true storyline of movie/series, “Delhi Crimes” did from her country. Then a user learned her pic was a stolen google pic which was not surprisingly given her story. Her fake stories were used to manipulate those who ended friendships into staying as well as her constant suicide threats and telling them it’s their fault. She also posted and sent voice notes of her screaming and fake crying and blaming specific users for ending their brief friendships when they couldn’t handle the stress of arguing about everything all the time w/her. When it didn’t work, she messaged a screenshot of her cyberbullying report to some users stating “these users are responsible if death occurs” and she posted multiple names and even blamed the staff for allowing harassment that never occurred to her. She harassed many good people and put an extreme amount of weight on those who tried to help her thinking she was truly suicidal and she used that to hurt and manipulate them. The user was suspended or banned for good reason- for breaking terms and harassing many people. The admins go strictly by facts and their terms to determine the truth which is very fair.

Yes, there are good and bad people on this site like any other site. The difference here is that the good have become like an online family who try to support those veteran and new users who are in real pain needing legitimate friendly support and some people can take advantage of that as recently. We welcome new members when they join and look forward to new posts from new users.

The most horrible site for social networking. There trollers, racists and abusive language. There is hatred out of jealousy and worse that people attack in a group. This is like going to a high school and facing bullies

When people say this generation is soft I really do believe it. Many of the older dudes on there are so serious all the time. It seems they're only on there to creep on women. Then if you joke around they get offended so easily. They'll call you a cyber bully or troll over anything these days....it's kinda sad. Good thing there's other sites though. I personally know of 2 other sites were people aren't so sensitive. Similar Worlds is a place for crybabies.

Similar world was a turning point for those that lost experience project and took advantage.

It was great for a while but now it just complicated. You have a lot of weird active groups. You got the diaper loving group, that one weird guy that wants to **** animals, the man haters club, the one hot model that simps gather for, the crazy Australia chick that makes more account than the untie me guy, you got the emotional unstable females that hurt themselves for attention from simps, the questions that are posted are weird as **** and then you got the admins. Pretty sure they're regretting making the site but are too scared to admit it.

If you're looking to find new fetishism then this is the place for you

Grate platform for just having a laugh and possibly making new friends.

I'm using this flatform for the last 4 years, i always feel so free minded and honest with others, can't compare this with other social media platform

All the users here behave like a family. It is different from overly crowded spaces where it is hard to find your own tribe, not here though. The interface is super helpful and easy to use. The website looks pretty. There are lots of good features such as whiteboards in your profile, virtual gifts, etc..

On this website you can talk to many different people. So far I did not have any problems here. The layout and options are also good. I also got interesting answers to my questions and interesting questions to answer. So far, I have only blocked one person, the rest is decent. It has been good.

Similar World's is an anonymous social media website that was created when Experience Project was shutdown.

I like the dynamic of the website and it is a good place to express thoughts and experiences that I wouldn't necessarily get the opportunity to express to people I know in real life

The website could do with more users but it seems to be growing. Yep there are unsavoury people on the website but that's part of what makes it great sometimes all these different characters.. There's someone for everyone to talk to who are like minded.

Similar Wrolds is pretty awesome. It's not exactly an intelligent forum, but there are enough interesting people to make it worthwhile. The thing is that you literally always get replies on your posts, and I think that's the main upside. It honestly just needs more members, so that the community doesn't feel so tight.

I have found many interesting people and discuss history, family life, old school memories(!) and other things. It is easy to use, easy to search and seems well regulated.
